I all ready got my return flight last Mon. now this happens.

Does ANYBODY know what I can do to fix this.:confused3

I tried it all.

I right click to connect now and nothing
I hit retry and it goes to new window and it says navigation to wedsite cancelled.
I get error comm and try the right click to connect now and it not highlighted to hit, so I must be connected.
I turned off antivirus and nothing
this is crappy:laughing:

help

DH says if you have a firewall program running, it could be blocking Ding from communicating between your computer and SW. I have had this happen numerous times. If you're using Zonealarm, you can remove the application from Zonealarm's programs list and then reconfigure it to gain internet access through the firewall. How you handle it depends on what firewall program you are using.

I agree with above and it may have updated it's self and now thats why it's blocking it. Check you firewall not antivirus

Mine was doing that, it was being blocked by Webroot Spy Sweeper. There were 2 things I changed on the options in Webroot program and it started working immediately. I can't get it to work on DH's laptop though. He is having the same issue I was, but he doesn't have Webroot. :confused3

If you happen to have Webroot on your computer, let me know and I will let you know what I changed to get it to work.

I don't have wedroot and I'm still not getting on.
thanks

I can't believe I've had the Ding for 2 yrs and now since they had a 2 yr birthday for the DING mine stopped working.
I just don't know what's wrong.

I'm on NORTON internet security and not windows firewall. Any suggestions of what I can do?:confused3

OK the icon wing in the tray is red, no error signal yet. But when I left click it all I get is the comm error in the Ding window but no error icon on the wing. If I right click to do connect now I can't because it isn't highlighted. that neans i"m connected (right) wrong

help

DH thinks Norton is the problem. You need to disable it temporarily and then close down DING and restart DING. See if that works if it does you need to reconfigure Norton to allow DING to pass through. Give it another try.

The communication may be only going one way and then blocked by Norton.

just did this and I got to the register sign up, after I picked my airport and filled in the rest I hit register and it tells me the navigation to this website was cancelled.

also I've had NORTON for 2 yrs and had no problems with the Ding till last Wed. thanks again.
gotta keep thinking:laughing: I'm not a computer wiz:confused:

didn't get the error message but now all I can get when I click on the icon is the register screen I filled out

Here's one last try but try it in tis order.

1>Go to your norton and look up blocked sights remove anything that states Ding or Southwest.

2>Do a Live Update(Norton) and then Turn off your Norton and Uninstall Ding.

3>Turn off your computer 1 min is enough.

4> Turn on your computer and let it completely book.

5> Turn or check that Norton is turned off.

6> Reinstall a fresh Ding from the web-sight (maybe there was a problem with your DWLD)

7> turn Norton back on and it should see Ding Enable it.

Like I said before this could be because Norton updated and didn't like Ding

thanks for this info but I just got it back, I did what Vivianne DH said and it didn't work so this time I uninstalled the Ding first then sent all info on ding to the recyle bin and emptied it.
Then I disabled the Norton internet security
Then installed the Ding again and WOOLA!! it worked.
