The Dolphin Hotel and Magic Bands

Hey everybody,

I searched in the swan and dolphin thread but could not find the answer to my question.

My GF and I will be arriving for a 5 day stay at the Dolphin on Friday, December 15th (9 days!). We are very excited as this is our first time staying in the Dolphin hotel. We know that the Swan and Dolphin are not linked with the magic band for room keys, room service, etc. But, we wanted to know will we still get a magic band apon arrival for fast passes, park tickets, etc? Or will we have to buy one to link to MDE. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You will have to purchase your own magic band separately if you wish to have one!

They sell them for about $13 each at the Disney ticketing desk in the lobby.

If you have old MBs from a previous trip, they will still work.

I use a lanyard myself with zip-top pouch to keep both my room key and park ticket. I would not like a Magic Band since I dislike wearing anything tight like a watch on my wrist.

As PP mentioned, if you have MB's from a past trip, just bring those. If not, there is no need to buy MB's as the plastic ticket cards will work just fine. You can buy them if you really want them.
