The Devil Wears Prada.

To me that was a good thing. I hated the book. I only watched the movie to see if they could make the story line better.

IMO, they did. Andrea in the book was a spoiled brat. In the movie she actually had depth to her.

I did not care for the story line with the roommate in the book either. You have to be a real crappy friend not to notice that your best friend is an alcoholic. I thought Andrea, in the book, deserved all the bad that did happen to her. Selfish and spoiled IMO.

The movie was much better ;)

I agree with you 100 percent and I am wondering if the rest of the posters read the same book that we did? I thought the book was written horribly and hated it, but when I went to see the movie (which I did because I'd heard they had fixed the problems in the book and that streep's performance was brilliant), I loved the movie.

I have to agree with you there Elaine. The Andrea in the book was really a whiny self centered person. I was so annoyed by her at the end of the book. I liked her in the movie. I think that had a lot to do with Anne Hathaway, who is very likeable.

I read the book and I loved it. I don't want a movie to change the characters. The characters are why I loved the book in the first place. I don't have to love every character in the book to love the book, and Miranda was my favorite part of the book. What problems needed to be fixed?

(how many times can I type book?:rotfl: )

What's the point in making a movie about a book if you are going to change everything?:confused3
