Anyway, with the early checkin, what is involved with that? What does it do for me when I arrive at the resort? Also, we have one minor requirement that we be on the 1st floor for my wife's wheelchair - it's a lot easier when you're doing it all day long. I don't think that'll be something I need to specify in a fax to them 3-days prior as it's a very simple request, but I was curious if I could ask for that in the early checkin.

If there are no rooms available when you check-in then they can store your luggage if needed...but can print your KTTK and you can prceed to the parks or whatever you want...

Also it doesn't hurt to request the ground floor room at any/every time you communicate with them either. You might also request a Wheelchair accessable room...if available.:thumbsup2

I've got an unrelated question about Disney Resorts. Unrelated because it's kind of on topic. :)

I believe there is a "special requests" box during on-line check in where you can request the 1st floor room. Make sure you say that is for a wheel chair, so they know you're not just some lazy schlub. But as Nate said, it doesn't hurt to mention it each and every time you talk to them.
As far as benefits go, it can save you some time waiting in line. You don't have to mingle with the unwashed masses that didn't check in online (there is a special area of the front desk for those that did online check in)

No misquote needed!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

No, but way to take something way the beverly out of context... :rotfl2:

I know we're not supposed to discuss politics on the DIS, but seeing all these political ads on TV right now this just seems like one of them.

All the rooms are "wheelchair accessable" now, but I'm the super-picky jerk who 'requires' a 1st floor room. I know, I know... my standards are high and my demands are a heavy burden, but it's worth it in the end. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info! That's going to be a big help!

Sorry, I couldn't resist!

There is another forum that I visit where everything gets misquoted unless you write this after (no misquote). It is not a 'family' site so you can only imagine what goes on there.... :rolleyes1

Sweeeeeet... I, the good father, was able to explain to my daughter the meaning of the term "plebeian" this weekend. Good to see I can have a follow-up object lesson to look forward to!

The online check-in is supposed to save time when you arrive at the resort to check in, but it really depends on how many cast members they actually have assigned to each line.

I heard you were going to eat babies and send all of our money to China. Is that true?

Just had to mention this cause I know you guys would understand. I successfully took the first 25 seconds of the song "Circle of Life" from the Lion King and transformed it into my ringtone for the my phone. Very nice for those quiet times in the office. :lmao: PM me if you want me to text it to you :thumbsup2

I'd need to change it into iPhone format. Though I'd like the one from Lion King 1.5 :lmao:

PEANUT BUTTERY BEVERLY!!!
Looks like I'm going to Costco and picking up a new TV for the Great Room about a year ahead of schedule. Completely out of the blue, one of the video inputs on the 10-year-old JVC just up and died. And I don't have a spare input.
