Thanks for everyone's well wishes. DH (Hal) is taking me to a baseball game tomorrow. We will ride the bike. Lancaster has a baseball team. The Barnstormers.

Here is a picture of their mascot Cylo with me when I was Tony the Tiger

Hi, Jo! Glad you all got some rain! Busch Gardens looks like fun! I love the pic of the hippo! I can never seem to get a good look at a hippo at AK, and the hippo at our zoo died back when DS was 4 and they never got another one. The hippo, giraffes and elephants are in horrible old enclosures so they won't get another hippo until they have a new habitat to put it in.

Do you ever feel like a hctib without knowing why? It's not even time for PMS yet.

I am sort of snarly and disagreeable on a regular basis.;) I would imagine we have hormone fluctuations all the time, so even if it isn't PMS you could be out of sorts. I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks! I figure at least I know how I feel and I'm not taking it out on others (yet), so that's a start.

Good morning!

I'm sorry I missed all the chatting last night, especially since Vicki and Heidi were around more than usual.

I, too, am glad it's Friday, although I have a retirement dinner to go to tonight after work, so I probably won't be home until 9:30 at the earliest. It's not one that I would have chosen to go to, more like I HAVE to. Tomorrow morning we are going to a craft fair and then in the evening we are going to an outdoor film fest. It's a movie (ET) shown outdoors on a huge blow-up screen. We'll take blankets, chairs, pillows, cooler with munchies, and watch the movie under the stars. Maybe I'll even let the kids wear their pajamas. Best of all, it's FREE! I just hope the scattered thunderstorms that they are calling for tomorrow hold off or go around us, even though we need the rain desperately.

Tammi sounds like fun & free.
When I lived in Illinois they had free movies in the park all the time.

Terry, why were you Tony the Tiger?:rotfl2:

Every year the Lancaster Recreation Commission where Stephanie and I work hosts Lancaster's New Years Eve celebration. Kelloggs is one of the sponsors and they needed someone to help unveil the logo that would go on the buttons people would wear to the celebration. When the request came for someone to wear the costume, I jumped at the chance. It was really fun and weird at the same time. I can see why the characters have a handler go with them. You lose all sense of perception .

Jo -- did you get some much-needed rain out of TS Barry? Looks like you must have! His remnants are headed this way and we ought to get soaked over the next few days too. We need the rain badly, too... but not as much as you do.

Yes yes we did.
We did have to change Sat plans to Sun.
So I hope we can get to Epcot early & no rain.

Actually I never put it on the board. It is Hal, short for Harold but since our son is Harold III, DH is called Hal, his father is called Harold and our son is called Howie. :lmao:

Well, I think it should be John....

:rotfl:

So I got Cassidy's report card today.....(let me just say I love messing with my kids head!!) I told her it's the worst report card I've seen from her.....

There were no A's on it :headache:
there were also no D's or F's either!!!:dance3:

The kid passed her math class!!!!

Whew, what a relief. That means she did much better :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I "think" it is John????? If it isn't, then someone else has our brain and they had better return it!

I have no idea :confused3

New pics of the kitties.

Aurora trying on my Crocs. (She did that herself. She had both feet in there until I got the camera.)

Arabella sleeping in my purse.

Our cat loves to lay on our shoes. He often has his feet in them. Sometimes his head

Wat that your magic carpet bag?

Love the hair cut!

thanks

How cute!

Yes they are ;)

Where to you go for Nascar? My brother is a huge fan.

We are going to the Race in Loudon, NH. We've got pit passes and the hospitality tent too :thumbsup2

When I got the kids summer clothes I didn't put out lots of T's I had bought at the Disney store on sale. They've got plenty of T's so we might as well keep these nice for the trip. I figure if I do laundry twice on our trip I will still need 4 outfits packed plus the one we wear. I've always gone with just 2 checked bags but I have also always sent a box (and sometimes 2) to the resort.

2 suitcases sounds wonderful

I get an email from Alamo for last minute deals I haven't actually checked them out to see how good they are but you may want to sign up for it. But...since they are last minute deals it may not be good for a 3 week trip.

I get them, but we're still too far out.

So it was a trick question:lmao:

I was Snow White when I was in High School. It was for the Premiere of the Movie (rerelease). There were 2 or 3 of us who shared the duties. We did meet and greets at the Movie Theater that I worked at. It was fun.

I would have jumped at the chance too! I think it would be fun. :)

Hunter received a letter in the mail today from the Principal of his school:

Dear Hunter

Enclosed with this letter is a free ticket to attend a Vermont Lake Monster game on either July 11 or August 7, 2007. Mrs. Read and I have selected two students from each grade, whom we consider Outstanding Students. If you are able to attend either Lake Monster game, you will join students who have been selected for this honor from schools all over Vermont. You will also have the opportunity to have your name announced during the game.

It has been a pleasure to work with Mrs. Read to honor students from our school who are all around good citizens. Thank you for all you bring to this school. We hope that you enjoy the show.

The Vermont Lake Monster's are our Baseball Team. We will go to the game and he will get to go out onto the field and introduce himself to all the fans. We are so Proud of him. He is very excited. Nick is a little jealous as he is also a Great Student and has had an acceptional year. Oh well, maybe next year.

Snoozing with DS's bag of stuff he pulled out of his locker.
