Good morning everyone. :)

I have taken ya as close to the milestone as I can. Your on your own now.

Jennifer - :grouphug:

Kelli - good to see you! That pillow is adorable.

Thanks to you all for the advice and opinions. I'm still just as confused as ever. I think I need to talk to him more about times that he would want them Christmas Eve/Day. I would be willing to let him have them Christmas Eve for dinner and Mass, as long as they are home by 9. Then I'd be willing to give them to him Christmas Day at 1 if I can have them home around 5:30. Then we could have our Christmas dinner around 6. That sounds like we would all get something that we want. I know what you all are saying about them getting older and it being more about family time together instead of just gifts. That is what got me thinking about this whole agreement thing to begin with. Thanks again.

ETA: And yes, I do have to be locked into some type of arrangement. It can't be left up to chance. However, we can deviate from whatever arrangement we choose, like if one of us wants to go out of town or something, with agreement from the other party. This sucks. Ok, I'm done talking about it.

I'm not adding anything to the mix -- you've gotten good advice. I'm sorry you have to go through this and hope you have peace with your decision and that exh2b continues to cooperate.

fighting the sickies

It was good to see the update on Aiden.

Elin -- sounds like great plans for Christmas!

Andrew's next-to-last soccer practice was last night. It was cold and muddy! Tonight is basketball practice for both boys and I need to get to wrapping gifts to my co-workers and their kids as our party is next Monday.

Have a good day DDA!

So with the bounce back deal going on, I'm trying to plan ahead, and at least have another vacation in the planning stages. I'm thinking of booking a Fri and Sat. night in July or August, and then booking on DVC points Sun through Thurs around that. I hate using so many points for weekends, and with a 40% off, I should get a good deal. Anyway, has anyone heard any rumors about whether or not they will offer free dining again in August? Can I take advantage of that if I'm staying on points?

Finally all caught up and there's no one around to play with! Sorry I've been MIA since Thanksgiving. We've been on the go since then.

Thanksgiving was really nice, once we finally got to eat! Alan got off work early (6:00) so we ended up eating around 7:00 which was an hour earlier than we had anticipated! The kids enjoyed being with their cousins, and the adults planned a Black Friday strategy. We were home by 10:00, and I was in bed shortly after that.

3:00 came early, but I got myself up and dressed. I dragged Alan out of bed by 3:30, and we were on our way to Walmart by 4:00. We managed to get most of what we wanted while there. We were in and out within 35 minutes. Next stop: Sears. It only took us about 20 minutes there. Target was a madhouse, and everything I wanted was gone by the time we got there. Oh well, nothing important! Radio Shack was next where Alan was thrilled to get a new router for the computer for 20 dollars. I got a couple of really cool robot bugs for Jacob's stocking. Last stop was CAL Ranch, but there wasn't really anything that caught our eye. Well, Alan did find a gun safe that he liked, but I'm not about to buy him another one. It will just encourage him, right??? After shopping, we went out to breakfast. The hot chocolate and biscuits and gravy tasted wonderful! We were pleased to have knocked out so much of our Christmas shopping.

Once we got home and hid all the goodies, I took a shower while Alan got the kids ready for a day with some friends. We loaded up our car and drove an hour to meet up with the Bradfield's. Alan and Bryce have been best friends forever, and we do a lot of things with them. We ate leftovers, played games, watched movies, and Alan and Bryce took the little boys skeet shooting. It was an all around wonderful day!!!

Saturday saw us gearing up for the biggest football game in Utah! 2 rival schools that really put on a good show! This year we went to a neighbor's house for the game. We snacked on chips and dips, and turkey sandwiches while we watched a riveting game! The first 3 quarters were pretty calm, but by the middle of the 4th quarter, it was really close!!! It literally came down to the last 45 seconds of the game! Luckily, our team won by 1 point, so it was a really happy day!!! We then spent a couple of hours playing Apples to Apples. It was so much fun!!!

Sunday I spent the day at church, and practicing my violin for grandma's funeral. I haven't played in about 8 years, so it's kind of wierd. Oh well, it's kind of like riding a bike. Hopefully it will all come together. We'll see!

Today I spent the day setting up Christmas trees, and cleaning off flat surfaces for more Christmas decorations. And now I'm all caught up here and ready for bed!

Nity nite, all!

Sounds like a busy, but fun weekend :thumbsup2

It's nice to hear good news on the DDA health front. It seems that Rees and Aiden are coming along nicely. :grouphug: :grouphug: Continue for them and are going out to all of those that are going through tough times right now.

