Oh man bummed to miss it. We made it to the last day of pipe masters in Dec but we left before finals due to wind and rain. This would have been very cool.

It sounds great! The problem for us is that whenever we’ve been on the north shore during a surfing competition, both the traffic and parking are almost impossible, an absolute nightmare. Aside from getting there at 5 am, does anyone have any advice?

We are at Aulani now and as much as we would have liked to attend traffic and parking discouraged us. They took away a lot of the street parking and traffic to the north was crazy according to local news reports. The waves at Aulani are pretty impressive today so I can only imagine what they are like on the north shore.
