Here's a brief synopsis of my last two days:

Yesterday at my doctor's appointment I found out I'm one cm. dialated! It looks like I'll be able to be induced a week early at this point, which means July 7th (guess I'll have to wait on seeing Pirates 2!).

I missed you guys today so I had to check in just for a few minutes to say "hi!" One of my closest friends is being a weenie right now (long story, but she thinks the sun revolves around her & her kids ) I find that you all a such a gracious bunch of people. So many of you extend your warm wishes & firiendship & it is very heartwarming. Thanks everyone...glad to know you all.

I wanted to let you all know that tonight I got an email from Karen's (lovespoohbear) dad - she is in the ICU - the email is not specific just that they had to call 911 last Sunday and that she has been in ICU all week - they were hoping she would be out of the ICU today but that didn't ahppen

Please keep her in your prayers!

Has anyone here done weight watchers recently? I keep trying to get back on a diet and excercise plan, but I am failing miserably. Atkins worked for me in the past, but I just can't stick to it anymore. The constant rain has stopped me from getting outside to exercise so I feel like a giant blob. I am toying with the idea of weight watchers. I am not a big veggie eater so I'm wondering if I will be able to stick to it? Anyone have any advice?

I've had a rather stressful day. When I got to work I took a peek at the newspaper as I always do. On the front page was the news that the man (dealer) that I bought I my mobile home from had crashed his SUV into a pole less than a mile from his home and was killed instantly. He was only 48, and had two young children (his daughter is just 5). I believe I mentioned the other night that after my husband died I was forced to declare bankruptcy. Well, when I fell in love with my present home, I missed out on getting a mortgage to purchase it by just a few points. I was so terribly disappointed. Scott said he had some other homes that were less money that he could show me, but I wanted this one. This wonderful man financed the home for me himself (personally, not through his dealership). I paid him back in full in 4 years, but I will never forget how wonderful he was. Without him and his generosity and faith in me I would not have my home today. Just to show how well liked and respected he was, it took over an hour just to get into the funeral parlor tonight. The line stretched half a block! Please add a prayer for Scott's family to your ever growing list.

What a wonderful man! Prayers for Scott's family and their friends.

OMG I was having a few problems trying to quote or reply.
Sending well wishes for anniversaries and birthdays.
for those who need it. I sent prayers as I read of those who need it.
for all of the DDA and their kids. And I don't beleive it's what you own or wear that makes you all an amazing bunch of people.
Glynis glad to see your trip went well. You make me miss being at DL. I soo want to go back this summer to see the Pirates ride redone. Alas, I have to convince DH.
Kate I hope your knee holds up well until you have the surgery. I hope everyone has a good rest of the week-end.

Have had problems all day getting into the dis. Know they were having tech problems.

Just wanted to say we went to the movies and saw Cars! What a great movie! The story, animation and characters were just wonderful.. Loved the movie. And so glad we stayed through all of the credits. Just adorable.

I hope Chuck made it to the cruise..

I have joined about 4 times over the past 8 years. It is a great program but you have to stick with it. I joined last Saturday and weighed in today and lost 5.2 lbs in one week. I was thinking that maybe I had eaten too much and wouldn't have a weight loss. I was very excited.

I just got back from Northpoint, went to meet a Dis'er who was on the cruise with us and her 3 sons, we had dinner and then went shopping and before we knew it they were closing the stores.

Kate. I think the new friend you mentioned the other day may have posted on the weight loss thread. Just thought you'd like to know.

We decided not to go bowling tonight as we were all tired. We will go tomorrow. We ended up watching Nanny McPhee. What a good movie. Chris even liked it, though he thought that he wouldn't.

I've been making more autograph pages. They are coming out well (at least on the computer screen). Does anyone know which character's from Cars will be appearing at MGM?

I have multi cultural hands(every color we had) after an afternoon of tie dyeing. We did shirts for the Pal Mickeys, the girls and I did shorts and shirts and Abi made a floor green. It shall be interesting at tomorrows roast to see how my hands and green nose go over!!

Anyone have a suggestion for an inexpensive digital camera? I have started looking and am so confused...all I know is I want something with a zoom lens.

Theresa I just got a Canon powershot A620 - 7mega pixels and a decent zoom. It is a compact camera (unlike my old one) so you can fit it in your purse. I got it because it was a bargain on amazon - but after it arrived I checked out the photography board and a lot of people are raving about it.
