We're back to POR again- DH loved it there. We never get a car- DH has a 70 mile commute (1 way) each day so when we are on vacation, he does not want to drive! :rotfl:

We never rent a car either...I also do so much driving with work....

I have become attached to the monorail.

I am having a very proud mom moment. Kyle is in Cub scouts and tonight was the pine-wood derby. Out of over 60 kids Kyle won :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc !!!
I am SO excited for him, and he was SO excited that he was shaking!!! This means SO much to him, he has such a hard time fitting into things because of his disability!!! In the final round all of the cub scouts in his den were chanting "Kyle -Kyle- Kyle" he was SO excited and proud of himself!!! I could not be any prouder!!! He is still walking around on :cloud9:!!!!

That is great for him and you and makes it extra special when everyone is rooting for him!!!

We stayed at POR in Oct. and we really enjoyed it. It was alot of walking though!!!

We were at POR in October too!! We were in Oak Manor so it was pretty close to the bridge leading back to the main building.

I guess I am just used to walking. At the GF we were in one of the outer buildings (The Sugar Loaf, maybe :confused3 ) so that was quite a walk to the monorail. At the Beach club, we were in a corner room as far away from the lobby as you could get!

I think that we will really enjoy it too. Whenever we go on vacation anywhere else we just like to drive around and explore a little, at Disney I feel like I see nothing. I don't have the slightest idea of how to get to anywhere in Disney (that's not saying much though because I never pay attention to where I am going when I'm not driving). I will love not having to wait for buses either!!!

Now if only I could find cheap airfare, when do they start going lower-or do they for December???

:rotfl2: Don't know that it ever goes low!!

Kristine-

I absolutely loved itthe polynesian!!! It is hands down my most favorite hotel (not that I have stayed at all of them-JMO)!!! We stayed at the Contemporary a year later and I was so disappointed, I just kept comparing it to the Poly!!! You will love it, I love feeling like I am on two vacations at once beach/WDW. I think it is very relaxing, you will also love the pools. We did not stay in concierge but I loved the location of our building, it was Raratonga, it was very centrally located!! I am getting excited just talking about it-can you tell???

Jennifer

Hope to see you around more.

So did you have a disney honeymoon?? I remember it was SO hot that day and it rained briefly right before our ceremony (which I'm told is good luck). We did have an awful storm the next day but we were already gone on our honeymoon (not at Disney, we hadn't caught the bug yet-I wish we had now though).

We also believe it is good luck to have rain on your wedding day as long as it doesn't rain on the bride!!! :goodvibes

Hi Steffy! You are chipper tonight!!!!!!! I love it!

Yes, I'm laid up. My achielles tendon is inflamed and I'm in a brace and on steriods. I think I may be the first person to ever lose weight on steriods, but my muscles are so swollen I'm losing a otn of water weight....

I'm soooooo glad I bought this laptop. I can dis in my living room. So I'm having my little posting party........ :goodvibes :goodvibes

Admittedly, I am thousands of posts behind due to work burying me under. I hit the ground running in January and haven't had time to look back, or log back on! While I'm between customer events and marketing communications tactics for five minutes, DBF and I are sneaking off to WDW next Tues for a few nights of fun and a 3-night DCL. Can't wait!! It's been over a year since we were on the cruise and we're both in withdrawal.

Please tell me more about the DDA trip in May.

It looks like the dates are May 18 -21. What's funny is that a friend of mine on the DIS Weddings board (Jonette A) is getting married in the morning on May 18 at Epcot in the UK Rose Garden. Too bad you guys aren't coming in on the 17th so we could take her to Pleasure Island.

I'm not sure if I can go to the wedding. I supposedly have a customer event to plan for May 18 here in Dallas. Drat! But if I can get out of it, I could meet you guys.

Details, please!

Jennifer

Thats the problem, I have become so attatched to the monorail that I hate waiting for the busses. We have to dedicate at least 1 hour or more every trip to just riding the monorail w/ ds. I think that the Monorail is one of his most favorite things!!!

We must be on the same wave length or something!!! We stayed in Alligator Bayou 10/1-10/8, building 16 I beleive.

Don't tell me that!!!

Kristine and I have been watching for weeks! I finally bought mine at $262 (after fees) but we are flying out the Sunday after Thanksgiving. AA has some for $184(pre fees) from Chicago right now for the early part of December.

My only advice is find a flight you want, monitor it frequently and keep an eye on the available seats. The more seats sold, the higher the price will go!

Too funny!! We were there at the end of the month 10/25 to 11/1. We were in Washington DC when you were there...

I found a place right down the street from us that has classes once a week for preschoolers - 8 week sessions are $135

there are no competitions or uniforms - definately a better option!!

and now we can get her whatever color uniform she wants!!!!!

That sounds like a way better way to start out and see if she wants to continue with it. :thumbsup2
