Hi Everybody;

I'm just checking in, I haven't even gone back and caught up yet.

Cody isn't home yet, Dave will hopefully be picking him up on his way home from work tonight. I hope we are able to keep him as comfortable as possible so that he isn't in too much pain!!!

I am SO sick, I feel absolutely lousy, and I never get sick. I have a fever, chills, aching, and a low grade fever. My throat hurts a little bit but other than that I have no actual symptoms. I cannot keep my eyes open, I have slept the majority of the day on the couch. I feel absolutely lousy, I don't know if I have gotten myself run-down lately or what~is the flu still going around???

I swear I am not a drama queen but I am miserable , I took the week off of work to spend time w/ the kids, not to be sick. I mad a huge mess in the basement last night while I was sorting through baby clothes to sell at the garage sale (that seems like it will never happen), and now I feel so lousy I can't even go down and clean up the mess-I can't stand things laying around or left unfinished. On top of that I have to go and pick up meat trays at one store and potato salad at another sometime this afternoon for Dave and Kyle to go and serve dinner at a homeless shelter tonight, I don't know were I am going to get the energy to leave the house, I am completely wiped out-But since Dave is picking up the dog after work he just won't have time.

Ugh, I am SO sorry to sound like all I do is complain, I just haven't felt this bad in a long time, and it sucks that this happens while I'm on "vacation"!!!

Thanks again for all of your prayers for Cody, they mean more than you know, would you mind throwing in a few for me to start feeling better soon!!!

Well done, Kate and Tammi!!

Clare -- should I have said "Good show"?????

Good show! Only if you say it in a very posh plummy accent like the Queen... of England not the DDA... but I don't talk like that thank goodness :teeth: :rotfl:

BTW - I think the PD fund is a FANTASTIC idea :thumbsup2

Denise,

My sister just said that everything close to you is ok now, just a lot of rain. I am so relieved.

Terry

Yes it passed quickly for all the fuss they made about it.

I have been wearing my crocs to physical therapy and yesterday FOUR - yes I said 4 people commented on how much they loved them and one of my PTs went to try to buy them last night but couldn't find them!

Then today I wore my Niles and my other PT said to me - you always have such great shoes on!!

They are pretty worried about my knee - I did better today than yesterday and he said today that I have improved since I started - that I basically had no quad then - but that I still have a LONG road ahead of me and then he scared me b/c he asked if the Doctor said anything about surgery to me -
he said it is not common with this condition but sometimes it is the only thing to do

ETA: they are very concerned about the total collapse I had on Sunday

Ouch - :wizard: for a swift recovery.

Speaking of crocs - I wore mine to work yesterday - out in public for the first time  Only two people noticed them, one said they looked like birkenstocks - the other, my shoe mad friend, said they looked like they were made of tyres and couldn't beleive how light they were - she said she'd prefer them in another colour than black though!

Now here's my question. They fit fine without the strap - but I'm not good at walking in backless shoes so my feet ache a bit from holding them on my feet.

If I put the strap on it forces my foot too far forward and my toes crunch the front.

I put them in the dryer for 5 mins and tried to stretch them but it didn't really work...

Any ideas?

Should I buy another pair in a bigger size??

Help I so want to wear them but without the straps walking distances is gonna be a pain! (they're fine for wandering around in the office tho)

Unless she changed her dates, no. The dates she gave me for Vegas was April 28 - May 3 (I think). I'm sure of the April 28 date because we need to get PM to her before then. She's taking him with her.

Hang on isn't that her surprise anniversary trip?? Vicki you'd better pack an eye mask and some ear plugs for PM... for the turtle time :rolleyes1

I'm waaaaay back on 1507 - I may never catch up!

I was thinking a conference call would be kinda fun - can you do that through a VOIP service like Skype? That's free from user to user.

I feel like I hsould just stay here in the present - but I really want to see what I missed... I may just skim :scared: :faint: :rolleyes2

You are going to have a bust weekend catching up.
I'm not sure about skype, but imagine you could. Will ask DH if he knows as he was on there site the other day.

Cute pictures :thumbsup2

I love the one of Bethie and the huggies - but part of me wants to tell you to take it down... this being the internet and all and there are some horrid people out there who look for photos with children with a high flesh count if you know what I mean... Not a nice thought but that's just my HO.

I thought the same thing, even being the Dis there are still wierddo's around.

Marti I have some good news - the curley wurleys are in the post :thumbsup2

But I have some bad news... we decided to send them surface to keep the costs down and only after the woman had stickered the parcel and sent it down the chute did she say... That could take up to 12 weeks to be delivered is that ok?

:scared:

:faint:

DH said - what was I supposed to say?? Get her to go and rescue it and start again??

SO you may have to wait a while... sorry :sad2:

That is too funny, old and stale curley wurleys :lmao: :lmao: I saw them at whole foods the other day by the english chocolates, they were 79c each and of course I had to get 2, it was probably 15 years since I had had one.

Did you try the microwave???

NO don't do that cause you will have a lump of plastic after a couple of minutes!!!

try the dryer again and stretch the strap over the back of the shoe and see it that helps.

I'm wiped. Today was good and bad. Kids had a creative movement show at school and did the balance beam, tumbling, and line dance. It was cute, and they did a really good job. Then staff meeting, then ballet. By the time I got home and had 40 minutes to cook dinner, unpack from the day... I was in a FOUL mood. I think all the stress of Rees, being so busy, didn't sleep any last night has caught up with me. Went to choir in NOT the best mood. The kids were bouncing off the walls (I teach 4 year old choir). The other teacher and I both are rejoicing that there are only 2 more weeks.

Came home and got the kids in bed. DH went to bed early. I asked if I could DIS and watch TV in bed and got the big NO. So I am downstairs in the recliner. I feel like screaming, crying, breaking everything in the house, throwing a fit. I hold it together and then I just break. So now I'm crying typing this and hating how I feel. Sorry for the ramble. I just get so freaking mad over how life is for Rees, how complicated everything always is, how much effort just normal activities can be, how hard scheduling our lives can be. It is never just a simple little life here. It is ALWAYS something. Gosh darnit, why can't some evil kid have all these problems? It is so damn unfair. I'm off to have another glass of wine. Maybe I'll relax and get some sleep.

Oh Denise, I'm sending you as much :wizard: and :grouphug: as I can, I hope you're feeling better and that Rees is ok. I think about you and your family every day and hope that everything is ok with you guys, you so deserve a break. :wizard:

Oh my Gosh I hardly know where to begin! I came in to tell you all your prayers are working for me!!! We went to court with Joe's ex on Mon. and it went really well for us.I am praying so hard that we will get custody of Jonathan. We have been in such a funk around this house for months and months. It's like a weight lifted off of us on Mon. afternoon. We still have a ways to go but it's looking very good for us! :sunny:

Our neighbor Mr.Wilson is doing better. He's awake and responding .I don't know what the prognosis is by I just TG he didn't die.

I've been reading for a couple hours on here now trying to catch up on what I could.I think all I've read has been posts from today...well actually it's yesterday(Weds) now.I know I'll be leaving people out because like... I think Steffy said...I didn't take notes! :teeth: I had thoughts about things I read
but now I am getting tired and things have left this brain!! OY!

Night DDA!

So good to see your "typeface" Alica - hope everything works out as you hope :goodvibes
