I made Lizzie autograph cards using blank 4x6 index cards. I put coloring book images on the cards for her to color. I also made her some with clip art and made a set with the flags from the Epcot countries. I also made a set for Halley. They live in Jacksonville and will visit us on Saturday. On her's I put "Halley's Friends" on the top and "Walt Disney World" on the bottom. That way she can use them in the future too. I purchase a coupon organizer for the cards and seperated them into Mickey & friends, princesses, Peter Pan, ....I'll let you know how it goes actually finding the cards while in the parks.

You did a fantastic job on all the shirts, gifts and autograph cards. I hope you have a fabulous time on your trip, and Happy Birthday to Lizzie!

Thanks, Chanon. I really wanted preferred, but they said they were sold out of preferred. I thought perhaps water view would be closer to the food court and the bus stop. Do you think I should now "downgrade" to a standard view or do you think the water view will be closer to everything?

ETA: We might be at least "at" the room more than you might think. We're going at the end of August and thought we'd take pool breaks in the afternoon.

What dates will you be there? We're going to be at POR 8/19-8/26. We're planning a few afternoon pool breaks as well.

I'm asking for prayers for my neighbor. Her 24 year old daugher passed away on the 14th from a massive stroke. She left a newborn baby boy.

Prayers said. How sad.

I did a dumb thing today. We had some friends coming over for an 11 a.m. playdate, so I was vacuuming. Our black lab, Libby, hates the vacuum (she has so many neurotic tendencies!) and I didn't realize she was cowering behind me and I tripped and fell on her with all my weight. I'm fine, but she cried out in pain and now she's favoring her front paw. She's letting me touch it without complaint and I've been making her sit and put some weight on it, but when she's walking, she's limping pretty bad. I'm so mad at myself and I feel terrible, but we're just going to watch it for a couple days, because we can't really afford another vet bill right now (Libby had $300 worth of allergy issues two months ago and Mickey's bladder infection/death was another $300). Please keep your fingers crossed that I didn't break our dog's leg! I feel like a total idiot!

Beth-Happy Birthday to your DS!!!

I finished my T's and autograph cards.

I made each child a little gift gift bag from their favorite friends. I had a package sent home to me from my last trip so I just used that box and put at label with their names over the one with my name. I had Lizzie read the label and read the return label from Walt Disney World.

Lizzie's package was in a Pooh birthday gift bag that someone had given me. It included a T & card designed by Beth (THANKS!!!!!!) and a Pooh Barbie I bought on clearance at Walmart after Christmas. I used a Hanes T and Avery for light T's transfer. I am really happy with the results. I brought the card with me on my last trip and had the Pooh characters sign it.

Needless to say, Lizzie (who spells her name Lizzy since starting school) LOVES it! And she totally believes that her friend Pooh did this for her.

I LOVE IT!!! Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic gifts :thumbsup2
And I really like the idea of this little organiser too to keep the cards in... will have to look and see if we have those in 6x4 size over here :)

My assignments are in :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

The last two were really hard as the questions were so badly worded, and every time we asked for clarification we got a different anwer, so I'm not sure the tutor even knows what his own question means!

But I did the best I could and they've been sent - so its not worth worrying about them now until I get the results back! :teeth:

So I'm now going to enjoy what's left of my week off without being glued to my laptop... pity the :sunny: has just left and the rain has returned :rotfl:

And we just got two lovely new sofas delivered - gotta go help DH saw the other two up so that we can get them out of the house and take them to the tip :)

:yay:

Congratulations! It must feel great to have them all done! :cheer2:

Definitely! I'm planning on chocolate covered strawberries and grapes, some kind of pink punch (non-alcoholic), veggie and fruit trays, and I want some kind of finger sandwiches too. I'm also planning on getting pink and white M&M's from a specialty shop here.

Any other ideas?

A great pink punch recipe is Strawberry Ginger Ale and Vanilla Ice Cream scoops. Make some ice trays with the ginger ale w/ 1/2 of a strawberry frozen in the cubes. That keeps the punch from getting watered down as the cubes melt. Pour the ginger ale in the punch bowl and then scoops of vanilla ice cream in the punch.

Good Morning DDA...Thanks for a slow week. I have been reading but not posting as it has been very busy here. I am holding an open house this weekend for my direct sales business so I have been working on that, deciding on recipes and doing paperwork, along with our normal everyday things. The recipes for the dump cakes sound soo yummy. I think the Disney quiz is cute, I am Donald.

