Hello all...

Do they sell those decorative house flags at WDW? I have developed another obsession..Bill of course doesn't get it!

Kristine
I've never seen them there, but I've never really looked for them either. We seem to have one for each season/holiday. But it would be fun to have a Mickey one to put out for each upcoming Disney trip!

ENABLER!!!! ;)

Good night all!! After work tomorrow Terra and I are picking up the rental car for getting to the airport the next morning (makes an early flight so much easier if I can get a good rate). After Phil gets done at his doctor's appointment, I'm hoping to talk Phil into taking me out to dinner for my birthday/Mother's Day before we go. So, in case I don't make it back online tomorrow...I'll talk to you all Wednesday after we get back. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

BTW - Phil had an appointment today with the oncologist and she said that his blood counts all look good. The MRI on his spleen didn't show much change from the one she did over three years ago. So...the good news is that so far everything looks good. His spleen still has overactive issues which could lead to problems later, but there are no signs of lymphoma or other nasty words like that right now. The oncologist doesn't feel the need to see him for another year when she wants to retest everything so that sounds like a good sign too.

The only thing of concern is that some of his other blood work is a little funky. For example, despite taking Vitamin D supplements, his Vit D levels are low. So, the next stop will be an endocronologist to see what's up there. The leaning is hyperparathyroid, but I have no idea what that means so I'm just kind of going along with the flow. I guess we'll see in a month or so after that appointment.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. I could tell that Phil felt noticibly psychologically after his appointment so things are defintely looking up.

It looks like she will need the prednisone and the antibiotic for the rest of her life to treat the Immuno Deficiancy disease. It is called Pemphigus. The doctor didn't stress that it was life threatening in anyway however the article I just read said that it can be difficult to treat. I have my fingers crossed that the low dose prednisone works well for her.

Deb

I hope so too! We have been able to cut the dosage to 1/2 pill every other day, which has helped with the water-weight gain. But the Flourinef cannot be changed at all, so we are stuck with that huge bill for the next few years at least.

Here's a big round of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for everyone who requested prayers and PD today!

Amy :)

Terry – what is the color of your sky today?

Paula
Well since it is nighttime it is dark and very dark.

Supposed to rain into the weekend. That upsets me cause I have been doing a Clean Sweep getting ready for a big yard sale that the Rec Center Sponsors. Plus I might not be able to use a truck that was promised to me.
Will have to change my plans and do a yard sale here instead if the weather stays crummy

Deb - I hope your weekend is not a total washout. Hopefully there will be some sunshine mixed in with those raindrops. I also hope that your dog gets on well with the prednisone. Sounds to me like they may be using it to take care of the inflammation from the UTI. Is it going to be something she needs to take on a regular basis? Button will be on it and the flourinef for the rest of her life. But the upshot is that she HAS a rest of her life!

What she said.

I'm glad things are looking up (for the most part), and that you are getting some answers :grouphug: :wizard: for the next few appointments and your trip!

Well I waited until I caught up to tell my sob story (all right it's not a sob story to anyone but me):

I had to teach Abi how to shave under her arms tonight :guilty:

Should have happened awhile ago but I couldn't make myself do it!! But with summer she didn't want monkey hair under her arms.

Kristine - I am thinking there is a shop at DTD that seems to be outdoorsy - it is where the pooh shop is

maybe they have them there

I also think I have seen them in Epcot - but they might not be Disney Specific

give me enough Margaritas and I might be able to get you a flower and garden festival banner!!!! :teeth: Do you think security will have a problem with that?!?!?

where di you buy them..or did you order online?

Anything new with that???

Not yet, but it'll happen. We sign our bridge loan next week, and my fingers are crossed we won't have two house payments for very long. I know this is all meant to be...there was no way we could pass on the new house! :goodvibes

Thanks for asking! And thanks to everyone for your continued :wizard: for us!

Yes, but you could have made some real money! :-) They might have started a bidding war the way you handled it. :rotfl:

All proceeds from the address biding war go to the PDZ. Please bid safely and high.
