Well the interview is over...they said it was more of a screening interview..they asked me about 5 or 6 questions and talked ab out my student teaching and that was it...they will call if interested for a 2nd interview..whew!!

I was suppose to work today, but I am home with Riley. The school called & said he did not look to good. So we are home now & Riley is sleeping. He said his head is pounding & he is cold. I hope whatever it is goes away quickly!

Hi, all! I am so far behind that I am going to just jump right back in. I'll probably try to read backwards a bit, but I don't have much time here today. A quick re-cap of the weekend would be great!

We had a good time in Albany, and both of Laura's routines qualified for Regionals!!! That means we'll be in Hamden, CT for my birthday weekend. From there, I hope at least one routine can head to Nationals at Miami University in Oxford, OH. Sorry, Anne Marie, the decision was made to skip the Long Island meet this year. It falls on the same weekend as try-outs for Empire State Games, and there were a few other conflicts.

Matthew is finally feeling well enough to be in school. He still has a horrible, hacking cough and some congestion, but the fever is gone and he can stay upright.

Today I went to the funeral for the mother of a friend of mine. She died in her sleep last Thursday unexpectedly. It was so sad.

I am even MORE frustrated now because I left this woman 2 messages today and I have heard NOTHING. I got her last name from her voice mail on her cell phone, then I looked up her home # in the phone book. The lady who wrote it down for me transposed 2 of the numbers. We'll say that was an accident.

I hope Riley feels better soon!

okay an update on grandma.

It is not bone cancer. But they found a pretty good size mass on her liver. she had the biopsy this morning. we will have to wait a few days for the results. Continue to pray that it will not be cancer. TIA

This may sound odd, but you might be needing more iron in your diet. I have a iron deficiency & when it gets really low, chomping on ice is what I go for!

I have read that on several other threads.

I hope that you hear back soon and that the kitty is ready to be yours soon. If she is old enough to be spayed, and you have already paid, I don't know what the hold up could be!

The hold up is the foster is flaky, and we have to wait for her.

This just sounds bizarre. I hope you get kitty soon, and that you aren't being swindled.

We're not being swindled. They are a 501(c)3 and they do mobile adoptions all the time. I am SURE PetsMart would have put a stop to it if they were taking people's money AND keeping the cats, because they are operating the adoptions out of PetsMart. Apparently in the 2 years since we got Aurora TX has passed tougher laws on the shelters. They are not supposed to allow ANY animals to be adopted until they are spayed/neutered. But all of the paperwork still reads like the adoptive family is responsible for scheduling the surgery and submitting proof, which is what we did with Aurora. What really is hacking me off is the fact that they have our money and this woman has absolutely no consideration for us. We want to bring the kitty home, and we are asking for a concrete timeline. This is not rocket science. If she is SO busy then she needs to turn the cat over to us to be spayed at their expense, or they need to assign the kitty to another volunteer who has the time to do what needs to be done.

We got our P&P tickets today!!

DH is going to be working the next 26 days in a row. The other driver that shares a "swing" driver with DH is a trainer, and he is in the process of training Toad's replacement. When that guy is certified DH will have days off again.

Hope everyone is well. I'm here chugging along. I keep having issues with the board, hence the reason I am not posting.

I still know nothing about bridging the leader never got back to me. So either I ticked her off or they don't want our girls to participate. I have a feeling all they will be doing is welcoming the new Cadettes. They had the meeting last Wednesday night and she said she would let me know what they wanted us to do.

Robyn- They had Mickey fork and spoon sets at the Disney store. Not sure if they still do or not.

Nick made it through school today but came home with an awful headache and cold. He was still complaining as he went to bed tonight so we will have to see what tomorrow brings. The headache thing sounds like a new virus

I was going to say something similar! I remember that there is a reason some women crave crushed ice but I couldn't remember what it was. Thanks for the reminder, Janet... and Jennifer, I would tell the OB-GYN. I am so sorry you are still having nausea and migraines. The worst one I ever had was when I was pregnant. Not fun, and not fair, I say!

How are you feeling about all of this? I know it must be hard for you. Do you have someone you can talk to about your feelings. I mean, besides us, of course. Sometimes I forget that we all have "real" lives besides the DIS. I just wish that I could be there to help you through this.

I am always venting to friends. It's a good outlet for me, especially when xh2b does something that really ticks me off. The only thing that really upsets me anymore is when it seems like he doesn't put the kids first. Or when he says something stupid like "I'm entitled to have the kids for holidays too. It's my right." When he is the one working 12 hr. days (including commute), coming home and fixing dinner, shuttling the kids to activities, getting their homework done, bathing them and putting them to bed, and starting all over the next day, then he can talk to me about rights! Things like that are what stresses me out. But now that soccer is over and school is winding down it won't be so bad for me. But it will start all over again in the fall, with 2 in school now. Also, it's good to have Bob to talk to since he's recently been through this too. He gives me the 'guy' perspective, and since he can rationalize things without being emotional involved, sometimes he can help me to see other sides of things. Ok, vent over. Thanks for asking, Glynis.

im glad its over...i havent really felt like student teaching is over yet since i was there yesterday and i have to go back today for a field trip--hopefully after today it starts to sink in that i really have 3 days til graduation and 9 to disney ahah
