So, I have never written a trip report before, so if this is boring or just plain bad please let me know, (politely), and I will stop. But I have read a few of these, and I think I have the format down. :goodvibes

So here we go- the cast:
Potterpants- aka Potter, Poopy, Poopy- face, Smoochie- face, Mr. Wigglebottom or any other stupid thing that comes out of my mouth when talking about my beloved dog. Itchypants won't be comming with us on this trip, (it's our honeymoon... no kids get it) but we talk about him enough, so he should be introduced.

Pottersmom- that's me. Newlywed, book lover, obsessed with the DIS and my furbaby.

Daddy- aka DH, Soup Nazi. DH and I have no human children, but have fallen into the undesireable habit referring to one another as "mommy" and "daddy". AS in, "go see mommy"..."is daddy going to take you potty outside?" Stuff like that. People like us always made me crazy, but here we are. Daddy is a cook who's specialty is soup- which sounds weird... but the man can make some soup. :stir: Like this only nicer. I call him the soup nazi because he makes soup and he speaks with an accent, (he's from Eastern Europe). DH has never seen the famed Seinfeld episode which is just criminal IMO.

So i guess you start at the begining: when DH and I got engaged, I knew I wanted a Disney Wedding. He wasn't crazy about the idea, but wasn't opposed to it either. Just`pretty much along for the ride. My family threw a fit over it though. So I stupidly did what made everyone else happy and here we are. We are married which was the point I guess, but still....

So instead of getting married in WDW, we went for a quick 2 day trip the week before the wedding- which clearly wasn't long enough, and I started planning our Honeymoon in the car on the way home from this trip. We knew we would have to wait to take our Honeymoon, b/c DH family was traveling from the other side of the world to come to the wedding, so he wanted to spend time with them while they were here. His DM and DB came with us on this trip in March- which I thought would be great, b/c that is really a once in a lifetime trip for someone from the Czech Republic. DMiL was not that impressed. She didn't like the walking, or her control freaking future DiL. oh well, she liked IaSW.

FFwd to the present. I'm too excited to sleep :Pinkbounc !
It's 10pm, we are supposed to leave tomorrow at 6am; we are about a 5hr. drive from Orlando. This is a perfect distance- close enough where we can be there by lunch if we leave early, far enough where we can only go a handful of times a year. Which is quickly becomming the scenario now that I have found the DIS. I am planning our next trip in march- it will be our anniversary by then! :lmao:
Finding the DIS was a life changing experience i guess. I used to plan vacations- sure. Now I obsess. (like everyone else here) First we were going to stay at POR, w/ 6dayPH+ passes with dining. THen I was going to switch to Coronado Springs, b/c I saw the website of the guy who is in love with CSR- I can't remember his name now. Then someone else gave me the idea to switch our Tix to 10 nonexp.PH+ with dining, and use the leftover days for our next trip! (Thanks lady) So I changed to ASMo w/ the 10day tix- this was actually $2 cheaper, and now we have tix for our Mar. trip! pixiedust: But then I decided that ASMu was better for adults so we changed again!!!!
Now, I know all the AS resorts are the same except the bedspreads- but it makes me feel like I'm making progress to change my mind 600 times. Like I start over with a new vacation if its in a different place in the same place?!?
Am I making sense? Didn't think so. I won't even get into the agony of ADR's.
I have my trip plan ready. I wasted my time making touring plans for each day and ADR confirmations and useless facts and putting them all together in a planner for the trip. DH thinks I have a problem, but he doesn't put up a fight. Just goes along with whatever. He wasn't to keen on planning out our days, but I told him we would try it out first, and if it doesn't work we will do it his way. He knows that means we will do it my way anyway, b/c I will insist my plans are great no matter what, and he will pretend he thinks so too. See, teamwork. That's what marriage is all about. :bride: :groom:

Oh! I almost forgot our pixie dust story! Some of you may have seen that Disney had a special rate come out recently for Oct./Nov. WHen I saw this I thought it would be a long shot, b/c we were already 30 days from our arrival, but I called and asked if there was any way to be switched to the new rate. The CM just did it for me! POOF! pixiedust: No cancellation fee, no weird charges- so there was about $300 that came back to us before the trip. We wil use it to drink around the world :drinking1 :dancer:
that little dancer man looks shockingly like my DBiL
And one more thing before I try to sleep- Daddy brought Smoochi-face over to a friends house today, he will be staying there while we are gone. This is an aquiantance from work. We are friendly, but not best buds. We don't really socialize outside of work, but this person is wonderful and kind and loves dogs as much as I do and wanted to take Potter for the week so it worked out great. I had to work during the morning today and she had to work at night. So Daddy had to bring Poopy to her house, ( DH has never met her, but Potter has).
I see the petsitter at work when she comes in and she is all smiles. :teeth: Loves my dog, "oh he's so cute". Told me all about how he smelled this and played with that, etc. So everything is good. I told her i was relieved, b/c I had a sinking feeling he was going to be a bad dog. "No... no..no, everythings fine- he's fine"
I call DH on my way home from work and he said the first thing our beloved did was walk right into her house and pee on her (probably expensive) window treatments.
She just didnt want to make me feel bad. :guilty: So we wil see how much of a devil my angel can be.
Thats all for now- more when we get back! THanks for reading :surfweb:
