OK, ressies are made for our camping experience this weekend http://www.accuweather.com/forecast-weekends.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=1&zipChg=1&zipcode=19930&metric=0. I went over to Lowe's real quick at lunch to look for a hatchet - they had 25 hammers and only 1 hatchet to pick from. So I called DH to go buy one somewhere else. I also bought a short 6' hose & a cheapy nozzle...do we NEED a hose? Probably not...but I was thinkin' if we didn't have a hose we might make a big mud puddle that could potentially run under the tent while we're trying to clean the sand off of stuff & I thought a hose would be easier than trying to cram stuff under a spigot...you KNOW that I am thinking about every single minute of this trip and considering every possible scenario! The thing is that we'll probably break down the tent & stuff on Sun. AM 'cuz we have to check out & then it will be really nice so we'll probably stay at the beach somewhere for the day - then end up driving 3 or 4 hours home all sticky & yucky. I mean there's probably a place to rinse off on the boardwalk - but it's not the same as a real shower. But so Oh Well, right?!

Now, comes the MOST important decision - I have to decide what to pack as my beverage of choice for the weekend! Something that can go in one of those big red plastic cups maybe....hummmm.... The gallon jug of Captain is a bit hard to conceal on the beach....do I pour him into some tupperware for traveling? I could do like Mike's Hard Lemmonade or Smirnoff Ice's or Corona Lights....or all of the above?!

You are truly living up to you name. I hate to tell you but you might not be cut out for camping. I think that getting you and your stuff dirty is supposed to be expected. Buying a hose to clean your gear before you come home is classic. I can't wait to hear how you prepare for cruise packing. I will be able to bring a whole lot less stuff because I know that you will be bringing everything. LOL!

I know - I'm a little OCD...but I AM AN ORIGINAL!! Vintage! Classic also works! Cruise packing....hummm.....did I mention that I iron EVERYTHING before I go somewhere so that I don't have to iron ON vacation?! AND I pack everything folded in tissue paper to help prevent wrinkles?! Yeah...Packing for a "real" vacation starts at least 2 weeks out. And I take everything I want to pack out of circulation (once it's washed it goes to the spare room to await its turn to be ironed & can't be worn again)!! These latest TSA rules are a bit of a problem now! I really depend on my carry-on stuff! Sigh. For the last cruise we also spent 3 days at DL so we each had our own large checked suitcase + I had a rolling garment bag + 2 carry-ons! Oh, one more thing that I guess is a little weird...I don't unpack on vacation & move our "stuff" into a drawer that someone elses "stuff" was in. Gives me the willies....kinda like sharing a comb with a stranger.....no thanks! So you can't get thru our room on vacation 'cuz I refuse to put the suitcases away...I just can't help it!!

The Captain & GA huh?! Hummm. He's always been a good friend of mine with Diet Coke...never had him with anything else... I actually stopped this eve. & got some Corona Light & some Smirnoff Ice's & some hard iced teas....I like an assortment to choose from! "Have bottle opener will travel"!

OK, next subject... RJ & Beano - I heard a commercial on the radio this morning for a funeral home (for the first time ever) and of course I had to think of you guys! It just struck me as a bit odd. I didn't realize there was a need to advertise on the radio!? I always thought word of mouth or the phone book was good. Is there a lot of competition these days? But it went something like Blah, blah funeral home with locations in Blah blah and Blah blah and prices starting at only Blah blah"...a little weird I must say. And it was narrated by the funeral director - a woman...but it just made me wonder if this is a new trend or something - I mean, advertising / commercials?! Maybe it's just a new thing in our area?!

OK, so Cheri - are you gonna make it?! How are you feeling? Are your meds working yet?

How 'bout you TRM?! Am I gonna come back from camping and hear that you've had little Brenna Lynn Erin Ainsley McDougald? (Is that right? McDougald?) (Sorry, been hangin' out with my friend, the Captain all evening.....memory is a bit off.... )

Well, my PLAN was to work thru lunch for a couple of days & then leave work by 3:30 on Fri. so I can go get ice, pick up DS from camp, go home & change, feed the pussycats & then hopefully hit the road by 4:30 - since we'll be heading out during a Fri. rush hour (I'm planning to load the truck up tonite except for the cooler). So, at my job we're all assigned to another person to cover for them when they're out - and my person that I cover is out today (her daughter's having a baby - went early this am) and I'm not for sure if she'll be back to work by tomorrow or not - depends how the delivery goes!! Meanwhile, she has afternoon work that starts at 3:00 everyday and there will likely be a lot of orders 'cuz there's a price increase starting next week - so there's usually a rush of orders prior to a price increase....so now I have to wait & see if she's here tomorrow or not - I may not get to leave early & in fact may have to stay LATE to finish!! I really wanted to get down there & get the tent up before dark! AND now they're calling for a 50% chance of afternoon / evening showers....won't this just be our luck?! Get down there LATE, in the DARK and the RAIN!? DH will be so-o unhappy with me!! I'm just too anal for this not to go according to plan!! Cross your fingers that my co-worker's back tomorrow!!!!

Speaking of having a baby....what's up TRM?! Was today your dr. appt.?! Any news?!
