I just received word that SIL is out of surgery, but still unconscious and in recovery. The tumor was mostly on the surface, and they were able to remove it without any problems with speech (we knew that it was sitting on a speech center and SIL had to be partially alert during surgery so that they could make sure speech was still ok). The doctor warned that this type of tumor could reapper in 10-15 years but was very upbeat about how everything went today!!!

Okay moms I need your help what is the best way to get your kids to take meds. We just got home from the Dr and DD has a sinus infection. So now I get to fight with her to take meds tired to give her tylenol last pm for the fever and she cried so hard she puked all of it up all over both of us. This is the first time I have to give her Antibotics. the Dr. suggested making smoothies. What would you do. How would you go about making smootihes.

Can you get it flavored? I know Walgreen's does it for a fee. I also snuck it in when they were almost but not quite asleep. Aim it toward the back of the cheek not the back of the throat which makes them gag. Hope it helps. for speedy recovery.

Can you imagine? I'm actually going to STROLL!!!!! What a concept! We may even head to JellyRolls for adult drinks and entertainment - I'm giddy with excitement!!

Would you come out to Alabama to install it?

Actually, we already have the surround system, but DH decided to drill holes though our hardwood floor, mount the speakers on the wall, and leave the wires exposed. I think he forgot that we have a very curious 2-yo DS, who promptly tugged on the speaker wires and pulled the speakers off the wall!

So now we need someone professional to install wireless speakers (or mount our speakers back on the wall and "snake" the wires behind the wall for us), fix the holes in our floor, and forbid DH to ever do home "improvements" ever again! (After seeing Kate's beautiful built-in bookshelves, I'm wishing I married her instead...)

I draw the liquid up in a syringe, lay them down, hold their mouth open, and shoot it in. Like giving meds to a dog/cat. not pretty, but it works. Now they just take it without trouble.

This is what I did when giving her the tylenol last night. and she was crying so hard that she threw it up.

Well I'm caught up (and I logged off before 10 last night!!) What am I going to do without a computer next week???


We finally told Matt where we are going. We had previously told him that we were going away for Mommy and Daddy time. Well today he finally guessed where we were going. He instructed us that we are not allowed to go on the Carousel or to see Indiana Jones without him. Like that's what we plan to spend our alone time doing!!! Gotta love kids.

Oh yeah - and he'll allow us to go as long as we bring him back a long list of things that he wants. I told him to pick one!

I'm glad that Matt took it so well. Are you sure you're okay with sacrificing the carousel from your schedule?

What airline are you using. I tried changing our dates to dec.4-dec. 11 and it was still 360 round trip.

I am hoping this fair weather sticks around.

You and me both! DH and I are leaving next Friday too, but earlier in the day. I don't have Any days off, but prepared my private students today for a two week hiatus so they keep practicing! Tomorrow I will do the same thing. Hopefully their parents will "encourage" them to continue while "Mrs. H" is in Pennsylvania.

I'm designing. Also, watching the High School Musical on Disney channel. It is actually very good for a teen show. Good message! All 4 of us are here watching - my DD20 is home for the week-end from college.

Yes on the taxes...but the one flight is extremely early. I may pay the extra $20 each to go a tad later. I am not so sure I can shuffle the kids out before dawn! Although I would love getting an early start! Have you noticed on American that the prices keep fluctuating? I have seen 3 prices for the same flight!

We have 2-3 inches and falling fast. How about you? I hate this weather..I wonder if I could fit into a cinderella costume?? Maybe WDW is hiring Florida weather has got to beat this!!

About 4 inches down when I was out with the dog an hour ago but it is coming down so fast!

As to the airfare, Sunday is the first day I can use our real dates. When I was checking similar flights for early November (Sun to Sun dates) I was getting $185 +/- pre tax, yesterday it was $165 pre tax and now today you got $160 (?). DH said if we can get the $165 on Sunday to just take it. We are looking at the 7AM depart and the 3:30pm return. Might take the 9:10 depart if we can get it for the same price (it was priced the same as the 7AM yesterday...)

No snow here yet today. It has been a weird winter for the U.P. I only have maybe two inches total on the ground. We usually have a couple feet.
