I have to tell you all about something that has me very excited! When we planned to go to Boston this past summer for a mini family reunion with my brother and sister and their families I reminded them that they had told me at my mother's funeral that if we all made it in June they would allow me to plan a vacation for all of us at WDW.

Well, my sister emailed me this morning asking for money amounts and a little more info. I copied my brother on my response and just got an email from him asking me to firm up a few things for him. It looks like it might actually happen! I would LOVE to be able to show them why we have been going there more than once a year for the past 12 years!
Lots of pixie dust that thing gets completely off the ground and can fly.

That's awesome news, Elin! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Oh this sounds really good, thanks Glynis! Now I need to see if I have any stuffing :)

I was amazed at how good it was! Alan had 2 chops and even the kids ate without fussing! Kind of like having dessert right with your dinner!

Just got back from the dr. and the drug store. Nicholas has strep. I sure hope it stays away from the rest of us. So he will be home tomorrow too.

Boy are my kids clueless! While at the doc I felt I had to say something to make sure all bases were covered. I told the doc that I was concerned about his congestion because we are flying soon. If they asked I was prepared to say that I was refering to when we go for Alyssa's bday. Then when we were at the drug store I was asking the pharmacist for a recommendation of a good decongestant because we were flying soon. Again, no response out of either kid. I'm glad that the secret wasn't given up, but know I'm wondering if they have all their marbles???

Oh no - :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for strong drugs, and that the sickness stays away from you and Alyssa!

And I wouldn't worry, Tammi - they're probably being like most kids and just tuning you out! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Tammi we rented a double for the last four days in February. After dragging mine on and off the bus for a few days I said to heck with that. It was so convenient to rent one at the park. We had a 5 and 6-year-old with us and my 5-year-old is not a small boy. It will make your life soo much easier to rent a double. We just had to show our reciept at the parks to get one each morning.

Also on our last day when we were exiting the park at about noon I gave my stroller and reciept to a young couple with two kids that were just entering the park as it was payed for till the end of the day. They seemed so grateful.
That's a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion!

Tammi, start right now with washing EVERYTHING he has touched, or worn in a bleach solution. Use Lysol to spray down the furniture. Even the phone. Strep just lives on and doesn't die on it's own. It must be killed, or it will re-infect. Wash clothes, sheets, towels, etc., in bleach. Get rid of his toothbrush and buy several new ones. Let him use a new one until he's been on antibiotics for a couple of days, then throw that one away and give him a new one. Keep Alyssa as "away" from him as possible!
Interesting. I didn't know that it doesn't die. Ok, off I go cleaning. I think I have some of those lysol wipes. I've got 2 loads of laundry going now, trying to get prepared for this trip.

I know I said I did not know where my wedding pics were at but I just saw this one and thought I would share.

This is the picture that ran for the newspaper announcement and it is in black and white. I did not have a typical wedding gown. My gown was pink and white and I wore a hat and not a veil. We got married in his aunts beautiful flower garden. Boy does this bring back memories.

Wow, you look like a real southern belle. Beautiful!

Tammi,
I am sure your kids have all their marbles!:rotfl2: They don't hear their moms voice all the time.:rolleyes1

I'm hoping the audience challenge poll is up soon. I want to know who made it. I guess I should get a shower in while all is quiet. Colby and Logan a quietly playing a video game which is very unusual. I need to do a quick pick up before we leave. Hopefully I can pick up groceries while the boys are at school. I have Weight Watcher's tonight :scared1:

Deb

cant wait to see when the audience challenges go up!!

Well, Nicholas just got up, no fever now, but is blowing thick yellow stuff out of his nose. Does that mean infection? Time for antibiotic? Plus he's complaining of a sore throat. I tried to look in his mouth, didn't see any white junk which indicates strep.

I was going to say that the color of nasal discharge is not a good indicator of how sick a child is. Then I got to the part where he has strep, so now you can see that nasal discharge really isn't very useful in diagnosing anything! I hope he gets better quickly! Strep usually responds to the antibiotics pretty well.

Delinda - your picture is beautiful! You have a very pretty smile. :teeth:

I agree! You remind me very much of a manager I used to have named Terri Sue.

Very cool!!! Congratulations and best of luck getting everyone on board quickly.

Elin, I hope this all works out! It sounds like a fun trip!

Well im home from school--had to stay a bit late today and im pretty wiped out...i think im just going to relax for a bit until the family comes..i am still wanting to know what DDAers make the poll for the audience challenge!

Is today over yet? I am so tired!!

I took Sister to school, picked up Dadboss's shoes from the cobbler, went to Target. I just got Brother in the cart when the housekeeper called to tell me the garage door wouldn't open, and that is how she gets in the house. Came back, let her in, went to the mall. Got new underwear for Brother & Sister (50% off the sale price!) at the Disney Store. Went to a different Target and got the things from the list. Went to the dry cleaners, brought all that stuff home. Went to the grocery store, brought the groceries home. Argued with Brother about his lunch, went to pick up Sister, came home and got both kids down for a nap. Never did make it to the li-berry today.

Anne Marie - Do you like TGM? I have waffled back and forth about subscribing. I have heard that the site isn't very user-friendly, though. I just don't know if I want to spend time sifting through. We have a pretty specific way that we tour, and we haven't ever had a huge issue with crowds. I guess part of it is that DS won't go near ToT or RnRC, and we Fast Pass things like Space Mtn. and Everest.

Flat Stanley went to school with the boys today. Hunter's teacher made copies for all the kids and they are decorating individual Stanley's to send to Jacob (I assume). Nick had a sub today so she did nothing, he didn't take pictures either. Hunter didn't take pictures either  Colby's teacher took a couple of pictures and I got one of Stanley with Chris outside his work today. It should be interesting to see what Hunter's class comes up with though she may mail it directly and I won't actually see it anyway :confused3

Jacob will be so excited!!! You are the best! Tell the boys that we are so grateful!!! I can't wait to see them!

Anne Marie & Bernadette - AllEars has reviews of H&V, and they are a mixed bag. The overwhelming response seems to be that the food is fine, but not great. Well, it's a buffet.:confused3 The biggest complaint is slow drink refills and the tables are too close together. I do remember the little boy at the next table kind of joining us when we went there.:rotfl: DS was drawing a comic and the little boy wanted to see.

BUT I also remember when we were there last August we ate dinner at 50's. We went to Fantasmic about an hour early, and we got seats without any problem. But we like to sit near the top. The CMs were directing everybody to the left, but we told DH and our friend that we would be in the Sebastian section to the right. (They had goen to ride ToT.) I told the CM our dilemma and they let us go sit in the Sebastian section. No problem.
