Day 1 - Myself & Husband

We left for the airport at 6am for Virgin Flight VA075 - no problems at all through security as I was panicking carrying my insulin - no one even asked me!!!
First time flying with virgin and it was the worst flight ever. I was really uncomfortable and had had enough after 2 hours! I am not a snob but have never flown economy before and dont think I ever will again!
We arrived around half an hour late because military planes were flying around New York and they apparently closed air space last minute and we had to fly around.
First time into MCO and that was fun! Got our car and off we went. Even though I told DH several times the way we need to head he still went the wrong way but eventually we got to the Sheraton Studio City Hotel. really nice hotel and was really pleased. Went for some tea at Black Angus and then went back to get some well earned sleep!!

Universal Day 2

Sounds as though things improved once in Orlando.

I have only ever flown economy so don't know any different. I think the only trouble when you start upgrading it must be extremely hard to go back down but that is the same with everything.

At least with Virgin you get plenty of entertainment. With chartered flights you only get one set of entertainment programmes. We are flying with Virgin for the first time in August, so I am hoping we find it enjoyable. :)

sorry to hear you had such an uncomfortable flight, :sunny: glad things were better on arrival :sunny:

We loved the Sheraton Studio City when we stayed there :goodvibes Off to read the next instalment now :sunny:

Ditto, we have ever only flown economy so don't have a problem, but my Dad was taken ill abroad one year and they had to fly him home to a hospital and they flew him first class and obviously my Mum aswell, she said once you have flown like that you don't want to go back!

Know what you mean about not being able to get comfortable , well Joshua does!
Even when we upgraded to Premium Economy he still couldn't fully settle - guess flying isn't his thing anymore.

In August Joshua's medicine passed through the MCO scanners without any comments from security at all - apparently they can tell what sort of liquid it is?

I would guess economy is a strain once you've upgraded!

:sunny:
