It's funny, a fraternity brother of mine (I never met him - he graduated 10 years after I did) is a very famous Phillies fan. He caught a foul ball and gave it to his 3 year old daughter who promptly threw it back on the field. It was a HUGELY famous video.

ClearScreen

I saw that happen live! The TV broadcast showed the replay endlessly. It was just as funny the 27th time.

It could be worse. You could be the Cubs and spend, spend, spend and still not win anything.

You could have just ended that statement with "You could be the Cubs"
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

It's sad - the Cubs don't even open until tomorrow, and I'm already in the "next year is our year" mode. :sad2:

*Sigh* Unfortunately I'm with Barry on this one. It's hard to smack talk when you cheer for the Cubs...

Who knows, maybe Soriano will learn to catch a ball without that little hop thingy. Drives me bananas when I watch him do that as I'm trying to teach my girls how to properly field a fly ball.

As for the golfing discussion a few pages back, my Dad has a couple of doozies where he has fallen out of a golf cart not once but twice now. The best was one time he had hit a second ball and was going to pick up the first, leaned out of the cart to grab on the go and rolled out. The best part was this was on a slight hill and the cart stopped, and rolled backwards over his leg and this was followed by him chasing the cart down the hill. :rotfl2: Seriously, I don't think that National Lampoon could have scripted it better.

Looking thru the Febuary issue of our company news paper "Siemens World"...found this article and scanned it...though y'all might like it.

My daughters are life-long fans, but they were born in 2004 and 2007. I hope you won't hold that against them :lmao:

Which, by the way, means the Yankees should be okay this year. The Sox only seem to win in the years when my children come into the world.

Hey, it's all good. He just happened to be 22 or 23 in 2004. :rotfl2::lmao: He has since been in denial that he used to be a Dodgers fan until mid-October 2004 and claims he was always a Red Sox fan.:confused3

I never saw him wear a Sox hat before that fall, but he had a Dodgers hat he used to wear, and Sandy Koufax was his all time favorite player. Now he claims his all time favorite player is Carl Yastrzemski.:confused3 His wife has a good sense of humor though, she named their dog Seven based on the Seinfeld episode just because she knew it had something to do with the Yankees.:lmao::rotfl2:

This was my worst incident on a golf course. I was in the passenger seat when we lost it and made the downhill death slide.

Glad to see that Aaron Boone is in the TV booth for the Yankees game!

They have way too many heros.:sad2:

Let's see what did the Reds get back when they shipped him out???? Hmm...

That's nothing...at one work-related tournament my partner managed to plow a ball right across a pond straight into the head of a goose, I mean you heard the crack from 40 ft or so. Stone cold dead. Worse part is everyone just assumed it was me!

Wow. Birdies are dime a dozen, eagles are a little less frequent.. but a goose - now THAT is impressive! I have never had one of those (yet.) :rotfl2:

My dad once hit a golfball into the back of a moving Jeep with the top down.:scared1: You could hear the ball bouncing around in it.:lmao::rotfl2:

Now, if he 'called the shot' before he hit it... very impressive!
:lmao:

Here's your one and only reminder, guys. Today, 4:00 eastern, Dr Oz show.
My wife, Rebecca will be on the segment about frozen foods. Here's hoping she doesn't embarrass me...popcorn::
