The Dolphin or the Swan??????

I have ressies for AKL in October, but I am considering swithching to S/D due to the teachers discount.

OH but which one???????

I will have 3 children ages 7,10 and 13 with me plus my dad who is fairly picky. Can anyone offer me any advice?

Hi there - we're staying at the Swan for the first time so I'm not an expert but I'll tell you what I've hypothesized on the situation by asking around. We choose the Swan because:

a) All the rooms are renovated and have the heavenly beds

b) We don't have kids and I've read on these boards that the Swan was the better choice for non-kids couples and the Dolphin for couples with kids.

c) We love the breakfast at Garden Cove Cafe at the Swan

That's our reasoning, but I truly think since these are sister resorts you'd be happy with either. Maybe the Dolphin because you have kids, but I don't know...I really like the renovated rooms idea.

We were at Disney last month for 8 nights and 3 of them were at the Dolphin. We LOVED it there! We had a great view and the rooms were very nice. The pool is very nice as well. You just can't beat the location and we never had to wait for a ferry boat to take us to Epcot or MGM. We had 3 kids and the inlaws with us and we all had a great time. We are going back to Disney for Christmas and had Pop Century booked but since they came out with the AP rate at the Dolphin..we are staying there for the week!
