I just showed my kids our elves. Alyssa's eyes got so big when it first started. They were cracking up. Thanks Tia.

Terra just saw ours too. She couldn't recognize us at first, but when she did she laughed hysterically!

I am down the shore with my grandparents. One of the women from hospice was here when i got here and you guys were right, she is wonderful..Seems like a great lady! She ordered a hospital bed and wheelchair and they are being delivered right now. She also got him some medicine that will help keep him comfortable.

I found out today that they are pretty sure the cancer has spread throughout the bone and to the brain. He is deteriorating very quickly and the change from just the last few days in amazing. He is slurring his words and its very hard to see him so i had to escape to the computer for a few minutes.

I wont be staying the night, so ill be home in a little bit-no plans tonight so im sure ill be posting a ton!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I'm glad that he has the hospice nurses to help him stay comfortable. You are all in our throughts and prayers. :grouphug:

I made DS go to the grocery store with me, which he hates. They had Sara Lee pies B1,G1 so I bought 2. WHY is it that nobody told me the stupid things have to bake for over an HOUR?:scared1: I figured it would be "thaw and slice"! Nope. BAKE, not THAW.:sad2: My pie has 41 minutes left to go. Then I have to figure out how to cool it for another 2 hours without Arabella jumping in the middle of it. (That's when she did to my Halloween cookies. We had one with a perfect Arabella footprint in the center.) I should have just bought a pie at Sam's and been done with it!

Well, despite the pie being WAY more labor intensive than I bargained for it is out of the oven and cool now. I forgot to turn it while it was baking, though, so it might be "uneven". The kitchen is so NOT my domain.

So we have had the discussion before about us not having a Dunkin' Donuts anywhere around. I had never tasted their coffee before. I bought a bag of the coffee at Target because I had a coupon. We ran out of Starbucks, so DH has been using the Dunkin' coffee and I never even noticed. It's pretty good!

:headache: It's a good thing I haven't done any shopping. DS just announced that he would rather have Star Wars Legos for Christmas instead of the iCoaster. Hmm. OK. So now I am not sure if I should get him an iPod or not. I guess he would enjoy the iPod regardless.

DH will be at Sam's when they open on Black Friday but I don't know if they will have anything good on sale. That's the route he is assigned to next week, so he will actually be there way BEFORE they open. I can text and get a preview of their ad, but I don't want their ad in a text message! Hopefully someone will text and post the reply on the Budget board.

Update on Rees...

Brantley-Kate and Davis are here, and they all three are playing GameCube. BK is feeling much better. It's so nice to see them after over a week. But the best news is...

We're going home tomorrow!!!! The surgeon came by and said we'd stay tonight to make sure he tolerates the 60cc per hour, and then we are OUT OF HERE! Rees will have been in the hospital for 18 days out of the last 25 days. It's been a long month. I am so happy and ready to be home as a family. I don't think we will have ever had a more meaningful Thanksgiving, except perhaps when the year they were born and came home from the NICU.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for EVERYTHING you have done the past month to support us.

:yay: So happy to hear Ree's is able to go home!

I received my other exchange today! I got a cute little Christmas Disney tin with chocolate kisses in it, a gold Mickey head ornament, & a very nice Tinkerbell glass ornament. Thank you so much Becky, I love it all!

That's what we drink here. BJ's sells a large bag.

so what is everyone up to tonight

I need to get Emma packed for a roadtrip. She is headed to upstate New York with Eric's dad. Eric's sister and her crew are visiting his family. Eric's dad is going up there to see the baby and asked if Emma wanted to come along. She is very excited to see her cousin Alex and meet his new sister. It's been a year and half since she has seen Alex.

so what is everyone up to tonight

Not too much here. Rachel and a friend are babysitting at Kristi's. Terra had asked for pizza, but I don't have the ingredients so maybe we'll be ordering tonight. Plus, Dad's going to be asking where dinner is pretty soon. :rolleyes1 I'm tired, though, from the craft fair today so I'm not up for too much. I think that Phil is going to see a friend from work perform at some coffee house.

Oh yeah, and I'm finalizing our possible May plans as our 180 days started a few days ago and I also now have the rest of my TGM best days.

I sent our ornament exchanges today so hopefully everyone should have them soon. Janet, I also sent the clings.
