Good News: The Red Carpet can be watched on Entertainment Weekly's free YouTube channel (not YouTube TV.)
( ⬇️ See direct link in Post number 2 below to watch from the DIS.)

Also: it can be seen on Entertainment Weekly's Instagram page and Facebook page.

Bad news: The SAG Awards show (and their own version of a Pre-show) are being streamed only on Netflix by subscription. No other services or free links. So, those of us who do not have Netflix are out of luck. (Unless you do their free trial.)

The SAG Awards are being hosted by Kristen Bell.

Two-time Oscar winner Jane Fonda will receive the SAG Life Achievement Award presented by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Load up on munchies & drinks, wine & booze welcome. Including the Red Carpet, it can be 2 - 4 hours, depending on when you arrive & how long you stay! :drinking1 Drop in and out at any time. :)

START TIMES:

East Coast (EST):

The Red Carpet starts at 6PM (EST) on Entertainment Weekly's YouTube channel,
OR on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
Netflix's own "Pre-show" starts at 7PM.

The Award Show starts at 8PM (EST) on Netflix.

West Coast (PST):

The Red Carpet starts at 3PM (PST) on Entertainment Weekly's YouTube channel,
OR on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
Netflix's own "Pre-show" starts at 4PM.

The Award Show starts at 5PM (PST). on Netflix.

The OSCARS is on regular ABC NEXT week, so if you don't attend tonight for either the Red Carpet or the award show, hopefully we will all get together then.
:hyper2: :thumbsup2

This is a NO SPELLING POLICE THREAD!
The Spelling Police will be off duty and possibly slurring their own typing by the end of the evening. Typos allowed! :woohoo: :drinking: :drinking1

Let's have another fun evening! party: :jumping1: :rainbow: :welcome:

Thanks for the reminder. I’m not sure I’ll be able to watch but should be here next week for Oscars! One more movie to go!

Imzadi, I like that you do all these award shows and the effort (by you) that goes into all these award shows but I don't watch the SAG awards but soooo look forward to your Oscar thread. :goodvibes

I have Netflix but can only get it on my laptop in the room I watch TV in. The big TV in the family room can get Netflix but my husband will NOT watch an awards show. I'll try and watch and hopefully the streaming will be OK.

Netflix red carpet also just started.

EW interviewing Cynthia Erivo. Not sure I really love her dress. It's interesting with the woven aspect, but it's feeling a little scarecrow chic.

Thanks for the invite ! I’m more of a lurker these days but will check in in the thread to read everyone’s comments

I just made it home from work. Tuning into the Red Carpet now. popcorn::

Netflix Jane Fonda interview super uncomfortable. Interesting beaded dress. It almost feels like mustaches on pink. EW has her now... a little less awkward.

Quinta Brunson's dress is pretty. Jodie Foster understated. Enjoyed getting to see Brett Goldstein.

I was not a fan of Jane's dress either. She's finally letting her hair go gray.

Really like Kristin Bell's red carpet dress!!! Sparkly! Beaded! Colorful! Patterned! 😍

Just saw Nicole Kidman in super baggy clothes from the '80s(?) NOT a fan. There is a reason those styles were all left behind in those decades.

I turned it back on and just turned the sound down. I want to see the dresses. Demi's top looks off and very uncomfortable to me.

Danielle Detwiler's dress is interesting. I love the art of it. Obviously, it is not a practical dress but it's so visually interesting. It kind of reminds me of something from the Jetsons.

Yeah, I didn't like the leather. I couldn't get a good look, but the structure around the hips seemed odd as well.

I thought her dress classy. Black leather top, fabric flounce to bottom. I may be partial though, because dh and I motorcycle toured with a group of Colorcade Canadians.

The closest we got to you in Buffalo Nancy was Lake George. Gorgeous!

I had to turn off Netflix. Who ever that is doing the interviews is horrible! What stupid questions.

I'm watching the EW Red Carpet, and their interviewers are bad too. :headache:They are interviewing the men now and taking way too long. Come on! We want to see some dresses!
