I guess it has become obvious that I don't pay much attention to my surroundings on here and never noticed that a new page starts every 15 posts
Thanks for pointing that out guys...now I will be armed and ready to owna few pages myself!
As far as the kids and rudeness....It is not just the teenagers. We have a whole new generation of workers coming out of college who think that they are owed the world just because. They come in to a workplace and want the same amount of perks that it takes more seasoned employees many years to obtain. I think the problem is this...(and I am probably guilty of it to an extent also) we give our kids everything they want. They have never had to work for anything a lot of times. Very unlike how I grew up. We knew that if we had something we better take care of it because if it was broken or lost there would not be a replacement. If I misbehaved I got the belt right across my backside. After we had kids I did not want them to have to feel affraid every time they do something wrong like I did. So, I have not been as hard on my kids as my Dad was. However, I do make sure that they are polite to others, that they put their hands over their heart for the national anthem, and do unto others as they would have them do unto them. I think you can take discipline to the extremes ...meaning you either do nothing at all or are almost abusive. We are constantly getting comments from other about how well mannered out kids are. That makes me proud to hear that sort of thing, but it is sad that people so rarely see that sort of behavior that the feel compelled to comment on it. It should be the norm and not the exception.
There I feel better now LOL
