okay - I need some pixie dust

my in-laws are taking the kids for the weekend -

Julia is on her antibiotics and should be fine

but I am worried about Nick - he sounded a little croupy this morning - but now that he has been up it sounds like his chest has cleared so it might have just been build up

now he is running around like nothing is wrong -

I know I am being selfish - but I hope he doesn't get sick so we can have our weekend!!

Well - marti and I might have been up emailing each other pretty late last night

I am sure she like me slept in this morning!!!

No chance for me to sleep in. I have to get DS8 up by 6:45am to catch the bus by 7:35am. That means I have to get on the treadmill by 6:15am to get my 20 minutes in so I can get a shower before I get him started. Oh well.....it is all for a meaner leaner me!!!! right??

Just curious...has anyone stayed at any of the resorts near Universal studios? Guess I have too much time on my hands...but I am thinking of a 2007 trip which may include universal.

We haven't stayed at Universal.... I barely got Skunka to visit!!! But I will say one thing... I like that they let onsite guests go to the front of the line. Before you guys go nuts, I do realize that Disney couldn't institute the same thing, simply based on size. I just wanted to say - that sounds like a good perk to me!

there is a DVC billboard at WDW that says something big is coming soon

speculation is that they will announce the contemporary villas this month - Did you hear that Denise - you will be out of excuses

or Hawaii - I will have to buy more points if that happens b/c I don't have enough to go every year there!!!

Matt had croup two weeks ago - and you can't take any antibiotics for it because it is viral. He then developed an ear infection and was able to get the medication. Hope all turns out ok for Nick.

As a matter of fact I just read that last night...what a great perk! We are going to WDW Dec '06...I want to plan an Oct. '07 trip...I think my kids would like it US. I figure I have 3 more years of being able to go at off times...then the oldest daughter will be in high school. So I am bound and determined to see Mickey as much as possible! Of course maybe a cruise would be nice...lol

My ds has had a croupy sounding cough for a while, but nothing more has ever come of it. I hope that the same for Nick.

I think I've mentioned this before...I had a 3 year old a couple of years ago who came in one day with a big smile and said quite cheerily, "My mom says that your singing is truly awful!" That stung a bit, but unfortunately, she is right.

I just went over to check this out -

some idiot with 4 posts made up a lie about seeing the billboard unwrapped

and that it made this annoucment

but someone who lives there and is a regulaar poster - just confirmed that the billboard is still wrapped

I would just like to say that I have been "lurking" around here for a while, and I think that everyone's designs are just absolutely fabulous! I wish that I had some of the creativity that many of you had (not to mention the patience and the time that it takes to design these designs for the many of us that ask you for them!).

I know that in the future, when I am in need of some designs from all you wonderfully creative and friendly designers, they are as beautiful as usual.

Here's a big dose of PD that your kids get to go to their grandparents. I don't think it's selfish at all. That's how we, as parents, re-charge our batteries! Plus, we need to work on our relationships so we still love each other when our kids fly the coup!

I'm from a small town where most everyone got married and had children right out of high school. Their children are all leaving for college, and most all of them have told me one of their best pieces of advice to parents is to try to make time for yourselves.

Although I'm not a regular poster, I've been following this thread for a couple of months now. This place is great and I'm glad you're going to keep it up. I love the creativity that many of you have and you're all really nice people willing to share your time and your knowledge. I'm really grateful to Kate, Kevin and MiinniMouseMom because of some of their designs that I used on our last trip two months ago. I got a lot of compliments on them. I'll be around.

Isn't that how croup is.....bad at night, good during the day? At least that's how it was with my Nick.

Here is that your kiddies will stay well for you. I don't think that is selfish at all. We all need a grownup time now and then. Are you all going somewhere or just hiding out at home and enjoying each others company? Whatever you do have FUN!!!

we thought about going somewhere but anywhere affordable it TOO cold

so we have $50 gift certificates to two restaurants that we would never go to with the kids - so we will go out for a nice dinner both nights and definately go to the movies to see rumor has it one night

I also think we are going to clear out some old toys when they aren't here - the kids too upset when they see us do it and of course they never miss the toys we take!!!
