The Dole Whip was everything you promised it would be!!

I had my first Dole Whip on my recent trip in May and I wanted to be sure that I thanked everyone here on the DIS boards who recommended it to me. I had been to Disney at least 8 times before and I had never managed to have a Dole Whip. I will never miss out on one again!! It was awesome!

I had the float, by the way, is that what everyone means when they say "Dole Whip"? I think just the soft serve part could also be referred to as a "Dole Whip". Just checking!

And, this was a great bang for the buck as a snack credit. no $2 bottle of water for me! Give me those Dole Whips and pronto!! Loved it -- thanks for the tips, guys!!

PS If Mel HappyHaunt is reading, I hope you get your Dole Whip soon. Maybe you got one on your May trip, I haven't gotten to read the report yet. I'm looking forward to it!

I hear so many good things about the Dole Whip. I have been to disney several times and never have had one of these delicacies. Are they available as a snack option on the dining plan and where can you find these???

Yes, they are a sanck option and you get them in Adventureland at Aloha Isle. It is on the right as you head toward the Jungle Cruise. At $3.49, they are a good deal as a snack credit!

DD is at WDW right now and I told her to go to Aloha Isle and get one. She called me back and said, "Guess what I got? A pineapple dole whip! It's awesome! It's like a hawaiian party in your mouth!" I love that kid. She is so expressive for a 9 y/o!

I'm making it my business to get one of these in Oct. I always say that I'll try it but I always end going back to get my all-time favorite citrus swirl.
But hey, I can always have both!!!

They sell Dole Whip's in my hometown! I can have one anytime--but, it is not the same as having one in MK!!!

Ok, I have never had a Dole Whip, but I can see I MUST have one on our next trip in Oct! I don't usually "do" ice cream unless chocolate is involved, but I will make an exception, I guess!

Ok, I am not trying to spoil the Dole Whip by revealing too much information about them, but does anyone know how much sugar they have? I'm VERY sensitive to sugar and need to be careful how much I consume in one sitting (can't do more than 20 grams or so.) I REALLY want to try a Dole Whip, but it would about kill me to over-indulge. Does anyone have the nutritional values so I know how much I need to limit my "intake?" hahaha! Thanks!

I was just visiting a friend in Sarasota in April and one day when we were out, she said she was taking us for a "special treat". We were going to an orange grove for an ice cream that tasted just like a creamsicle. Well, to my surprise the "ice cream" they were serving were Dole Whips. So, I just sat there and enjoyed my treat and pretended I was sitting in Adventureland at the MK!
