Congratulations:woohoo: I got 1 more payment:rolleyes1

I was just so happy to get it all done before our dollar tanked out again. We managed to get it pretty much at par, which is win-win for me. It was just too bad we couldn't pay it off while our dollar was stronger, we'd have saved more.

Speaking of previews...anyone else see the Muppets trailer.

:lmao: I can't believe we had that in the budget. :lmao:

Cool Muppet OWNAGE!!!

Before the big reveal, I sat there thinking *** kind of movie is this??:rotfl2:

Ahhh...mine wasn't that bad either. Though I called her Harriett (real name Sharon)...but she reminded me of Harriett Olsen from "Little House"

FIL's nick name is "Chuckey" after the psycho killer doll.

Better Harriett then Nellie Olsen (or Merlin Olsen)

Funny story...

Recent Thunderstorm somehow took out our corcles telephone base at the house...so I got a new 2 phone set...after charging them all day yesterday...I was putting the 2nd phone in our "play/office/catchall" room...and I really didn't feel like unplugging the old 2nd phone and plugging in the new one...DS16 was walking past the door...I said

"Hey Boy...com'er."
"What"
"Bend down the and unplug that...and plug in this"
While doing what I asked...he said..."you feeling too old to get down here"
"No...just didn't feel like doing it...and you were handy."

:lmao:

:cool1: Congrats! :cool1:

Very lucky, you are!

:darth::yoda::chewy:

In case you guys didn't know, today is the 34th Anniversary of Star Wars, which premiered on May 25, 1977. I still remember seeing that in the theater and being blown away by the awesomeness of George Lucas' vision.

I'm really going to raise some eyebrows now. I saw Star Wars that summer at a Drive-in theatre on Route 3 in Rutherford, New Jersey. I was 7 years old and I still remember it.

Has anyone seen the gnomeo and Juliet? Wasn't at all impressed!!:confused3

I agree it was kind of Meh, but the English Lit Major in me got a kick out of all the hidden Shakespeare references.

When I first met my MIL, I was convinced she was Kathy Bates, because she looked exactly like she did in "Misery". I still won't go around her if she's got a sledgehammer or knive in hand.....

My grandpa took my brother and I to it that summer. I was 6 when it was first released (turned 7 later in the year). I remember sitting there in amazement at many of the different things on screen, and getting very nervous, scared almost, by the trash compactor scene.

Then later saw every other film in the series within days or weeks of the opening. When Return of the Jedi came out, we went pretty much as an unsanctioned school event and bought out the entire theatre at the mall (it was a small school - but practically everyone went that night to the same showing).

I have the original, unaltered version on VHS, plus the altered versions on VHS and DVD. I love popping them in from time to time and heading to that galaxy far, far away.

So, how do you think the Mavs will match up with the Heat?

I think it will be a heck of a series. Looking forward to the possibility. The storylines should be great.

Woah, I must be feeling it right now. It's a Small World just came up on my iPod shuffle, and I didn't want to change it!

BTW: I am a travel agent. :rotfl2:

It is definitely by number of NIGHTS you stay.

Now further clearification. You said you will buy from UT for the remaining 8 days. Do you intend to go 9 days?
1 from he QSDP ticket and 8 from UT?

If so BAD IDEA. You can use all 9 from the UT ticket and only pay $5.00 more to go from 8 days to 9 days, instead of using your 1 day at $82.00.

In this case you DO NOT USE your 1 day ticket at all, and save it (even on the room card). It will NEVER expire, and is fully upgradeable in the future.

Excellent point! :worship:

First I've seen of this, but I see the DADS are all over it.

I put out the motion to bring it into our NEW home.

A DISDADS Caption Contest Thread.

Maybe someone with experience in that thread can start it here?

Second the motion anyone?

I say we start a new one here.

That's great:rotfl:, good work on the boy there...funny they never list the "play/office/catchall" as a room when you buy the place, but it just turns out that way.

Yup, 8 when I saw it, we waited until the fall, for some reason:confused3 and there were still long lines to get in.

Does anyone remember when they showed it on TV for the first time? It was the uncut version with scenes where Luke and Biggs talk on Tatoonie and another scene where Luke is looking up into the sky and observing the battle going on above the planet? Was that version ever released??

Same answer...

We have several non-DDC members in that thread/contest to move it here...plus it has help to recruited some good members.

Your welcome to start one...just make sure you put Disdads somewhere in the title...or we will be invaded by non-dads.

Technically it was called BR #4 on the floorplans.

No...no I don't. Do not know if it was ever released.

I do know what I'll be looking up for the next few minutes.

Why doesn't someone start a "Disdads where in the world or land or sea" game here on the DDC forum.

Me either. :sad2: Good news is that I took DD13 and DD4 to see it at the theater here that plays the movies after they have left the mainstream theaters for much cheaper ($1 before 6p.m.). Bad news is that is cost me more than I had expected since I didn't pay attention to the fact that it was being shown in 3D. $12 for the three of us instead of $3.

I don't get the whole 3D craze that all the movie production companies are pushing. For me it didn't add anything except for having to wear those stupid glasses the whole time. :headache:

Its interesting now with the 3D tv's coming out, I assume we'll see more movies being released in 3D... It just gives the studios the ability to charge more money to see the films...

Well they do need to cover the cost of all those glasses being taken home to watch 3D TV's. :rolleyes1

Are you alive to me yet?

3D TV's...I forsee a future similar to "The Jerk" and everyone will be cross-eyed. :lmao:

The 3D leaves me a bit flat as well. It’s cool when well used, but annoying when over used and down right criminal when it acts as a substitute for a decent story line or any kind of engaging dialogue.

As for the Gnome movie, they’ll be showing that one on the Dream in June (along with POTC4 and Cars2, so I’ll catch all of ‘em there.

There’s a similar thread on the photography board that I like to follow. If you start another one here, I’d certainly follow along.

BTW: This likes like a walkway in one of the resorts. CBR perchance?
