Police: Robbers Called Bank To Get Money Ready
Man, Teen Arrested At Bank

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield police said even they were surprised by the actions of these criminals: two would-be robbers called a bank ahead of time to get the money ready and were arrested at the scene.
Fairfield police said they arrested Albert Bailey, 27, and an unidentified 16-year-old boy on robbery and threatening charges Tuesday afternoon at the People's United Bank branch on Stratfield Road.

Sgt. James Perez said the two Bridgeport residents called the bank and told a worker to get a bag of money ready. Perez said they showed up at the bank 10 minutes later, but police had been notified and arrested the suspects in the parking lot.

Perez told the Connecticut Post he classifies the suspects as "not too bright."
It's not clear if Bailey and the teen have lawyers.

Here's your sign :teacher:

Tell me about it. Over 2 hours with out a post? The mod's must be scratching their heads wondering why their servers are running so much better and their bandwidth isn't all clogged up! :surfweb:

Lunch break, lunch break!

I can't find any other reason why that might happen - other than maybe sleep. :confused3

Wow... between all the TR's and this thread, I might get some work done today..... :beach:

In our fast paced society, we do what we have to to keep things running on schedule. It's like call ahead seating at a restaurant. It would actually be a smart idea if it weren't so incredibly stupid.

Perez told the Connecticut Post he classifies the suspects as "not too bright."

Please Please PLEASE let these two represent themselves and stream it live over the Internet!

Never underestimate the power of the Dis. Leukemia tests were negative!!!!!!!!!! It is something called ITP, it's rare and from what we know there are diferent levels and different treatments, the first treatment didn't work so they will be trying other ways to treat it. I don't know anything about ITP, but have been assured that it is treatable. Thank you guys for the prayers, it worked!!!!!

This is great news!!

You know, we haven't heard from our overseas reporter in quite a while. :confused3

Lawson - are you lurking around here?

I've really gotta quit reading this site once a week. I spend four hours laughing from this thread and the TRs and am too exhausted to post.

Ya where are you buddy.....I could use a good mushy peas recipe.:thumbsup2

Mushy peas? :crazy2:

I'd advertise the fish and chips more at your restaurant. :thumbsup2

Well, I'm glad we're amusing you! Sometimes I wonder if we're the only ones laughing at our own jokes. Not that I have a problem with that.

As I was bugging Daddy-O to sell Dole Whips at his restaurant, I started doing a little Googling about the product. You can get a consumer level soft serve machine for $87
http://www.cookware.com/asp/show_detail.asp?sku=CUI1032

And a bag of Dole Pineapple soft serve for $21.31
http://www.precisionfoodsstore.com/dole.html

The bad (or is it good?) thing about this is that it makes 2 gallons of ice cream.

Father's day is only 3 months away! Time to start dropping some hints to the family...:cool1:

I like it! I wonder if they'd actually pick up on the hinting or not...it's sure worth a try!

I got it and use it!:thumbsup2 Got this machine 2 yrs ago for Christmas.I am a cooking gadget man.You will not be able to make 2 gals with this machine as it wont hold that much.Time in between making ice cream are also limited because you have to freeze bowl for so many hrs before use.I want to get a spare bowl for it so I can have it ready and be able to make more batches faster.Having 5 kids you need lots! now that I see the link for the dole whip I will have to buy!!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Dole whips at the Finsels this summer!!:thumbsup2

ps It is supposed to mix in sprinkles ,mini chips ect as your dispense the ice cream ,but it make a mess lol they fall all over the place if the kids do it.

Oscar, glad to see that things are looking up for your niece. My sister has ITP as well and she just had her spleen removed (she's 32) but is doing well. I'm not sure what all the treatments that she went through but just some positive thoughts that she lived with her condition for a long time before it came to the spleen removal. I'm sure that the docs will find the right balance for your niece.
:wizard:

The steroid mixture seems to be working, they are sending her home today. Cracking open a Guiness in celebration....Woo hoo....The only drawback we see is not knowing what will happen once we try to ween her off the steroid, I don't know much about steroids but I don't think it's something that is meant to be taken constantly, (I'll have to give *Barry* *Bonds* a call to confirm). Once she's strong enough, we're taking her with us to Disney (she hasn't been there yet). Be prepared, I may hit you up for information on this in the near future. Glad to see your sister is doing well with it.

You might want to contact WDW directly to find out.:wizard:

Thanks, I called last night, they had no information whatsoever, just told me to keep calling. Maybe for our xmas trip.

I just found this club and I am ready to join! I am a father of 2 (as my name inmplies) and I am a bigger kid then both of them put together when it comes to Disney... My wife and I went on our honeymoon in 2002 to DL, and then took the family to WDW in 2004, 2008, and 2009... We decided it is time for the adults to be the kids and we are going on an adults only trip this Nov/Dec... That's right, we are leaving the kids at home so we can be kids :thumbsup2 I am really into photography, and we have never been around christmas time, so this should be fun...

Gee, I'd be happy with an 'adults only' weekend.....mind out of the gutter guys....

The Dis Dad Dec thread is a group of Dis dads going in Dec.Right now I think there is like 9 guys with families of course going.
Dis Dad in Dec- Let The Party Bus Roll

Dang, will miss this by only a couple of weeks. I'll have to plan better next time...

and on a final note, I finally figured out this multi-quote business, go oscar, go oscar, it's your birthday, go oscar.....sorry....I feel accomplished. Now, to figure out this ticker thing....

As far a Dis Dad's Logos, we had a few ideas. Don has posted links to them in post #2 of this thread. If anyone has mad Photoshop skilz, feel free to tweak any existing logo or come up with your own and share it. Our original plan was to order nice custom embroidered shirts, hats, etc from threadsmith.com. However, they shut down in January "for a few short months". (Turns out their parent company was bought out and they are merging their systems with the new owner). Hopefully they will be open soon or we can find a similar company.
Anyway, they offered many different styles of shirts, hats, backpacks, etc. Everyone could pick their own item(s) and colors and add the logo to it.
We stayed away from using any Disney characters due to copyright laws. Would Disney care if we used Goofy on a shirt? Probably not, especially if we weren't selling it. But we didn't want to take the chance.:confused3

This was something I did quick on VistaPrint, their new owner. Could this be the party bus? :lmao:

Test for counter and I really don't have much to say. Exhausting day at work....
