I'm glad your sister was able to bring another pet into her life & taking a pet from a rescue is wonderful. Dora will get the love & attention she needs now :goodvibes

I was just showing the pic to my sisters, they loved it.

I must say that a year ago my one sister had to put her dog down. She just brought home a rescue yesterday. A Chug. Part Chihuahua and Pug and she named her Dora. She is just the cutest thing and already is making her place in Debi's heart. I am so happy for her because that was the hardest thing she had to do.

The ornament is beautiful. :goodvibes Congratulations on all your wonderful purchases. Someday I will own a big screen tv. :)

Tammi - I know your not still waiting for a stir fry sauce recipe, but I wanted to share mine! (At least I hope you're still not waiting if it was for dinner last night!)

1/4 cup italian dressing
2 T soy sauce
2 T honey
1/4 t. ginger
Mix well and toss with meat/veggies at the end of the cooking.

Doesn't sound good with the italian dressing, but it ended up delish and it's now the only thing that I make anymore for stir fry.

Morning DDA!

My exchange went out last night! WHOO HOO! Got the first bill for the mortgage payment! (That really doesn't need a whoo hoo, I was just excited that we got it. It's real now. Real scary!!)

OK, it must still be too early for me to be up. Off to go have my coffee and get ready for work. Have a great day everyone!!!

Ok people don't have a heart attack. Yes I was up at 6 AM  We have our teacher's conference for Hunter at 7:20 AM. I guess I'll have plenty of morning to get things done :thumbsup2

Update on Rees:

November 13, 2007 at 11:02 PM EST
Rees had a good day! He did vomit up some pudding this am, but everything else today was fine. For dinner he even had a few bites of very smooth mashed potatoes.

We had several visitors today, but the best was seeing John/Daddy after 4 days! We went for a long walk with the wagon, Rees played Cars on the PS2 in the room, played with Daddy, and we got to eat dinner together. It was so nice. My mom is here, and Brantley-Kate and Davis sounded like they were having a great time.

Tomorrow, the child life specialist will explain the g-tube to Rees. He started the IV total nutritional feeds tonight, and is tolerating them without any problems.

I'll update in the am. Good night.

Good morning, DDA!

Jen - Feel better soon!

Janet - My cats are still chasing each other and hissing! We have had Arabella for 6 months and they never cuddle with each other. I'm glad Mia has settled in so well!:goodvibes

Terry - That dog sounds adorable!

Denise - I hope Rees continues to be able to keep his food down! :wizard:

Deb - Your new TV looks great! And the ornament from Lindsay is great! I might have to look for one of those next month.

Vicki - YAY for DVC!

Tammi I was able to get the Disney lights. I bought 2 sets of Mickey & Minnie for you. I was going to get 2 of these as well for myself, but I could not resist the lights with Pooh & Tigger, so I bought one of each for us. They also had the small stockings on sale BIGI. I got myself Tink, Garrett Pooh, & Riley & Gary Mickey. These are the perfect size to put a gift card in for the boys.

I also stopped at $Tree & got the rest of the stuff for the wreath(Thanks again for the Idea Anne Marie!)& some small ornaments for the tree. I am still on the look out for miniature Disney ornaments, but at least I have something. With the clings that Tia bought I think I am all set for decorating our room :thumbsup2

Very cool all around! It should look quite Christmasy. Did I read right that you want the 2 Tink and 2 Mickey clings? No to the 2 Princesses and 1 Pooh, right? Let me know and I'll send them out. Now to just figure out how to best send them...

Deb -- congrats to Nick on his award. Good luck with the conference today.

Denise -- sending tons of prayers and PD to Rees and to you!

Jen -- I hope you feel better!

We are having a cool front come through here today -- we'll drop to the mid-60s. :rotfl: It's been quiet warm the last few days so I'm glad.

Have a good day, DDA! :)

Good morning, DDA! Lots of fun posts last night. Those bracelets and ornaments are so cute!

We had a great time at the zoo yesterday. The kids got along soo well! Terra and Danae talked and played constantly. Then when they both started getting tired, Terra would hold Danae in her lap in the stroller. I was pretty impressed considering my oft anti-social daughter. Michael looked great and seemed to have a good time. Until he started getting a little tired and sore at the end you'd never guess he just had surgery a few days ago.

Not much on the agenda today. I've got to start working on clearing out the dining room for Thanksgiving so I guess that's where I'll be. There is also the mountain of books in the playroom to put away. Okay, molehill of books, but still. We unpacked Terra's last 3 book boxes the other day. She even helped me sort through them and we have about half of them to pass on to Kassie and Connor or donate. Of course, the keepers have been in the floor since then, but it has encouraged a lot of reading so who am I to argue. ;)

Tia I will take the 2 Tinks, 2 Mickey's, & the Pooh. I will share with my sil, thank you! Let me know what I owe you.

I have a Canon Powershot SD400 digital elph. It is a 5.0mp camera that easily fits in my pocket. 3x optical. I usually print photos at home and they are so so. I had Kodakgallery print my last batch and was amazed by the clarity and vibrant color. The photos are much nicer than I expected from such a small size camera. I wish that it had image stabilization, but other than that I am very pleased with it :thumbsup2 I really don't think you can go wrong with a Canon.
