The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 6

Who wants to help me write scavenger hunt clues?!




Here's the (vague) plan. I have a spot I'm going to leave a note for Kyle telling him to be on the lookout for pieces of the puzzle.

Each day (or however often it needs to be), I plan on giving him a clue that leads him to a particular place/item/etc around the house. Once he's there, there will be a ziploc bag of color coordinated puzzle pieces I am in the process of decorating.

Eventually, he'll have all the pieces to multiple mini-puzzles (although I will not tell him how many, but the colors should make it not SO hard ), that will spell out why we're going on this trip....

and the final one will be of the Wonder!

Kind of cheesy, but I need to start now if I want to reveal it by May 4th (see weight loss thread for that one ).




SO.... any ideas? I'd love for them to be rhyming, mystery-like as opposed to just "something you wear on your feet ".

PM me if you come up with something, or post here -- whatever works!

ETA: I'm off to run errands and then eat at a Sri Lankan restaurant with a friend of mine. Who knew there was one nearby?!

I'll check back once I get back, in case there are any clarifications that need made, etc. You all have always been so good at this stuff, so I hope someone is up for it!

At 5:30 am we heard Nick sobbing - Steve found him on his way down the steps and very disoriented - he brought him into bed and I didn't even have to take his temp to know he had a fever! He refused any medicine and fell asleep immediately (Nick always refuses meds so the Doctor has told me as long as he is able to sleep and is drinking I can let the fever go as long as it doesn't go too high)

He woke up this morning at about 8:30 and asked for the TV - I asked if he wanted a drink or meds and he said no - he says nothing hurts - so I let him lay there - my wild child has not gotten off my bed yet today - he did drink some juice and the fever is about 102 (he won't sit still for me to know for sure)

I am so tired!!

on the upside - DH brought me graeter's chocolate chip ice cream home last night - I stopped myself short of eating the whole pint!!!

I'm sorry that Nick is not feeling well. Hopefully it will pass soon, and he'll be bouncing off the walls, soon! I hope that you will be able to get some rest, too.

I think you should definitely plan on finishing off the pint today. Something tells me that you may need it!

I sent Becky an email but haven't heard back from her - but she did log on last night - so I am going to assne she is okay just not posting

I made her a signature yesterday - maybe that will lure her out!!

I hope that everything is ok! I know that she is busy, busy, busy! I love the signature that you made for her. Splash Mountain is my favorite!

Well, I got to sleep at 4:30 AM and had to get up the kids at 7 to get ready for school. Not sure when we're going to bed tonight. I just feel bad for him, he keeps going to the door and going DADA. He is going through separation anxiety so this trip wasn't good timing.
I hope you and your DD get some rest tonight.

Ellie had a lot of problems when Mark left in Jan for 5 weeks, she is doing so much better this time.

I hope it gets better for you quickly.

Don't know if it helps, but it takes me up to five days to recieve a letter from my MIL in SoCal at our house in Boston.

Thank you, I haven't snail mailed anything to the East coast in some time.

Uhmmmm...............oh yeah, I was! Actually, I'm getting quite a bit done. The floor and chair are clear. Many things have been put away or thrown away. Still working on it.

I absolutely love my new signature it is so awesome. It has me in tears because I love it so much. I come on here after a week away to this, it makes my lousy week seem so much better, now that I have an awesome signature by Kate and I am back on the DDA.

no no on no no I did not PM you the fever. I am so sorry to hear this. For the love of Pete, can we all just get a month or so w/o any lurgy.

Morning everyone! Not much time today to catch up, actually have to go to work!

I missed Amazing Race last night, I'm so !!! Too many other things being Tivo'd at the same time.

I've cleaned the junk room! Girlfriend stopped by and picked up all the junk, I mean garage sale items, for her sale this weekend. Hopefully I'll have about $30 by the time Saturday afternoon rolls around! : I did throw away alot of things too. I can see the floor!!

I get to pick up my bridesmaid dress tonight! It FINALLY came in to the store. But I still haven't gotten a bill yet...that's wierd. Maybe they don't send one because it's 12 months at 0%...

I get to work overtime this Saturday AND get paid milage. (And Bob is working Saturday, which means overtime for him too! First time in 3 weeks for him!) I'm so excited to have cash in my pocket. Is anyone else like me and they use their debit card so much that they never have cash on them? Now that my bank has a points program for anytime that you sign for something, I really never have cash on me...I'd rather get points for the freebies!

All the extra cash is going towards my T-shirt fund for the many T-shirts I still have to make...which is fine, I still have 158 days to go before my trip!

I hadn't heard of it either. Merriam-Webster says the definitions are British. So maybe Theresa's family picked it up somewhere? Her definition was right on!
