I guess the keg wasn't a good idea

Poor Julie will not be playing with the turtle tonight

I am sure we will laugh about this someday :confused3
Now that you mentioned keg, you must be joking!

It's a favorite in our house too! Everything is delicious, and the price is fantastic! :thumbsup2

My kids like it, DH will not eat there so when he is out of town or working late we go (about once or at most twice a year).

As a child many times. On our honeymoon and then once last year.

Let's see; I guessed Jennifer, and you said, no. How about Lindsay? Maybe Vicki? What about Kristin, or Tia?

my DD has vonage and I am not impressed with the reception

We signed up for vonage so we could use it while we were in Australia and Korea last year, we called and the reception was good, we use it at home as a second line as we still have our bellsouth phones and haven't had a problem, it actually has better reception than bellsouth from our house but we have had our other number longer so everyone calls on that.

Well, I can't believe it, but I am all caught up. I'm going to do the 40 minutes on the computer and then 15 minutes of housework trick.

It is pouring outside. I already went to the bank and bought lunch.

Who suggested Flylady? Whomever it was, thank you from the bottom of my disorganized little heart.... I can't believe how much I have accomplished today with very little effort.

Plus, with the 40 minutes of computer time reward, I'm getting all kinds of stuff done. Downloading pictures, getting them into albums, dising, next I'm going to download my Disney video that I haven't even watched yet! I don't even remember what I video-taped during my trip!

So I am cleaning the kitchen, den and my bedroom, paying bills, clearing off my dresser!! , filing, balancing my accounts and for my reward, I am playing with my computer!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Yay! Another Flylady convert! It really changes your mind about housework, doesn't it?

It went surprisingly well. The horrible rainy weather they were predicting held off until 8:00 last night which allowed us to go to the cemetery. That was important to my broghter and sister and me since we had not been able to do that when my Dad died. (It snowed 37 inches the day he died and it continued to snow for the next 3 months. It was horrible.)

We got to see old friends and people from the neighborhood where we grew up. Most of the adults from that time are gone, but the few who are left came, as well as relatives we had not seen in years. A dear friend from Fredericksburg drove up for the funeral and then back home. I was stunned as it is a good 6 hour trip!

Most importantly, my siblings and I got to reconnect and it was terrific. It has been 6 years since we were all together and we had so much fun last night when we went out to dinner. We laughed and cried and had a little too much to drink and it was wonderful.

Again, the love I have received from all the DDA friends has been such a comfort to me. Thanks to all of you one more time.

Glad to hear things went well and you got to spend such good quality time with your siblings, good to have you home and posting again.

:rolleyes1 yeah yeah - I have been on and off all day - but 've been catching up too... I figured it's actually easier to stay caught up and I'm nearly there - so then I'll be able to study properly

That's my story and I'm sticking to it :rotfl2:

Hear, hear!!!! I couldn't agree more! It's much easier to stay caught up and homework on the side, then homework now and catch up on the side. I'm always worried I'll miss something important on the DDA, like finding out who all the alter egos are.

I'm sorry I don't remember whose recipe it was, but I made the Dutch Meatloaf tonight. If I hadn't screwed it up, it would have been really good. I guess it was anyway because John and the kids ate it up! Instead of reading through the instructions, I just started dumping everything into the bowl with the meat. So by the time I realized that all of the liquid ingredients were supposed to be mixed separate, I had already put in all of the tomato sauce, water and brown sugar. At this point it was too late to do anything else so I just mixed it all together and had one big blob, because it was way to moist. I baked it anyway and it still was a little soft when done. Didn't hold together well. But we ate it and the kids didn't complain, so that makes it a winner. Next time I will get it right.

On another note, to show you how my day is going, since it has been so rainy and we can't do anything outside, I decided to try to capture some of my digital movies into my computer and edit them. Well I spent over an hour trying to get my laptop to recognize my camcorder, which it will not do. I have tried everything that I can think of, but it is still isn't working. I don't know what to do now. Any ideas?

My brother tried to do that last year and it crashed his whole system, it took him ages to get it all fixed etc and hasn't tried it again :lmao:

no, i got an HP..I have tried setting it for 1 minute even, just to see if it would come on...but nothing

I must have been in laa laa land during the FlyLady thing. Who is it? Web link please? Thank you.

I'm sure someone's already answered this: www.flylady.net. She is great at helping you deal with CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome). She teaches you how to declutter, organize, and have fun doing it! Love her!
