:cake: party: :bday: :jumping1: Happy Birthday Deb & Steffy!!!!

All in all it was a great weekend. Now I can focus on my October WDW trip and I can start planning the 3 week WDW vacation for next summer. I will need lots of 4th of July decorations for our site and golf cart. I guess I'd better start obsessing...I mean plannning:lmao:
Loved your report and photos too! Looks like it was a lot of fun!

Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to go back. We were reading the LTD catalogue this weekend and there was an upsidedown Christmas Tree. Immediately we decided that it must have been designed by Figment :rotfl:

I can't post the photo, but here is the link:

Too funny!

Here Brandon and PawPaw are singing the "fish" song,

I started at a new property today. :thumbsup2
My new Supervisor is my old Engineer.
She took a promotion at a new property.
So when the position opened I transfered.

Ramiro is doing much better with school so far.

Looking foward to meeting a few of you all in October. :dance3:
We can't wait for Christmas at WDW. :santa:
Glad you’re feeling better. Congrats on the new job! Glad school is going well!

Sunday was another interesting day at WDW
Glad you get to go back next month!

Love all your photos! That seat looks so cool!

Bernadette - Did I miss your trip report and/or pictures? If so, do you know when you posted them so that I can go back and see them?
I have not done it yet.

If everyone could spare some prayers for us, I would appreciate it. We are leaning heavily towards moving to CA in the near future. Under the family circumstances and since we are not very tied down here, we think that it may be for the best. While it is nice being near my family, I also know that they have a better chance of being around for a lot longer. I am just praying that the right situation/timing presents itself so that we know the direction meant for us right now. As it is, it looks like Phil will be staying in CA for about a month now instead of the two weeks. I was not surprised at all though as I kind of expected it to be 3-4 weeks. Our visit will still fall pretty much in the middle though so that is good.
Good luck with those decisions!

And one last prayer request that I needed to save for last as it will make me cry again...

I have a friend Mimi from our CA playgroups. She woke up yesterday morning to find that her husband had died overnight. He was young (mid-30s) and healthy and this has come as a complete shock to us all. A cause of death is not yet known. They had been married just 2 years, though together for about 5 before that. They have a baby daughter together who is not quite a year old and he was in the process of adopting Mimi's 9yo daughter Catherine.

I can't even imagine what they are all going through right now. Doug was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. I am waiting to hear on memorial service plans on the chance that I will be there to go.

Thanks everyone.
How sad!

:guilty: I was actually thinking myself of not going next year. I will just have to wait & see :confused3

Not at all! :lmao: Really though, I think this will be my last trip to the World for at least 4-5 years. :scared1: Scary, I know! So yes, I'm excited to be going and spending it with such wonderful men and women! :grouphug:

I think up to 10 people can be used with the DDE card.

Does anyone know how many meals I can use the DDE plan on. There will be 11 of us. We can do one check, but can I get the discount for all of us? I mentioned setting up a grand gathering for us, but I don't know enough about it to give them any information so now I need to do the homework.

Mickey says HI and he is wishing you a wonderful day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Stephanie,

Knowing you for these past 18 years have been so great. We have met every challenge with strength. We have laughed, cried, and fought and won the worst and the easiest battles. You are my twin, my soul mate. It has been a blast. I am honored to be your friend. Hal is honored to be your "Hubby Too".

We could write a book on our travels, they were just too much fun.

We have offered advice the other has taken or (not) :lmao: We have been truthfull when answering that all important question 'Do I have anything in my teeth?'

Here is to the next 18 and more years of friendship.

I just got a phone call from Kathrin. Her procedure went off without a hitch and she is having very little discomfort. Seems her last PAP smear was abnormal and after a biopsy and a pulposcopy she was diagnosed with "moderate to advanced" displasia. Meaning they needed to get those cells out of the cervix and checked very carefully. She will get the report back and goes in for a follow-up in 2 weeks.

She opted to not tell me because she knew I would drop everything and go to be with her. She wanted to handle this one on her own and it seems she and Sara are doing so. I truly understand her need to be a little more independent since she has always lived close enough for us to help when she needed it. I never had that luxury so she was very careful with my feelings on this. I am happy she took the initiative!

So, now we wait. Thanks for all the good thoughts, everyone. :goodvibes:
:wizard: :grouphug: I had to have that done when I was trying to get pregnant with Lizzy.

I was searching for Disney recipes. And I found these 2 Ohana Breakfast Bread Disney's Polynesian Resort and Dinner Bread - 'Ohana For those of you who have eaten at Ohana's did you like these?
The pineapple breat at Ohana is awesome!!!!

Thus ends my first ever trip report! Thanks for tuning in!
I LOVED your trip report!!!! Hope you'll do one in November. It will be fun to see how different that trip is!

I thought I would post a couple of pictures of our costumes for MNSSHP.
WOW!!!!! You will have such a great time!

I needed to come on here tonight to talk with Disney Literate people. My family is absolutely clueless. They are planning 9 nights give or take a day depending on flights. My SIL says that they will only do the parks for 5 days. One each at MK, Epcot, AK, MGM and a day at a water park. I had to explain that water parks are not included in the basic tickets and it would be cheaper to buy a water park ticket at the window then spend the $45 to add the option if they are only going one time. I also tried to explain the dining plan...notice I said tried. They haven't been since Summer was 9 months old and that was over 7 years ago. First of all they cannot do each park in one day. They have no idea of the cost of food. I told them to go to allearsnet and check out the menus and prices and go from there. They probably won't do many table service meals so maybe the dining plan isn't for them, but they should at least consider the option. Does anyone know how many meals I can use the DDE plan on. There will be 11 of us. We can do one check, but can I get the discount for all of us? I mentioned setting up a grand gathering for us, but I don't know enough about it to give them any information so now I need to do the homework.
UGH.....They can always upgrade their passes down there after they see how much there is to do.....

