Andrea, what are your dates? Do you mean you arrive at DL on Tuesday, or leave (to go back home) Tuesday? I thought your family was leaving on... Saturday? I bet you mean arriving Tues, then.

We love lunch at CC also. The grown-up sandwiches are yummy, the kids meals are cute (little bitty hotdogs or hamburgers, smiley face fries)

I think the item I get is a turkey-bacon croissant, very yummy. DH loved the (club?) sandwich on pretzel bread, I think it is...

That's the sandwich I like too! The Club.

There is an argument about DCA vs DL corndogs.. I've heard the DL ones taste better, DCA ones are larger.. but I have no comparison as I have never tried the DCA ones.

The DL ones are served from a red cart/wagon on Main Street It's between the Plaza Inn and the photo place.

What do you mean Megan might not do the VIP tour. :sad2:

Me thinks I need to catch up around here, but I just don't have the time.
Things seem to change by the minute around here, especially related to this trip! I've given up trying to keep track, I just keep asking, "Now when are you going to be there? What time is this?" :rotfl:

OOF! :crazy2:

Something smells unbelievably bad! Must do a little reconnaissance on DS3's behind... BRB...

I'm not totally against raising a kid but I do not want to have one. Maybe someday I'll adopt one. For now I just get to spoil my neices.

Are the corn dogs the one from DCA? I like their cheese on a stick. Mmm!
It's a corndog cart right by Plaza Inn. Near the First Aid and Camera store on Main Street.

(My stomach is growling right now.) :rolleyes1

Well the ones at DL are huge!! How can the ones at DCA be bigger yet? :lmao:

And Bernice since you are on, I have to tell you that Huntington Beach is our favorite SO Cal Beach. We love all of the stuff going on there. If you haven't tried them yet, go to one of the snack booths by the pier and order the Cheese strips. They have been serving them since I was in HS. The first chips and salsa I had ever had. The sauce is kind of on the sweet side, but good. They are all over down there. And make sure the chips are warm. Yummy!!!! Then go up the street from the pier and try the Sugar Shack for breakfast or lunch. Super food, and it's where all the locals go. :goodvibes

cool, I read there is a Sugar Shack in San Celemente too.. that's where we will be camping with the inlaws. I read of Pedro's Tacos being the cool place to go there -- cheap too.. so we will have to hit that up and Sugar Shack for breakfast. :yay:

We're trying to give them a view of how each beach is a little different. Starting at Huntington (busy, popular, younger crowd, industrial area right next door) and make our way down to San Clemente( quiet, surfer beach, natural surroundings, and a nuclear plant??)

ewwwwwwwwww, good luck with that.

I walked into my boys' bedroom today, but i bet the behind smell is worse than lingering boys stink.. you win.

We went to Pismo Beach once. We camped amid cowpies, and that's where I first learned to drive (and crash) a motorcycle... :rotfl:

DH got one last night. He came downstairs specifically to tell me, "We have got to get that boy potty-trained!" :crazy2:

Yeah, no [POOP], Sherlock!

I used to camp at San Clemente alot as a kid. The beach is beautiful, but it is a long walk under the ralilroad track to the beach. But still fun. We just stopped at the Sugar Shack in San Clememte on our way back from San Diego a few weeks ago. And the nuclear plant is at San Onofre State park.
San Elio State Park is the closest one next to the water in So CAL. I should say the nicest one with showers and all. :rolleyes1

Do you guys watch Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network? The host, Guy Fieri, is doing a cooking demonstration at the Food and Wine Festival on Saturday the 26th. It's from 4-5pm.

yeah dont remind me *sniff*

Yeah, that part is funny isnt it. :lmao:

I felt better typing it out. I didnt tell the preschool teacher I didnt have his car seat although he might! :scared1: She was probably thinking I was overly sensitive to a little fender bender.

Speaking of I need to head back and get the pumpkin. The thought of CPS in my imagination coming to take him away from me for good has brought a whole new level of love! :lmao:

I'll be back later!

poor shawna.... its gonna be ok

I'm thinking I should make a few more; OH! I am going to make one for RFC, of course, that was the whole point of getting the Safari Club membership last week. :rotfl:

you better get on it because your cutting it pretty close and they may not have anymore PS's you might have to do a walk in...

Peer pressure here!! I'm the head of that department, didn't you know that?

Yeah! i guess I need to try it for lunch too. I just want to make sure I get my corndog, and bacon wrapped asparaus in there too somewhere. :rolleyes1

we have to eat there at lunch...need the soupppppppppp...but dont you worry...we will get that corndog and bacon wrapped asparagus...those are 2 of my favorites:lovestruc

we used to love eating corndogs! But I've never had one from DL. Why are they so good? Are they bigger? Are they using some special batter or something?

they are the most amazing corn dogs i have ever eaten...they are HUGE

The other parks were completely full -- it's on a Friday night.

I was teasing about the nuclear plant.. we drive right by there to pick/drop my DN at base. (Basilone Road) I still find it odd to have something potentially dangerous to the environemnt parked right next to the ocean. But we have one in MN that is right next to a river, and the outflow created a haven for wintering birds.. no ice.

As if to add insult to injury, right? :rotfl2:

?

Right!! That's the part that would have me in tears~~:lmao:

Andrea

WOW way to make me feel better guys! GEESH! :sad1: :rotfl2:

How about macaroni and cheese??

:rolleyes1

I have been known to make blackened macaroni and cheese before. :rolleyes1

Well the ones at DL are huge!! How can the ones at DCA be bigger yet? :lmao:

I would think they are the same and people are crazy thinking they taste different or are different sizes.

I was going to add for Alex, with the Safari card you don't have to worry too mcuh about reservations. Walk right up, flash the card and they will seat you quickly-- minimal wait. They guarentee reservations for members too. :goodvibes

I just got an email form them.. $10 off meal (min $25) or a free

voooooooooooooolllllllllllcaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnoooooooooo

Where do you get bacon wrapped asparagus? That sounds yummy. Well, it could either be really good or really bad. By the fact that you want it again I'm going with yummy.
