No rain yesterday, and it actually dried out enough for John to mow the yards. We did wind up pumping out the crawl space under the house again though.
They are still calling for rain all week but we did not get the thunder storm they were calling for last night, so I hope all the storms are over now.

I wish I had the discipline to follow a diabetic diet - I know I would feel better!!

But last night at the cheesecake factory would have been torture!!!

I'd have a hard time doing it myself. I am doing much better watching my portion control. I've kept off all the weight that I lost (though I go up a pound and come down a pound).

One of the things he had to totally give up was pepsi and he was as addicted to it as I am. I had a hard enough time getting down to one a day. I'm not sure I could totally get rid of it. I've also really cut back on the sweets but I was craving cake the last couple of days so bought myself a 8x8 sheet cake at the store yesterday. I had two large pieces yesterday!

I just wanted to share my "thank you" cards with you! We'll be leaving them with tips!
They definately arn't professional, but still fun and took me forever to find the right program to use so they printed onto business cards!

(There are no shadows/lines when printed...no idea why it did that! But you can see it's just a clipart with words! Nothing spectacular, but definately fun!)

There is flooding around here as well. We live on high ground, so we are ok (except the small stream running through the basement). The rain has basically stopped now. We did get more rain last night, and they are predicting some rain through the weekend, but it won't be the constant rain that we had. IBM sent workers home yesterday, and is closed again today, so dh is working from home. The river crested last night at 33.15 feet which topped the record of 30.5 feet. I think that flood stage is somewhere around 18 feet.

We took a walk last night down toward the river. I took these photos of Route 17 under water. Most of the other photos don't look like much if you don't have a reference point to know what the river usually looks like. Our high school stadium is completely flooded with water up to the bottom of the scoreboard. What a mess!

I won't be disappointed. Half of the planning is to tease a couple of people that think I need an intervention. If it all doesn't go as planned, it probably would just mean more laughing which is the purpose of the whole thing! Though, what are you thinking could go wrong? Do you know something I don't? Is Tommy, Andy or Brooksie going to crash the wedding and object to Nicky marrying Minnie? Or do you think Disney is going to put a stop to it? You know, they don't want it publicly known that the two little mice are married so they might object.

Hey, it just hit me that Paula was talking about making burp clothes months ago for a friend. Was that another one of her SSP's? Those are really cute. I also like the Ewwwww one. Good job Paula.

Deb, I love the blanket too! Nice job!

I will tell yo all that the SSP's started as just one thing and now everything I do will be an SSP just for fun.

Hi Everybody;

I just wanted to second what Kate said last night about Amy's DDA baby shower!!!! I had a great time, and Amy looks awesome (especially considering she is giving birth any second now), and the gifts that everybody sent were amazing!!!! I think that Amy was SO touched by every body's generosity and SO very appreciative!!!! I was at their old & new house this past weekend helping with the move and I can't even begin to imagine how exhausted she and Kevin both are, but you would never know it!!!! That's why I think that last night meant so much to her and I'm glad she was able to get out and relax!!!! I also think that she was so happy to have a shower even for her second baby, I know that after all of the build up for the first baby you just feel sad for your later kids for also not having that prebirth recognition!!!

Kate and Jennifer it was really great to see both of you, I had SO much fun!!! I came home and read all but the last 20 pages of Kingdom Keepers, I slept for like 4 hours, but I was SO wound up, and once I start reading I can't stop. Let me know when things settle down and you all can come over for a cookout/swim!!!!

Amy has a Dr. appt. tomorrow and since they don't have Internet yet I told her to call me and I will give you all the details!!!

Thank you for all the kind words regarding Bill....for those that asked, not sure if it will be pills or injections, we have to go see a specialist first. Now that I am over my initial shock, I am trying to be upbeat for him because right now he's pretty negative.

Lindsay has sent him on and he should arrive at Jennifer's tomorrow if there are no delays in his travel itinerary! Lindsay notified Jennifer & I so I asked Theresa to mail his new shirt to Jennifer so that it didn't show up at Lindsay's after Andy had already left.

Good to hear you wont be disappointed. I don't know what I think could go wrong, but I just got a feeling and thought I should post.

About the only thing that could go wrong that would disappoint me is that I couldn't go to Disney in December or that my DDA friends can't meet me in December. The rest is just icing on the cake. Thanks for the warning.

Wow, you have added so many new things to my list. I forgot we need to get a blue garter for Minnie. She has something new - her wedding dress, shoes, flower bouquet & veil. I'll have to get thinking about the old and borrowed. Maybe she can wear one of my bracelets as her necklace for the borrowed. That is also old, but I think there should be 4 different things. Hmmm. Think! Think! Think!

Forgot about gifts for the wedding party. Never heard of getting the parents something. Are these necessary? Ooh. Wait a minute, I'm the parent. That means I get the present. Yes, that is definitely necessary.

Wedding favors? Really? What are those? Who gets them? This is a new one for me. My head is spinning. Think I have the beginning of a headache. What was I thinking? A wedding? At Disney? I think I'm going to lay down for awhile.

We usually go camping with my parents, but since I have to work on Monday (I'm the only one...waaaahhhh) we aren't going. We're all disappointed. As far as the 4th itself, I work online that night, so we'll just stay home

I do too! And even worse, I was told that we had it off and then just today that was retracted. Several people had misread an email. So...now I'm stuck coming in.
