I just came back from the ER. My finger kept swelling and it had a bruise on it, and the pain was getting worse. I had an X-Ray and fortunately it is not broken, but the doctor said that the liquid from the nuckle that joins the pinky finger and the hand, dispersed. I don't know exactly how to explain this in english, but it's sort of a little bag that popped open and caused the inflammation. I got a half splint up to my elbow!! And it's my right hand, so that makes it worst, and I'm trying to type this the best I can, but still...
Anyway, I'll be able to remove it in 10 days. I'll cope with that (and I hope the kids too!!).

Monica
Ouch. It doesn't sound good but glad it's not broken. :wizard: Hope it feels better soon and that the kids as well as you can cope meanwhile.

Denice I hope Rees is not in too much pain without is reflux meds.

He just did it again (that's why I'm up), but didn't even wake up. That's good, but it does show he's refluxing. I'm praying it isn't bad enough to need surgery.

I am home from work and caught up on all the goings on here. Sounds like some of you could use some :wizard: and :grouphug: . I got home at about 11 PM and Chris, Nick and Hunter headed out to our backyard to campout in the tent. We dug the tent out today as Nick and Chris are going to a Boy Scout camporee next weekend. I think they are nuts for being outside tonight. It is supposed to get down to 34 degrees tonight. Hunter lasted 10 minutes then came inside to a hot bath and his warm bed. He has 0% body fat so he gets cold easily. So far Nick and Chris are still out there. I spent most of my day Spring Cleaning my camper. I always wash everything, walls ceiling cupboards, dishes, linens, etc each spring. I spent 5 hours and didn't get everything done, but needed to go to work. Hopefully I'll finish tomorrow. We also have to go to camp and clean out the sugaring lines which means trampsing through the woods getting soaked. Something that I'm not looking forward too.

Deb
Yep, I wouldn't be out there. But I could see my silly DH doing it. ;)

Believe me, I don't always handle it well. What nobody sees, including my DH, is me in the shower late at night crying, blaming God, asking why, screaming my head off, being so mad I could just go crazy. After I let it out, I try to remember how blessed I am to even have Rees, remember how much joy and love he brings to me each and every day, and leave the rest to God. Do I wish that Rees had an easier time? Of course. Do I have a difficult time when a new problem arises? You bet your life I do. Do I get mad that he has problems when other kids don't? Darn right! Do I deny some of his diagnosis at first because it is too much to bear. Absolutely. But this is the way God made him, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I'm glad that I have helped you in some small way. It is a long and often painful road having a child with special needs, but it is also the most amazing and rewarding journey you will ever take. Just take one day at a time. The single best piece of advice anyone ever gave me concerning Rees was my mom. The day we found out he had severe issues was at his well child check up for his 3rd b'day. My family was there when the doctor told us. John and I were completely devastated, and I couldn't quit crying. My mom looked at me and said, "just remember he is the EXACT same child right now with this diagnosis that he was this morning without it. Nothing else has changed except now you know what you are dealing with and can get help." My mom is a very wise woman.
Denice you sound like you have a great real life family supprt system. Ypur Mm sounds like a very wise woman. Glad to see faith is a very big part of all our lives.

Ok. What tree are you? I'm a chestnut tree. Pretty accurate for me.

I am the fir tree

seems to be fairly accurate:

Fir tree (Mysterious) -- extraordinary taste, handles
stress well, loves anything beautiful, stubborn, tends to care for
those
close to them, hard to trust others, yet a social butterfly, likes
idleness and laziness after long demanding hours at work, rather
modest,
talented, unselfish, many friends, very
reliable.

Night all I am having a hard time staying awake. I will see you all later this morning or afternoon.

Boy I wish I could design!

:cheer2: party: :jumping1: Happy Birthday to Paul... Denise's hunka hunka burning love. :hippie: Tammy's Shunka burning love :duck: and Marti's love's connection..

:rockband: party: :cake: :bday:

Love the design Denise!!!!

Have a great day Hunka!!!

Heres me
Poplar Tree (Uncertainty) -- looks very decorative,
talented, not very self-confident, extremely cour ageous if necessary,
needs goodwill and pleasant surroundings, very choosy, often lonely,
great animosity, great artistic nature, good organizer, tends to lean
toward philosophy, reliable in any situation, takes partnership
seriously.

somewhat accurate.

That's the rest of my family and other than the good organizer, that part had me :lmao:

Just a quick update, Ty, the little boy I babysit, came home from the hospital yesterday on mega doses of antibiotics. He has a staph infection but is home and doing well. Thanks for the :wizard: and prayers

Now I need some :wizard: for Molly. We have been out all day, Emma's soccer game, birthday party and then to my inlaws for dinner. Molly was fine all day, but when I put her in her carseat to come home she screamed bloody murder. Didn't think too much of it as she is extremely tired and just thought she was past her limit. Then when I put her in her pj's she screamed again, I was trying to put her arm in her sleeve. So I think she may have hurt her arm. She was in a moon bounce at the birthday party. I don't think she broke it as she is moving it but only slightly. We are watching Dumbo, her absolute favorite, until we leave for her dr's appt at 9pm.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Heidi and Angela, :grouphug: and :wizard: for your family members.

Congrats on all the MNSSHP and MVMCP ticket purchases. Sounds like fun!

Denise, I completely understand the want for him to reflux. It is so much easier to know what you are dealing with then the unknown.

Happy Birthday Alyssa :cake:

Catch you all later.

Yea!! for Ty!!

Hope Molly hasn't broken anything!!!

Hi!

I couldn't pass up going into the Disney store & I ended up going berserk & buying these absolutely cute plastic cups & goblets with Mickey, Nemo, Ariel, & Tink on them. They also have hawaiin flowers & lemon/ lime slices. I bought the glasses & smaller cups for the kids..also bought the matching pitcher..and plates with the same design..I couldn't be stopped...I was a shopping maniac. Well at least I had a coupon...$75 in plastic tableware later I came home & showed DH..he says "what, more glasses & plates?" while opening my overfilled cupboards...I said "yea but these have Mickey on them." :lmao:

Hope you are all having a good weekend. Hugs to everyone needing one today. :grouphug:

We were able, this time, to pass up those dishes!!! They are so cute aren't they? We all got new tshirts at the Disney Store and JcPenneys is my favorite store for clothes!! All the kids are wearing those silly shoes and I have nearly gotten run over by a few. :sad2: . So glad we haven't had requests for them!!

That was the sweetest and most open thing I have ever read and your mom is a brilliant, brilliant woman. We all would be wise to remember those words at different points in our lives.

Hi everyone.
Hope you all are doing well.
Just popping in to say the move went well.
All settled in before the rain hit.
Pretty much all done unpacking.
I cheated.
Apartment has been empty since 4/8/6.
So I have been moving things in since then.
Just needed the furniture, kitchen stuff in.
The girls ( :cat: :cat: ) are a bit confused.
Need to get some food & Ramiro pictures up in his room.
Hoping I can get caught up Sunday.
Only 250 pages behind so far.
take care later.

that's a great way to cheat!!!
Glad to hear the move is going well!!
