The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 6

I got one for ya'll! It's more cute than anything!
My mom and I took my nephew to church once, he had to be maybe 6 at the time? It was a day that both the priest and deacon were officiating. The deacon was getting blessed to hand out communion. Nick was watching the priest bless the deacon (mind you no music was playing or anything) and Nick blurts out "Is he praying for hair Grandma?" Our deacon is balding.
You could even see the deacon trying not to grin. :)

What a bummer!!!! To be so close to meeting a DDA'er, and yet not meet her! Oh well, we'll meet up someday! That's a definite promise! Now that I know you come to DL every so often, we'll meet up!
:thumbsup2

Definitely. We try to get out there at least twice a year. Usually, at least one of those trips isn't planned around any holidays or certain dates so we can be flexible to go when friends or my happen to be there too. (Both of my sister's in-laws live in the LA/Orange County area as well...a little odd since all three of us grew up in the Midwest.)

UP - I sent you an email with the brochure. Did you get it? Did it turn out ok? I've never sent one of those before.

Kristin - Were you the one who was making the characters with their names? Do you have them all in a gallery somewhere? We bought Terra some shirts last night to make pajama shirts to go with the new pajama pants we got. I was thinking on of those would be a good choice for one but couldn't find them in my limited patience with search.
where did you get your shirts and bottoms. Olivia needs new summer PJ's and your right those designs would be great.

Heidi - I'm so sorry for your loss. It is good to see you posting again! We love it when people come back to the "dark side."

Thank you.

Hehe the dark side huh? I don't wanna get in trouble. :rolleyes1

Just got home. Haven't read anything, and I'm cooking dinner. I'll catch up later, but I wanted to let you know Rees did very well today. He was great at the hospital for all the exam, questions, etc. He got extremely upset when we went to the Lab for bloodwork. The anesthesiologist was so nice. She is ordering a huge dose of Versed (happy juice) first thing when we arrive Friday am. Since he is refluxing again, he will have to be put to sleep with an IV instead of gas. She knew that would upset him a ton, so they'll have him loopy before they try it.

Thanks for all the prayers today. I really appreciate it.

Guess what?!!! Lynn, Julia, and I are having an Atlanta DDA meet tomorrow night for dinner! We're eating at the Cheesecake Factory. Yummy! I'll take my camera and post pictures.

Denise - I don't know if it will help or if you'll just need to have Rees try out the stroller, but here's what I measured...

The seat is 8" deep.
The distance from the seat to the footrest is 10".
Terra's legs from the top of the hip to the floor are 20" long and he legs are almost "too short" for it if that makes sense.

Here is the site of another DISer whom I had asked about her Triumph. She said that he is about 43" and 42lbs. There are a few pictures of him in the stroller in her trip report on the site. It might help give you and idea of how Rees would fit.

I bought the lightweight bottoms that Children's Place has on clearance. Then we bought coordinating color t-shirts, in a size 6-8 do that they are a little big, at AC Moore. Terra has about 15 designs picked out for the 3 shirts! We need to do a little narrowing own I think.

Speaking of which, what did you decide to do on your last morning in Sept.?

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! That is how I have lost the 38.5 pounds. I know you could do 20 pounds in 6 weeks on it. It is like having a personal chef, although he doesn't make everything the way I would. ;)

Ask any questions you might have.

Which plan are you on, Elin? I was thinking the Over 40 Weekends off (even though we're 37, our metabolism has slowed down).
