Even though it is our last day today, I am still buzzing from last nights MNSSHP. This was our first one and we loved it.
Initial concerns about the park being cleared of non party guests seemed to have been done really well as we didnt see anyone without a wristband after 7.
Crowds seemed fairly light with rides having an approx wait time of 10 mins - even Winnie the Pooh! Peter Pan was 20!
We had our pics with Minnie (1st in all the park!) her costume was fab and then over to Mickey the Scarecrow. We then did the Alice in Wonderland walk which included lots of trick and treating and characters. The cast members were dressed as the cards and we saw Mr Walrus, Tweedledum & dee. We then hung around Mrs Potts as we understood from other Dis users that the 7 dwarfs come out here. No sign but we did see Mummy Eeyore, skeleton Tigger and Flower Piglet. pooh did come out but wasnt in a costume!!!
20 mins til the parade so we decided to go to guest services to ask about the dwarfs but we found room on the kerb in the middle of main st with 20 mins to go!! it was an excellent spot and we grabbed it. The parade was excellent and DH liked it better than Spectromagic but I am still undecided.
After we walked passed Mrs Potts again we went to Stitch's dance party. Stitch was dressed as Elvis and Donald was dressed as a pumpkin but you couldnt get pics with them which was a bit disappointing but I did get a dance with Donald.
We then walked (you guessed it) back towards Mrs Potts before we went back to Main St for the Fireworks and guess what, we saw them, all 7 inc Snow White, just walking in from their photo shoot!!!!!!! GUTTED!!. We asked the Cast Member and he said they were due back out at 9:45, the fireworks started at 9:30 what should we do????
We decided to go to Main St for the fireworks and then as soon as they were finished we would head back to Mrs Potts.
Fireworks were out of this world = amazing!! Better than Wishes.
We headed back to Mrs potts and there was a line already but we were only about 7th in line so we were fine. Then the door opened and there was Snow White and Dopey and ......................Nothing!!! The cast member came over and said there was a problem down the mine and the other dwarfs couldnt come out!!! GUTTED AGAIN. We had our photo with Dopey and asked the CM if they were coming out again. He said they were scheduled for 11 but didnt know if they all would be out.
We decided to walk over to Splash and Thunder trick and treating as we went. Cinderellas coach was all lit up near Peter Pan and Small world but this had a huge line so we skipped it. Splash had broken down!!! so we could only do Thunder but this was awesome in the dark.
Did more trick and treating then went to see if Jack Sparrow was around but a CM said he would only be in the parade. Had pics with Tarzan but Jane was around but we had missed her.
10:35 so guess where we went - Mrs Potts!!!! No one else was there so we started the front of the line, sat down and munched on some of our goodies.
The line got bigger and bigger but we were at the front and praying for all 7. At 11 the door opened and 1 by 1 they all walked out - woo hooooo. Each dwarf then grabbed a child by the hand and started to walk away and I was thinking oh no where they going!!! Then Sleepy grabbed my hand and started skipping across the park with me!!! We were headed to the Snow White ride and we couldnt possibly be going on there with the dwarfs - could we??? YES WE COULD!!!! If you had been picked your family could join you so DH ran over and we went on the Snow White ride with the 7 dwarfs and it was amazing. They were scared when we saw the queen and cheered when we saw Snow WHite, it was really interactive. We then got our photo - hooray!!!!.
This made my holiday and have been buzzing ever since - I am such a big kid!!!
I loved it so much I persuaded DH to take me back and we are going again tonight.
BOO HOO home tomorrow.
