Well I would love to stay up with you all since you are having a good time, but I am off to bed. I had my last 2 religion classes tonight (last before the holiday). The parents have me such beautiful gifts..i was so surprised..1 mom gave me a Lenox cross ornament...the other a crystal angel with a candle, another a beautiful little porcelain snowman. This is my first year teaching & I wasn't expecting such generousity. The classes were fun since most of it was a holiday party anyway. Both groups watched Veggie Tales & ate popcorn & cupcakes.

I have alot on my mind tonight about Daniel. Long story short..he is gifted (been reading & writing since he was 18 months) 146 IQ (not from my side of the family I assure you! ) Bottom line we have been butting heads with the principal over his education (or lack there of). His school does not offer anything for gifted so he is very bored. We have found a school for him but it's 40 minutes away & it's $10,000 a year. This school works with Johns Hopkins & kids who go there are pretty much set with an ivy league school for college. I think its the only way to go. It's just so much $ & he wouldn't be in our local elementary anymore (with his sisters)....I also hate him being that far away from me since his asthma is bad & I like to be right there in a few minutes..anyway, thats my saga for the day.

I am rambling because I am tired...have a nice night.

Hmmm. Our new tree smells like cheap luggage. I am not fond of that odor. It sits up higher than the "good" tree - much more clearance between the bottom branches and the floor. That could be a plus. I can't reach to start stringing the lights and DH went to bed, so for now we have a big naked tree. That smells funny.

Ok ok you caught me. It seems as though whenever I finally get done hen pecking out a post,three pages have slipped by.
As a side note, even though I don't know you as well as Deb, you seem way too good a person to have to be going through such a hard time this christmas.

I'm just waiting for Tom to finish the serenade so I can head to bed with Chuck. Chuck is currently driving me nuts. He has to wait for at least 1/2 hour after taking his meds before going to bed. There is nothing good on TV so he is flipping channels. I don't mean regular flipping channels. I mean flipping channels every 30 seconds or more often!

Man have I got a lot of stuff to do before tomorrow. I just don't feel like doing it though. Pass me one of those drinks Janet, I feel like I could use one.

One of our good friends sent me an email tonight telling me that I'm not as young as I used to be so I'm going to have aches and pains. He gave me his secret to dealing with them. A daily 12 pack of beer. He says he probably still has pain, but doesn't feel it. I sent an email back asking if a 5th of vodka would do the same thing