Calling all cooks. ;)

Say I want to have a small get together (about 20 people) and since its winter it needs to be inside. I don't want to serve anything to busy or heavy. Would just Hors D'Oeuvres be enough?

If so what would you serve? have any recipes?

Appitizers would be great! Another suggestion - it might not be what you'd like to do but it's worked great for me! I've done a Spagetti Bar. Sounds funny but it's the easiest thing in the world. I make different types of pasta (spagetti, macaroni, rotini) and keep it warm in heated pans (the one's with the flame underneth) and then in three crock pots I have a red sauce, a white sauce and meatballs. Serve with a big salad and voila! instant Spagetti Bar. The only problem would be seating - you do have to make sure you have plenty of places for people to sit and not spill! :rotfl:

Also - can anyone help my friend out? Here's her post (it's now on page 2 of the thread) and I hope someone can!
Hello, I was looking for a design and my Friend Chanon told me you guys are the best and my be able to help me!

My Husband is running the Disney World Marathon on 1/13/08 and I wanted to make some t-shirts for us.
I do have a few thoughts... for his shirt maybe Hercules saying something like I went the Distance Jan 13, 2008 26.2 miles

Mine then would be Megra with My Husband ran the 2008 Disney Marathon or My husband ran the distance 26.2 Miles.... The picture can have Him and her in it... I would not care. I would also like the date on it Jan 13, 2008.

I am also open to Mickey and Minnie characters.
Thank you!
I hope you can help! :flower3:

last party I made bbq mini meatballs, I put them on fancy toothpicks...they were the first to go...Not sure why. Funny part was, when I first started making them, they were so nice and "mini", an hour into it, soon they were looking like golf balls!! :lmao:

Thank you.
I am thinking your idea of mini meatballs, (in a tomato sauce) would go over better then the Swedish meatballs.

no if you are on points...too bad, huh?

Becky, nice pictures. The one of Mickey and friends on the beach, what are they?

That is Disney's version of Mt. Rushmore:thumbsup2 Actually I think they are giant fishing bobbers painted to look like Disney characters. Just a photo op on Castaway Cay.

Hey Kellie good to see you

Becky I love the new signature

Hi, Kelli!:)

Becky - love the reindeer!:rotfl:

Goodness gracious! That only means one thing..............you all have too many clothes!!!! :lmao:

Bite your tongue! NO such thing as too many clothes!

So our house guest is here...she is so sweet:goodvibes .

We took her to the grocery store so she could see what it was like.

I let her pick out oranges, a juice, ice cream and cookies. She looked up a word in her japanese/english dictionary and she called me generous. :goodvibes

I told her she couldn't all the sweets tonight:lmao:

Glad she is getting settled! How long will she be staying with you?

Isn't it a hoot? I'm gonna leave it like that till tomorrow so when people read in the morning, they'll know what I was talking about. :rotfl2:

What nice EARS you have there, Kelli!:rotfl2:

Elin Thanks for the wonderful update on Rees

Glad to hear Rees is making progress!:goodvibes

That sounds like a wonderful trip!! I haven't been to DC since I was 14, which was many years ago. I would love to visit again. There's so much in this country that I want to see. I really need to get on that!

I hope that you enjoy your Christmas at home. It's not WDW, but it might be nice and relaxing.

We were watching a thing on the Smithsonian the other night and I sort of thought about MAYBE going to DC. Sometime. Eventually.;)

Morning!!!

We are one talkative bunch.

Last year when we got "free dining" on bounce back the deal started 11/8 and ran through 12/31 for booking. This year the only free dining was offered for booking in Sept, and the only dates it was valid was for the extreme end of Aug through Sept of next year. If there is still bounce back when you arrive at WDW you should be able to get 40% off a studio - some people have said they got a 1 bedroom. I have been watching the "codes & rates" board but there have been VERY few posts about Bounce Back.:confused3

We still haven't heard a peep about vacation bids.

Princess stole my Crocs. She is stumbling around the playroom saying "MY shoes! MY shoes!" Silly girl!:)

Time to get ready for swimming.

I am not sure on the bounceback deal for free dining, but August is a good time to come!;)

Thanks Chanon. While the spaghetti bar is a good idea, they probably wouldn't like it. They would want finger food.

I know, and I'm planning on Beach Club too! You've twisted my arm. But August is a very busy time for me at work, so it may have to be June or July. :(
