Well, since the length of time it takes you to post a TR seems to be a running joke around here I figured I'd check it out. My goal is to try to read some TR's from the DIS dad's to get to know the community a bit better, even if they're so old they aren't even active threads anymore

Well guys, I'll do my part to slow the thread down. In 45 minutes I am out the door and on my way up north. (That's where Wisconsinites go on vacation when they can't get to Disney Wolrd - "up north".) I barely get cell reception at my sister's cabin, and that's just fine with me.
The cabin is about 30 minutes from Little Bohemia Lodge - the site of the infamous shoot out between the FBI and John Dillinger's gang. The scenes in "Public Enemies" were shot there, after the movie crew restored it to what it looked like in the 1930's. If everything goes as planned, we'll be having dinner there on Friday night.

I've built about six of them here in Southern Ontario. The ones I have done were about 14 ft by 20 ft using 2"X8" boards (didn't use a kit). The important thing I've learned is make sure there is a plastic liner down (I just used inexpensive drop sheets taped together) before the first snowfall. That way once you get a good sheet of ice, you won't lose it if the weather warms up since the plastic traps all of the water and once it cools down again it just refreezes.
The test would be hilarious.
I guess its starting to break even since he is getting his crabs & supplies for free now

chill, you made till your jr year. i got taken out in 4th grade. mr. smarty pants, you can go over and kneel in front of the virgin mary statue. ther i go, sloppin through the snow into the church and there i kneel. next day the sister (sister mary) so mr. zerfass, what did you learn yesterday? my reply, "nothin, you made me kneel in front of that statue all day". back over i go. she hated me!!!! went to public school for sixth grade and never looked back.

He now has 5 crabs, since Blue Shark, & Big Bird have already came in 1st at the one race and already have there place in the year end finals 8 crabs total, he holds 2 spots already
Next Weds. we are going to the Biggie of races in Ocean City NJ, taking Blue Shark & Big Bird should be interesting, also falls on DS 5th B-day

you are just about to win $10,000 on AFV. I had a "Harrryyy" poster that I framed and gave to my older brother for Christmas a few years ago it was kept in a tube and was in mint condition. I thought about trying to track down your dad to see if he would sign it. That is one of my favorite pieces of memorabilia ever.
I think he was wearing a Rochester Americans jersey and he looked mean.
