well you know who the new person was that came in.I am guess it was the person that was insulting evryone.

We did not go over there and insult anyone. We went over to express our views, and to show that there is still some good in this world.

ps my wife always tell me I need to have the final word lol look who had the last post:thumbsup2 At least I got the shout out to our Dads of distance,in color even :lmao:

dam that was a long walk back thanks for telling me the bus was leaving guys. I was stuck in line way past thread closing time

Dude. Hel-LO!
I was sitting there right next to that tree it the cab. We were waiting for you. The cabbie was getting pissed off. He kept threatening to go ahead and start the meter and charge us for waiting time. :wave2:

Hey guys I was reading this other thread and guess what there might be a need for the Dis Dads again:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Just kidding

Well goodnight all

Against my better judgment I went back to the bus thread and saw all of the Dis Dad members posting. Dis Dads rule. I think we are the protectors of all that is good in being a dad and the bulwark for those that do not see the magic and are in it solely for themselves. Should that be part of the Dis Dads oath? Do we even have an oath?

Should we be prepared for a counter attack? Digging my foxhole now.

I'm turning in now after reading my PM I can say we are GOLDING! Way to go FED:thumbsup2 :dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer: Had to do it:lmao:

To everyone who weighed in on the bus "debate": good job. You made your mothers proud - and that's probably the highest complement a man can get! :thumbsup2

(Of course, I put quotes around "debate", as there really isn't a debate. This is an issue with a clear right and wrong. I'm proud to be a DIS Dad)

All I can say is "DO NOT feed the trolls". As we learned yesterday these "people" have absolutely no sense and you can't win an argument with someone who's sole purpose is to try and stir up controversy. I think the last thing any of us wants is for someone to get in an argument and have this thread closed. If they swing by just ignore them (with the exception of our new DisMom friends).

Oh yeah, don't forget to hold the door open for them on their way out.

Agree. But I am sure we can take them if they do come by. Foxhole is finished. An added perk is I have installed a keg if you are hunkering down with me.

I could not believe some of the posts over there. I needed a shower after reading the thread. Thanks again Fed for being the first to state our position even if you were a man down.

I have been given the task to take our best friends daughter (4yo) to Disney for the first time. I have been going to disney ever since they first opened (of course I was only 2 and was toted around in one of those backpack cariers) and have done the same for my two boys but I have never taken a little girl. To say the least I am pretty pumped! There seems to be so much more for little girls to enjoy than boys. My wife and her friend will also be going but they put the "Big Kid" :goodvibes in charge of the activities. If any other Dis Dads have advice of must things to do for a little girl please let me know!

I know I need to:
A)go see Tink and the gang ( I think I need to be there by 9:45)
B)ride it's a small world
C)Carousel

She comes over to the house while her mom works during the week and she LOVES watching "The Three Mouseketeers" and told me that when she goes to Mickey's house she wants to become a Mouseketeer........ Maybe I can sneak away and get a hat and a sword and then ask one of the cast members to give them to her and dub her a mouseketeer....

I have until April to get a good plan together. What an awesome task this is going to be.. I get to be a part of her first Disney experience!:cloud9:

Agreed no arguments on the DDC3...that's why I kept away from that other thread.

I agree feeding the trolls does not always make sense. But I do believe what the Dis Dads did on the bus thread was the right thing!!!:thumbsup2
No one went over there and belittled anyone,no one went in there just to pick a fight. We went in with a purpose, and that was to say that there should have been no debate or arguing to begin with:thumbsup2 It is MAN LAW now so hopefully anyone with the I was here first mentality will read the MAN LAW and have change in heart.

Great job last night guys by getting the thread closed, we know now there will be one less thread stealing the Magic and Pixie Dust away from our fellow Dis lovers.

Absolutely not !!!! there can not and will not be any arguments on our home turf.If a troll comes in here and tries to start a argument,we will counter with kindness.Just lke the movie "Roadhouse", if they cause trouble we will ask them to leave. We will be kind, courteous and polite.:thumbsup2

Yes, be at Toontown at 9:45 for Tink & Friends. And when you finish with them, the princess line should only be about a 15 minute wait.
Great idea with the Mouseketeer gear too.
Not sure what the budget is, but my DD did the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique on her 5th birthday in October and loved it. Age 3 is the minimum, so she would be old enough if you wanted. It is a bit pricey, with the basic hair & makeup package starting at around $50.
Also on the pricey side - but beloved by all little girls (and their Dads) - is eating at Cinderella's Royal Table in the Castle. Starting this month, all 3 meals feature the Princesses.

Off the top of my head I can't think of anything else that's mainly "girly" that you may have overlooked with 2 boys of your own. If I think of any more, I'll post them. Keep us updated on the planning!