I think they could eat cheaper without the meal plan. We would have paid more than we paid for the meal plan to eat the meals we did but we wouldn't have eaten the meals we did without the meal plan. I think it ties you down too much because you pretty much have to eat at exactly the same time/place you planned (have an ADR) even if you're not hungry/in the mood for that because you've prepaid for the meal plan. Also if they are not planning on going to the parks everyday and the value resorts don't have TS and they don't have a car they will find it a challenge to have all the TS meals. I suppose they could eat at DTD easily.

This lady passed right in front of me. amd I thought of Elin as I took this picture,

th_IMG_2906.jpg

L O V E it!!!! :goodvibes  Thanks for thinking of me, Debbie. And thanks for posting a picture of my very favorite fairy!

I went to Lizzy's open house tonight. Her teacher seems great. I asked her if she had Lizzy's ICAP (Individulized Cirriculum Accomodation Plan) and she said no.:headache: She said there is a new school psychologist this year but that she would be sure to go find Lizzy's plan.

I told her about our November trip and how I was thinking she'd only miss 2 days but now she'll miss 3 because they don't have the Friday off. The teacher didn't realize they don't have that day off. I bet Lizzy won't be the only one missing that day. She said she'd give Lizzy a little bit of work but would rather have Lizzy do a presentation about her trip when she got back. I told her to tell Lizzy her homework was to try new foods at the food & wine fest. :lmao:

My 5 photopass CD's came today. They put the photos into folders of 20 photos each so it took a while to get them on my PC but I did get them all on. I'll have to upload some of those and think about doing a trip report before Tom does his.:rotfl:

Elizabeth-your new computer must have a DVD drive right? I'm sure I can fit all your pictures on 1 DVD but it would take a few CDs.

Tia, my thoughts and prayers are with you today!

Robyn, the pics of the girls are fantastic! And little Lucy in that chair! I just about fell out of my chair! She looks so cute and comfy too!

All of you Oct. DDAers are sounding pretty excited about now! Wish I could make it too, but in 9 days I will be in Disney World!

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: to everyone that could use a little extra pixie dust today!

:yay: :dance3: :yay:

I don't think that the DDP is the best choice for them, but at least they know that it is available. I'm not sure that they will do character meals either because Logan is afraid of everything. We have camped at the same campground since before he was born and they have a mascot dressed in a bear costume which he has seen dozens of times and he still shakes everytime he sees him. I can only imagine how he'll react to an 8 foot mouse. We keep showing him pictures and telling him about the parks, but that probably won't erase his fear. Of course he'll be a year older then too so who knows.

Here are mine and DW's costumes. We even have the little propeller hats to go with these! No pictures of us modeling them though! I am sure that there will be plenty of pictures taken while at the party that if and when I am brave enough I will post us modeling them then!

My brother Tim is going to be the "Mad Hatter" and his wife is "supposed" to be the Queen of Hearts, but she is a little unsure of it right now! We'll see!

Outstanding job, Mr. Hancock... I mean, Tom! :thumbsup2

Elin, here's a little more PD that everything comes back just fine :wizard:

Now that I actually did the trip report I think I'll go back and copy it into word, print it on photo paper and keep it for Brandon when he gets older. I'll have to edit all my typos, (sorry Amy)

Thanks, Debbie. I am hoping this is all behind her now too.

What a great idea for the Word document! I bet he will remember much of what you all did.

Deb, I am going to start sending emails to my family to convince them to go to WDW in three years. I hope I get a good response. I have been taking notes on what sites to send them to and hope I can convince them with good numbers. I can see a lot of homework in my future
:lmao:

I bought a PassPorter for each of my siblings to use on the trip. My brother has utilized his very well. All his documents and notes are in and on the pockets and he has a pretty good idea of what to expect. My sister, on the other hand... gave her book away to someone at work that was going to WDW. Told them she didn't need it back. :confused3

OK, caught up and headed to bed. Thanks for all the good thoughts and PD and well-wishes for Kathrin (and for me ;) ). I haven't heard from her or Sara since this afternoon so I have to assume that all is well.

Have wonderful evenings, everyone.

Robyn,

Forgot to say your pictures were great.

I ended up going to the Pow Wow on Sunday because the weather was warmer. The kids really enjoyed it. They want to go back next year. Right when I got there and the Opening Ceremony was beginning, an Eagle was flying overhead. Then while all the dancing was going on at least 4 hawks were flying overhead the whole time.
This time I had the Fry Bread with apples and blueberries on it YUM:goodvibes

I did not take any pictures but I know my DS got a picture of the oldest one dancing with the other kids. It was a very nice day.

I was trying to figure what to get for them to help them get excited and hopefully ask some good questions. Something to have besides looking on the internet at the web sites.

I bought The Complete Guide to Walt Disney World by Julie and Mike Neal a few months ago. It has lots of great photos! It is about $16.50 on Amazon-about $1 more than Passporter. I do love Passporter too but a non Disney fanatic might like all the photos in the Complete Guide. Then again a fanatic might like all the photos too.;)

Maybe a guidebook would be a good idea for my family. I could add it to the t-shirts at Christmas. Maybe a kids guide for my DN. I knew you guys would give me great ideas :thumbsup2

Bernadette - It says DVD+RW, if that means anything to you!:rotfl2: I bought CDs to burn my photos to because I wasn't sure what to get. I am sure a DVD will work fine. Did you get the discs from PhotoPass yet?

I am exhausted. EvilBay wears me out. I did win some more pins, but by the time I add shipping my least expensive one was $2.22. I think we are not going to have that many traders in December.
