This is my first PTR so if I need to change something or do something else, just let me know.
The cast:
Me!!! My name is Carla and I'm 26. I have never been to Disney before. Though my birthday always fell right at the summer releases of the new Disney movies so my uncle would always take me as my birthday present. So I have been a Disney girl for a long time.
DH who is 34 has never been to Disney either. He's also never been to a beach (thinks the lake counts)! Hubby is a firefighter/EMT. We've been together for over 5 years now and have been married almost 2 years (next month).
DD is 3 now but she will be 4 in October. She has taken after her Mom with the love of everything Disney. She loves the Princesses but also loves almost all other Disney movies too. See, she's wearing a Cinderella dress with a Jasmine tiara. Jasmine is by far her most favorite of all.
So there's the family. DFIL might be going with us also though he hasn't given us a definite answer yet. I guess he has some time to think about it but it's killing the planner in me.
When:
Our dates are April 27th thru May 1st. We are going to hit only 2 parks and SeaWorld. With what Hubby does, it's hard to get lots of time off and I want a day per park since it is all of ours first visit.
Where:
All-Star Movies! I have a Dalmatian named Blaze so I am hoping to stay in the Dalmatian rooms. My dream will be to one day stay at WL and AKL (with the Savannah view). But those can come later.
Why:
Hubby and I both have had a tough way to go once we hit our 20s. I went through a nasty divorce before meeting Hubby. It was fate that brought us together. Then 4 years ago I lost my Mom. She was my only parent and it was REALLY tough on me. Hubby had lost his Mom when he was my age so he was a great support.
We started our lives together when I found out I was pregnant with Squeak (daughter's nickname). We've been through a lot together and been through many rough times. Our only vacation we have been on in the 5 years we've been together was up to the Buffalo, NY area for his brother's wedding. Granted it was nice but now we NEED a family vacation.
Disney was always one of those "One Day" talks. That one day never seemed to come. On Mother's Day I was watching a Jon & Kate Plus 8 marathon. On one show they went to Disney. That's when it hit me. You know, we only live once. If they can handle that many kids AND drive, so can we!!! So I started the planning. Hubby had no say in "one day". Nope, you are going!
Itinerary:
April 27th- Wake up and drive from NC to Disney!!!! Everything will be packed, dogs will be at the kennel and I'll probably get no sleep.
April 28th- Magic Kingdom!! I can't make ADRs yet but here is what I'm hoping for. Lunch @ Cinderella's Royal Table. Dinner has yet to be decided. Maybe spur of the moment. Any recommendations are accepted.
April 29th- Animal Kingdom!! Breakfast @ Tusker House. Lunch maybe at Flame Tree (heard it's good). Besides DD's love of the Princesses, her love for animals is the most. So I think she'll love AK. Afterwards, hit Downtown Disney!!! Dinner somewhere there. I'm going to build me a light saber and spend lots of money. LOL
April 30th- SeaWorld!!! DD is going to love it. But before heading out, Breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Dinner I think will either be at SeaWorld or the Resort. Get some good sleep.
May 1st- Breakfast @ Ohana and leave to come home.