Chanon, Prayers for your neighbors family. That is so sad. :grouphug:

Denise, Glad to hear that Rees' IEP went well for you. Congrats to the Figs for graduating preschool and their awards. Hope you feel better soon. :wizard: for all and Rees' upcoming tests.

Kate, I hope things get better for Julia. :grouphug: to her. It seems to me that a group of 3 girls is a recipe for disaster. I have 2 sets of really good girlfriends, there are 3 of us in each group and even in our 30's now one of us gets our feelings hurt when we feel left out. Looks like you got some good advice from everyone here.

Jo, Sounds like you had a nice dinner with Ramiro and XDH

Jen, What a great story about Alyssa and the rainbow.

Paula, Looks like the girls are enjoying Pal Mickey.

Marci, Way to go Jake and Andrew!!! :cheer2:

Lynn, Way to go Austin and Alex!!!

Tammi, Way to go Nicholas! :yay: Emma got her only goal the day I missed her game. :guilty:

Beth, :bday: a little late to your son! You will be in WDW the same time we are :goodvibes Tho we are in ASMo.

Jennifer, I hope the itching stops soon.

Steffy, Feel better quick! $98 for meds. I was :furious: last night when I picked up Molly's Clarinex, it was $50. Last year it would have been $5 and the year before that $3. It is highway robbery!

Amy, More :wizard: for the house. It sounds wonderful. Eric and I want to get out of MD and if it was something I could do now, I'd come buy it. :) My girls could share a room, as Emma would live in the pool! :wizard: for Libby. Glad to hear you didn't hurt yourself.

Becky, Where o where do you get all your ideas from! I love them all.

Bernadette, The kids' gifts look great. Have fun on your trip! Enjoy the time with Lizzie/Lizzy.

Clare, :cheer2: on getting your assignments done!

And to the May 18th gang:

Have a great trip and don't forget to take lots of pictures!

I also made Lizzie & I Pop T's using Midnite's design (thank you!) and Pooh T's using Kate's square design. I always leave the kids a gift when I go away so I made Joe a Cars T and purchased him a Cars duffle, Cars magnadoodle book and Cars book. I made Emma a Nemo T, bought her a Nemo backpack, Pixar (w/Nemo) magnadoodle book, and Nemo book. Kate-Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou!!! I used Avery for dark transfers for all of these T's. They are mostly Old Navy but Lizzie Pop T is a Rabbit from the site Kate gave me.

Someone's getting excited for her trip!!!

Yeah!!!

I hope you have a ton of fun.

Me too after I read my post. :teeth:

Oops. :confused3

One more week and school is out!

Cassidy and I went last night and found out marching band camps start May 30th and run the month of August and sporadic ones through June and July. So her summer is booked already. :teeth:

OK... chiggers... never heard of them before... is it possible for you to have the welts on your arms and legs, and for them to appear over the course of a few days?

I read the info that Vicki pointed you to but I was just after some more details...
yes, the welps came up opn sat. may 6 then a few days later more came up then a few days later more. They itch like crazy. I am going to go buy some cornstarch I think and try that for the itching.

Enjoy the rain. :p

Our version is a little different. We use 7 UP, HiC fruit punch and vanilla ice cream.

I asked this question on the resorts board, but no one is answering. I found that I will have a few extra dollars for my trip and decided to upgrade from Pop to a moderate. I couldn't decide between POFQ and CBR. I've stayed at both in the past. POFQ was just redone in 2004. My main reason for wanting to upgrade is that the bus stops at the parks are a little closer than the values (especially Pop). I finally chose POFQ since the resort is smaller than CBR and quieter for the most part. I called and got water view. Do you think I chose wisely? What would you have done?
June,
I really LOVED POFQ. I actually think you may prefer a nonwater view room though as I think many of the water view rooms are at the back of the resort near the river. I had asked for a top floor room thinking it would be quieter but those stairs were long at night and the elevator was at the other end of the building. For my Aug trip I'll be requesting 1st floor.

We had perfect bus service. FQ is picked up first and only goes to POR if it isn't full. At night it drops off at FQ first. The longest we waited was at 7:05 am when we witnessed the bus just pulling out and that wait was only 15 minutes.
