I just thought I might share my story with all u disney fans out there!
It all started around Feb. 2002..my friends and I started talking about our birhtdays and stuff and what we wanted to do. We all had the same plan: to do nothing. We were tired of the same old birthday parties and wanted to do something different when lo and behold we came up with the idea of going to wdw to celebrate all of our birthdays together. But who were we kidding? As if it were actually possible? No way were our parents going to let us do that. One day i just had to give it a try so i talked to my dad about it and to my amazement he agreed! He even agreed to pay for all of the tickets, hotel, food, and transportation. I told my friends and we were all thrilled. My parents were the ones that were coming with us..along with my older sisters and my 2 best friends. We scheduled the trip for January 2003. The next few months were all about planning. We decided on the Disney Gold Plan for ALL of us. There was 8 of us in total. And my dad was paying for EVERYTHING. The days went by slowly until finally the day came when it was time to visit our dream world. My family and my friends met up at he airport..reality hadn't sunk in yet. Our flight was fun and we played some tricks on people (one of them had to do with salt)haha..when we got there we had a limo waiting for us and we were on our way to the Polynesian. We peered out through the sun roof and rocked out to music it was so awesome. When we got to our hotel we went straight for the room (we had booked the king kamehameha suite) and our jaws dropped..
there was a cake with ballons and confetti on a table with a birthday card signed by mickey mouse..it was soo cool! The cake was yummy too. Just then we heard the fireworks outside and my friends and i wanted a closer look so we went down to the beach and sat on one of those swings and were all bunddled up together (it was freezing!) and watched the fireworks..it was the most incredible feeling! The cold wind in our face, the music the fireworks everything was unbeliveable! the reality sunk in- we were finally there living our dream. We look at each other and we each had tears in our eyes..we will never forget that trip..the memories we have are priceless. For 10 days we were princesses doing whatever we wanted. This just proves that if u wish hard enough dreams really do come true. I hope ya'll liked my story!
