Now, the older boys:

As you see, Nick is still in the swing, and he recruited Jennifer's Kyle to push him for quite a while. Kyle was a very good sport!

Steve was the master griller of the evening. His cheeseburgers were delicious and though he was confused why Julie wanted a burned hot dog, he still obliged.

fordismastergriller.jpg

Kate and Steve are big Cincinnati Reds baseball fans, and they acquired some of the infamous "red" seats when Cincinnati built a new stadium. Julie's DH, Dave got to soak in the action (the kids running around like maniacs) from these seats.

And here's Kevin eating a Curly Wurly. Apparently Kate recently purchased $35 worth for a friend we all know and love. Please also note that Kevin was not informed all the guys were wearing green.

Still more to come,
Amy :)
Looks like fun. Glad to hear everyone had a good time. :)

Letting Kevin do it!!

(Hi Kevin!! :wave2: )

He did more than his share today. :goodvibes

Considering how little I'll be lifting during the big move in a couple months, cleaning the grout is the least I can do. ;)

Which would be easier on this poor, sore pregnant woman? :teeth:

Having Kevin do it!

ETA: I swear I didn't read Kate's post before posting this!!!!!

Put bleach in a spray bottle and spray it on. Let stand, then rinse. Much easier on your back, and disinfects, too.

I'm referring to the floor tile in the bathroom, so I'll still have to bend/squat. :teeth:

Thanks everyone for all your input!
Amy :)

I actually have no pictures of the "older" girls. Of course, you already know how beautiful the four of us are, so no pictures are necessary. :teeth:

But, here are the younger girls:

Miss Julia

Miss Carli

Miss Alyssa

And this is what happens when the three girls spend a few minutes alone in Julia's room. Of course, we made them pose in front of Kate's front door!

That's all I have. I don't think Kate or Julie took any pictures, but I know Jennifer had her camera. She may post some later! :goodvibes

Amy :)
Love the last one, too cute.

I've got 9 pages to read and I'm not sure if I'll have time. I just finished the Anniversary Cakes. I am no Betty Crocker, but I think they came out pretty good for a girl that has no cake decorating talent.

Do you think this is fancy enough for a 40th party. We are only serving cake, Ice Cream and soda/juice so I want this to look great.

Deb

Wow Deb! Those are beautiful. Definitely fancy enough. You did a fantastic job, but we knew you would!

I was going to ask the Geek Squad guy if I could take a photo of him (with his cute little uniform) but then I decided he would think I am crazy!

Kristine

Kool! :goodvibes :goodvibes Did you find out how to copy the tv shows onto dvds????

Hello DDA!

I was going to try and read to catch up but my post it note says I left off on page 1622! No freaking way I can read all that!OY!

I am so bushed tonight.Started out the day with my mother giving me a PITA. :guilty: She's doing it again right now.She has to wear Depends at night and it's an absolute BATTLE every night to get her to get them on ....and keep them on!! :sad2: siiiiiiiiiiigh.

It was beautiful here today so we worked in the yard most of the day.I cleaned flower beds and transplanted stuff.I finally have gotten to the point the past couple years that I have so many perennials that I don't have to buy much else.

Then our dog Rex was a muddy, matted mess from the rain we had last week so I trimmed him. :dog2:

I am so tired, read a few pages then gave up.I like seeing all the pictures.Kids and doggys are so cute!

Deb.... your cakes look great!!

Amy....I've just seen the pictures of the DHs....Kevin the rebel in beige!!! :p

I'm going to hunt around and see if I can find more pictures but don't have the energy to read anymore! And the DIS is runnning soooooooooo slllllooooowwww....it's driving me nuts! Not a far ride at this point in my day!!! :teeth:

Oh I watched HSM the other night. It was so cute! The main couple are so adorable.I liked there was no kissy face stuff in it.I couldn't get Erich or Joe to watch it with me though. I think Erich would like the music if he gave it a chance...he's 12 though and full of attitude somedays...grrrrrrr!!! :furious: OY!!

C'ya all this week!

Baloo. I can empathize with you on the Depends thing. My Grandmother lived with us for 18 months before she passed away and she needed Depends at night. First we would battle to get them on then to keep them on. We also had to use protective sheets on the bed. After a while she needed them all the time, but would refuse to change them unless she had peed alot. I found it so gross, but she thought it was wasteful not the use them to their fullest potential :sad2: I had a really hard time dealing with it. I'm here if you need someone to commisserate with.

ETA: How is Phil doing has he been to the dr. yet for help?

Phil is doing pretty well. Thank you for asking. We are currently waiting for his next appointment to hear the results on the whole mess of bloodwork they did a couple of weeks ago. Plus, last week he had an MRI done on his spleen and liver to see if they are more enlarged than in the past. I didn't go with him to the doctor, but he gets the feeling that she believes that there is some underlying lymphoma or something along those lines. I guess when she sent him from blood work she said something like "let's make sure your counts are still okay" like she expects that they won't be sometime. I'm not sure what is to come, but at least we are back with a doctor whom we trust to figure out what is going on.

Psychologically he is doing better as well. The doctor put him on the same medication he took about 4 years ago right before all of the health issues started. Within 3 days he started bruising again - the first symptom that put us on this course. He quit taking the meds then and hasn't started anything new. In an odd way, he is doing better on that front because he has found a new issue to worry about in the world. It seems that for once his pessimism (sp?) is helping.

Thanks again for thinking of us.

My product recommendation of the day: Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser! :thumbsup2

Amy :)

I agree, wish they sold them by the case. They amaze me for cleaning nasty water stains off our bathtubs. They work wonders on walls, shoes, floors, shoes, need I go on.

I know we want to see the parade and fireworks. Is the first or second better for some reason? :confused3

The second parade is generally much less crowded. Plus, it is easier to do rides and other things while the masses are at the first parade. For MVMCP it worked out wonderfully for us to watch the fireworks, then head to Frontierland to get a great spot for the parade.

Is it animal cruelty if I shave our black lab tomorrow? :rotfl:

She's losing her winter coat, and I swear I've brushed several small dogs off her this weekend.

Hey Y'all!!!

I'd like to say I have been reading and catching up, but that would be a LIE!! I have been super busy with the kids and now that the weather is nice, we live outdoors! The kids even got in to pool this week!! Too Cold for me, but they loved it!

Just wanted to pop in and say hello! Was thinking about you, since the Queen had me out looking for tie-dye Crocs for the DDA trip in May! She hoped I'd be able to find a size she needed here!

I'll try to Pop in a little more often, but no promises! Just know I think of you often and Kate keeps me updated!!

 Nancy
