The Duggar Announcement

They believe in "letting God decide the size of their family" (no birth control, vasectomy, tubes tied, etc.). So she's probably going to keep popping out kids until she can't anymore. And she's getting old and her body won't be able to handle it anymore..... her babies will be prone to birth defects.

Pregnant for three months??? Isn't that about as long as they've been married?

They need to just calm down in the bedroom. Seriously.

I guess maybe its a honeymoon baby?

I was watching the episode where they had the eighteenth baby, and Jim Bob and Michelle attended this birthing class.... and the message was pretty much that you can and should do it while you're pregnant (they said it's good for you and eases the delivery). I was shocked that the Duggars, who are all "internet is evil" "television is evil" (they have their own TV show btw... yet they believe TV is evil), would think this way. I think their eighteen years or so without being able to show affection has resulted in a marriage full of it.

Today I had late start and decided to watch 18 Kids and Counting on On Demand and was watching the episode when Jim Bob, and Michelle are on the Today Show and they bring out a small tv maybe 9 inches for the kids to watch it on.
It was all blurry and yucky I was like come on you have your own tv show lol
Also I think the kids can have something like 15 minutes of computer time a day...
I was shocked when they were hiding the screen because of a girl had "immodest" clothing on in a commericial
I was think seriously welcome to the real world they said they didnt want there boys falling for girls or something like that because of clevage or something...
They also said when ever there on the street and they say a immodest girl they say Nike and there boys look down so they dont see the girl, seriously sheltering your kids or what?

But the thing is there are only three or so days a month you can actually get pregnant. They have to know when she is most fertile. I think they plan it.

ugh i could never do that...it's like that poor woman's purpose is just to have kids. i would get so sick of it after a while. i mean obviously i would love my children but at some point she's got to wonder...:confused3

I actually admired the Duggars for a little, because of the way their kids are so obedient. But after I saw the wedding episode, it seemed like Josh and Jim Bob (lol, I laugh every time I hear his name) seem to have a dominant view of women. It seemed like all Josh cared about was getting to the hotel room, afterwards. You know what I mean? I no longer have any respect for them. I think Michelle will probably have kids until she dies in childbirth.

That's my problem with them. You do not "train" kids, kids are not to be "obedient". They are not dogs.
Kids are to be well-mannered, well rounded, but should still be able to act like kids. IE; no raising the wee ones, no excessive chores assigned to them each day, etc.

I agree. Michelle hardly even does anything since her children are busy raising her other children.

I didn't mean that they were trained, just super-obedient. There's nothing wrong, however, with children obeying their parents.

Yes. Either that, or they spent 95% of their time in the bedroom when they should be out actually raising the kids that they already have.

Those poor children are not going to be well-rounded, open-minded, or accepting of other people at all.

Whats so bad if it is a honeymoon baby? At least they were married then got pregnant
Nothing is wrong with that. I'm happy that they're having a child together, I just don't agree with the way the men in that family treat the women.

I hate that (in this family) the women are seen as only good for baby yeilding and taking care of their 'man'.
