The news on my FIL is worse than we first heard. He has 3 blocked arteries and a bad valve. That has caused his kidney to have problems. They will have to do open heart surgery but can't now because of the kidneys. Chuck is heading over there tonight and the girls and I will head over tomorrow to see him.

So sorry. Lots of prayers for your FIL!

congrats Tammi on the milestone

Congrats!:)

Those of you going to MVMCP, are you making shirts? What design are you using? I been skimming them but haven't found any that really jump out me.

Nope. I would need 5, and the last time I did that it was expensive. That's becasue I am a weenie and had them done at the mall. I looked at some on Disney Shopping but I didn't really like them. Last year it was too cold to show my shirt anyway! I bought a cute sweatshirt last year (that I can still find, unlike my Halloween one) so I'll probably bring that. If it is warm enough I have 3 long sleeve X-Mas T's I can wear.

I am so sorry! I hope things improve and that the Dr's can come up with a plan!:wizard:

One of my top front teeth has completely calcified. The doctor said that essentially my body did it's own root canal and that there is nothing that he can to about it. Other than the discoloration he says that it is perfectly ok :confused3

I hope you feel better soon.

I had a root canal on one of my front teeth---it is a big discolored which i hate! but alot of people said they dont notice..very strange

A few pictures from Halloween and a Halloween fair we went to Sunday. The kids really loved the ponies!

Vicki - I'm so sorry. Prayers and good thought for you all.

DH's parents are here, and the kids were so excited to see them. We told Rees he was having surgery. He took it much better than I expected, cried a little, asked how long he'd be gone, and said he would miss his friends at school. I'm sure when we arrive at the hospital tomorrow, he will be stressed. DS and DD were upset too, and we said we would bring them to the hospital to see Rees this weekend. And of course we promised to take them back to the airport after Rees was discharged.

We will be leaving here around 6:15am to go to the hospital. If we talk to the surgeon beforehand and find out any more details, I will post here. Thank you all so much for the prayers. DH and I both are quite nervous and stressed tonight, as expected.

A friend of ours sent me this message in July when this all started. I told him then how much this touched me. I have saved it and feel it very apropos to end my post tonight.

"I'll be praying for y'all and for God's merciful hand of healing and comfort. He is a good God.

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

Hold on to your faith."

Tonight, I'm holding on to it with all my strength.

Denise-that is one of my favorite praise songs. I will be singing and praying that tomorrow...Bless you and hold on!!!

I'm running on fumes...hoping to catch up on sleep tonight! :thumbsup2

We had a great time trick-or-treating! Poor Kevin was so misunderstood. Only a couple people realized he was Lumiere...one lady called him a crazy chicken!

Yes ma'am!! I have written (and published) short stories, poems and children's stories (these haven't been published)but I've always said there is a novel stuck in my head...this really was the inspiration I needed. I work best with a deadline and that is a deadline!!:rotfl:

Good luck with the Novel. Where might we find the published short stories?

I saw this months ago, but it seems quite pricey to me. I could ship that much stuff each year for less than they are charging. I'm sure that it is a good idea for some people though.

 :wizard: That they get the kidneys functioning quickly and get the heart repaired. Safe travels for you all.

No one ever mentions the discoloration in my tooth either, but I sure notice it. Someday I would love to have it fixed somehow.

Give Rees a big hug for us. We will all be praying for him tomorrow. Please update us as soon as you can.

I hope you get some sleep soon. I love the photos and the costumes. Kevin is a good sport. I was impressed the Chris was willing to take them trick or treating without me, but no costume for him.

The hot water heater broke at the restaurant sometime today. We opened, hoping that it would be quickly fixed, but no such luck. We ended up closing around 7:30 as we ran out of dishes to serve on. I ended up getting home just after 8:30PM which was a pleasant surprise. It was slow anyway so it wasn't such a loss. I did start sorting through trip photos to pick some to print. I plan to finish up later tonight or tomorrow. :thumbsup2

LOL, Kevin loves dressing up way more than I do! You have to remember, he's the one who found the original t-shirt thread. :rotfl:

He's the MC at our local costume party after trick-or-treating, so he loves being in character. Of course, the mayor was joking that it was a good thing Kevin didn't run Tuesday night's council meeting in that costume! ;)

Elin - where did you all end up eating last night?

I actually came home since they drove out to Central Park to Ruby Tuesdays. I figured by the time I drove out there, ate and drove home it would be after 11:00 and with an 8:00 appointment this a.m. that was not such a good idea. So I ate at home!

Any thoughts on someplace fun to eat on a Girls Night Out? I will have ot think about it too.
