Of course I still want them! Send them and I'm hoping to get some from Cincy as well! Let's take bets as to which ones I get first!

Oh no, you're back on at 4:20am! Are the chest pains keeping you awake?!?! I'd call the doctor back today!

African or European?

The average cruising airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour.

Now spill ;)

oogle is my friend: http://www.style.org/unladenswallow/

I can't believe I actually found that :lmao: :lmao:

ETA: Yeah so I read on and saw that it was a monty python reference... Doh! But I still think you should spill as I did answer the question   :rotfl:

Aww, and here i Thought ONE other person got the reference without cheating! Although I was not surprised when I thought it was you :)

Paula, I got you right away! You should tell me your secret first!

Marti posted this at 11:20 last night and when I looked at her post count just now as I was reading it it says... 2023. This does not bode well for me trying to catch up this morning... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That is right where I started reading too and I had the same thought! That's when I noticed the 20 pages I had to read.

She'll be back in 15 minutes give or take...

You funny lady!!!
DH likes it when I sit and watch tv with him. If I had a wireless system it would work out for both of us.

Ok, I know I can just edit my previous post, but there's a milestone coming up that we need to get to before I leave for Detroit for Easter!

OK: So that Preschooler thing is just a marketing tool. Basically, all you're getting extra is a pamphlet about "what to do with your preschooler" and "how to do parent swap" and "suggestions to keep them occupied" and "what rides to go on" type thing. Exact same price for free dining or free dining prescooler package.

Ok. Back to work! (But that was work! :teeth: )

Aww man! Shucks! I was hoping for at least something out of the whole promo. (Thought the graphic is cute.) I was already disappointed by the "Preschoolers Guide" they came out with earlier in the year. No this too. :(

I just spent the last hour in the basement listening to our tornado warning siren. I am so scared of storms, when I was younger our home was destroyed by a tornado & that put a fear in me I will never forget.

My oldest ds is spending the night with a friend. I called to make sure he was ok, as we were talking the sirens went off & we were disconnected. I was in panic mode! Garrett called me back in tears wanting to know if I was ok. This broke my heart, it was so hard to hold back the tears. My baby was so scared & worried about me.

Anyway I think everything will be ok now, my heart can slow down. I don't mean to sound so dramatic, but this is a big fear for me. The worst is dh was outside with the video camera, what was he thinking :scared1:

Hope everyone else that was in or is in the path of this storm is ok.

Glad you and your family are ok.

DH and his family lost a house due to fire at 2 a.m. when he was a tween, we check the stove and all electrics twice before we leave the house and go to bed.
The fire was started by his uncle who fell asleep smoking, be we still check anything that can start a fire.

I can't believe we're nearly at another milestone!! I am soo sticking around today... DH wants me to clear out the loft (attic) I may have to take the laptop with me! :rolleyes1:

You should stick around! They're fun.

I'm having to make excuses to stay too, as this is my favorite milestone! :thumbsup2

Uhh... we watched Constantine with Keanu Reeves and then I played with the turtle for 15 minutes!

BTW, you know how a turtle hides in his shell (for all the other DDAers who weren't in on our little joke)... well let's just say I call DH the turtle... rub the shell to come out and play!

Ewwwww!! :rotfl:

I was laughing hysterically and Chuck asked me why. This is just too funny! I'll never be able to look at our real turtle again in the same way!!!!

Me too! I've never actually been around for a milestone, I don't think, so I wanted to stick around for a "big" one.

I know what it is...I've avoided it on purpose (no offense Clare!). Not my kind of humor...I don't care for the Airplane or Naked Gun movies either. :teeth:

Amy :)

I've avoided them for the same reason but I'm hearing more & more references to it the last couple of years. I've been told I really should watch it too. I bought it on DVD for DH thinking that I would watch it. That was two years ago and I still haven't watched it.

It's HILARIOUS! I'll give you that it's definitely a certain kind of humor..... not everyone finds it funny, but I still laugh out loud -- after probably hundreds of times seeing it!

But I have to stay amused somehow -- Skunka is in bed snoring...

Great - this is my 2,000 post and my husband is going to read it tomorrow and say "all you came up with for you 2,000 post is I'm in bed snoring..."

I have such a lame life....

Congrats on 2000 Marti. I just had to quote you so that everyone would get another chance to read that Skunka was in bed snoring!!!! :rotfl:
