Tammi,
Love the tree topper..our Disney store is out of them too.
And they don't show it on disneyshopping either, but it was in a catalogue I got the other week.

Look forward to seeing them!

It was fabulous!!! I had a really nice time. Thanks for asking.

We just got back from skating and Nicholas' bday party. The kids all had a great time. I made them go lay down and try to nap for a little while before we head out to the parade tonight. I know, I'm a bad mommy for making Nicholas take a nap in the middle of his bday. But he stayed up later than usual last night, was up earlier than usual this morning, and roller skated for 3 hours. I'd say he's tired!

I told his dad he was welcome to come to the party. Do you think he showed? Of course not! :furious: I just called to ask him why he couldn't take a few hours out of his day to come to his son's party and his explanation was "I'm going to have something next weekend". Excuse me, but that doesn't tell me why you can't be here for this party! Now - mind you - today is Nicholas' actual bday, not next weekend, and this is the party that he is sharing with all his friends from school. Luckily Nicholas never asked why daddy wasn't there, but it just makes me want to

for him.

He is such a POS! Sorry for the tirade, but I needed to vent.

Tammi -
:grouphug: to Nicholas! I'm sorry that I missed his birthday!!! Please tell him happy birthday from me!

I'm also sorry that his dad is such a pain! My sister's ex is like that! She divorced him while she was pregnant with their child. Once he found out she was a girl, he really wasn't interested. Luckily, she married a great man her second time around, and he's been a real dad to Marina. I just don't get some attitudes about children. Well, it's your ex's loss! Nicholas and Alyssa are GREAT KIDS and he's missing out on it!

:grouphug: :grouphug: to you all as you deal with this!

Sending you lots of :wizard: Jen!

Yup! It hit me!! My shopping is 99% done (just a couple of things from the kids to their dad), and the majority is wrapped. This is one year I'm on top of that! I usually wait until the last minute to wrap everything, and that makes for a long Christmas Eve! I'm determined that this year the only thing I will have to do on Christmas Eve is download music to Katie's Disney mix stick, make my overnight French Toast and watch White Christmas. I plan to enjoy it!!!
Yay Glynis! I plan to wrap everything that I have next weekend, while the kids are with their dad. I still need to shop for my parents, which I have no idea what to get my mother. Any ideas what I can have the kids get their deadbeat dad? I'm going to let them pick out a cheap cologne and figure I should get one other thing.

I will tell him! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that sometime down the road I find a man that will do the same. Thanks, Glynis!

Anyone have any big plans this week?
Not until Saturday. I'm taking Alyssa to see the Nutcracker. We'll have some Mommy/daughter time.

Hi, all! I don't have much time right now, but I wanted to check in quickly.

We went out and cut our tree today. We'll put it up tomorrow and decorate on Tuesday. Everything has to fit in around other activities. I feel so behind the 8 ball at the moment!

Take care! I'll try to be back tomorrow.

Wow, I can't believe how slow it's been.

Lynn~ Love the pics, the boys sure look like they are having fun.

Christi~ Good to see you. Fingers crossed that the new meds work.

Tammi~ Love the tree topper. Looks like Nicholas' party was a success. Sorry his dad was a no show.

Jen~ Way to go on the babysitting $.

Jo~ Can't wait to see the pics from your meeting with Terry.

Kristine~ Thanks for posting the pics. Looks like everyone is having a blast.

Anne Marie~ Sounds like an exhausting but fun day.

We had a busy weekend. Emma's party was yesterday morning. I thought with 20 kids it was going to be crazy but it went so smoothly and everyone had a blast.
Here is a pic of everyone and their bears

After making the bears we had lunch in the mall with everyone and then cake. My niece wanted to spend the night with Emma so we headed home and Emma opened her gifts. The girls played and I took a nap. We then headed to my girlfriends and made Gingerbread houses.

And my favorite~Molly ate more candy than she put on the house

Not much went on today, although I found out that my SIL, the one I can't stand, is pregnant. She says she took 2 home tests and really can't tell if she is or not but will find out for sure on Wednesday. She is the one in England and has one son. She has sworn up and down she was just having Alex so this is quite the oops. I think she is in denial!! It has really made my day, week, year. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that Alex will have a sibling as he is very lonely. He overhear Eric saying to Elaine that he would ship one of ours to her and Alex said "please send Emma!" I just know that this is so not in her plan and has thrown her for a loop. She is not very maternal, so I am surprised that they even have one.

Hi everyone! Hope all our DDA friends at Disney are having a great time!

We went into the city today to see Santa at Macy's. The line moved fast & Santa was soooo nice to the kids. He took so much time with them & asked them questions if they were good & what they wanted for Christmas. Then we looked at the windows, saw the tree at rock center..its huge & fat this year..very nice! Our course we had to stop into American Girl & Nintendo World. I am pooped from all the walking & am going to call it a night.

Just wanted to stop in & say "Hi'!!!

Lynn,
Nice pictures!

Tammi,

Hi Robyn. The pictures are great. 20 kids for a party...that is a lot! I'm glad it went well for you. Did the kids make the bears, or just get them? Did they get an outfit with them. We did the gingerbread houses last year, but I'm not sure we will do them again. I think I'd rather make something that can be eaten afterwards!!! It was fun to do it once though!

I was just telling dh I forgot to buy tape. I am ready to wrap & have it out of the way! This is the 1st time I have been ahead of the shopping.

We love french toast, would you mind sharing your recipe?
