Good Morning everyone ! !

So we went and saw Rio on Friday, and I said I would tell everyone how it was. I would give it a B-. It was cute, but many of the funny parts were in the previews. Overall not too bad.

Woo Hoo This one is mine.

Same, went to see it yesterday, :thumbsup2 DD liked it enough to want to play birds the rest of the day. Went ahead and got my tickets for Fridays show of Disney's African Cats. Going to take the DD who loves all things animals.

High score of the week - Duck Martin - 338 pts
  • Carl Edwards
  • Ryan Newman
  • Clint Bowyer
  • Paul Menard

So Nate, is your strategy to keep this lineup in place until they no longer get the high score, or you run out of starts for them.... or did you just forget to set your lineup this week???

All part of the plan... :rolleyes1

If the plan is to forget about setting your line-up.

Time for the weekly NASCAR Fantasy League update. This week's race took place on the high speed, high banked track in Talladega, AL. It was a wild race with the cars coming to the line on the last lap 4 wide in a finish that was decided by hundredths of a second. Obviously a race like that one can be capable of shaking up the standings a little bit. That was the case this week with some movement in the middle of the pack, but trennr held strong to the lead by posting the weekly high for the second race in a row. Next week will be an off week for the Easter holiday, then they'll be in Richmond, VA.

Standings after week 8, Aarons 499
  1. Duck Martin 1970
  2. Mater's Racers 1867
  3. birdslightyear 1837
  4. Test Track Dummies 1810
  5. Jungle Cruisers 1762
  6. Pride Rock Motorsports 1760
  7. DF Racing 1719
  8. $6 Disney Racers 1692
  9. Taxidermy Tech 1689
  10. Rolling Thunder Racing 1665

Anyone get hit by the crazy weather? We didn't in NH, but I know alot of folks down in the North Carolina area that saw tornados. :scared1:

scary stuff.

Happy Monday gentlemen :thumbsup2

Hello nemesis theduck.

It's almost noon and all my work is done for the day. I can't check Disboards on work network, but Windowsphone is doing fine. I brought my lunch (budget) so I'll eat and go home. It is a good Monday.

Woke to almost an inch of snow. Forecast called for 1-4, so I guess it could have been worse. No matter - come Friday morning we'll be stepping off the plane in Houston into 88° weather, then on Wednesday, it's to Disney World!

Have a great trip. I may have missed it, are you doing a cruise from Houston? A friend of DW told her they have a 4 night/ 5 day Disney cruise for 4 people (one <3)on Verandah level for $2200. Does that price sound right?

No, the Houston portion of the trip is to visit family for Easter. The WDW "add on" was DW's idea.
Disney isn't starting their Houston/Gavleston sailings until September of 2012.

So okay - this whole phenomenon of "ownage" began with our good friend Fed several threads ago. What exactly is it that is so special about getting that first post on a page? :confused3 Pardon the lack of clarity on my part here... and my fun dousing, but what's the big deal, really, about one stinking little post at the top of the page? Hmmm? I think Steve had a good idea many moons ago (or at least about 250-300 pages ago in the last thread... I don't think anyone "owns" a page until they've been able to completely fill up one entire page by themselves. Just sayin'... and no, I haven't been successful at that myself... so no need to think I have.

So there you go... I've laid down the gauntlet... who's willing to take up the challenge and make it happen? :cool2: I'm curious to see who it will be... :rolleyes1

Attention Nemisis!!!

Please report to page 208...Please report to page 208.

Wow! This is amazing! One small suggestion, is the font of the rides too big compared to the rest of the symbols? Again, awesome!

The ride name fonts are the same size as the original "SW", "NE" designations. The only one that looks weird is BTMRR - any thoughts for a replacement?

To be geograpically correct...the HS & AK icons should swap locations.

Which means...you would need a Tree vs the Animal line...since that wouldn't fit in the "West" location.

Should maybe give props to DTD, TL, and BB as well? :confused3

scary stuff.

For some reason I missed this post.

We cancelled Miracle League at noon on Saturday because we knew the storms were coming. We went to the store, got what we needed, then headed home. Where we live we saw the wind and rain but didn't feel the effects - one of the benefits of living in a new house, I suppose. Near our church there were houses that were totally destroyed - one had a 40' tree uprooted and tossed into it. There were downed powerlines and another house that was dragged 8' off of its foundation. One guy at my work took the day off to meet with insurance adjusters who are descending on our city enmasse because his roof is pretty mangled and he's lost some siding. He lives a few blocks from the trailer park in Raleigh where 3 people were killed.

We had no power at church on Sunday because power was out and, from my understanding, it still is in that area. We have some family and friends in Sanford that we're still waiting to hear from. Odds are that they're fine but still working to get power restored.

I know that there are some other DISDad's from NC and I'd like to hear from them.

It's good to know that in these situations that God is still in control, even in what we may see as a bad result, He will use for our good and His glory.
