It is a small digital photo clock with alarm, calendar, & temperature. It holds up to 60 pictures. It is on sale online at J C Penny for $19.99.

Would be a nice stocking stuffer!

Good Morning DDA'ers :sunny:

Guess what or should I say who I received in the mail yesterday.......PAL MICKEY!! I was so puzzled that Tom would send me a pkg until I saw what was in the pkg.

I am even more excited about our trip now!!!

I also wanted to say THANK YOU for all the Christmas cards so far this year. I always tape mine around the top and sides of our double front door. I ended up putting all my Disney friends around one door and other friends and family around the other door. When people come over they always ask about the pictures and I always point out that these are my Disney friends on this side. So now they really know that ya'll exist when I talk about ya'll.

I hope everyone has a very blessed Christmas and Holiday season.

Lynn

Lynn I love the new siggy picture. What a beautiful bunch.

Vicki - I must say when I read what you wrote my heart skipped about 3 beats and my breath caught. I'm telling you, all of that couldn't have come on a better day. I read through everything and it really helped put things into perspective for me. Some of them were so appropriate for what I am feeling today. Thank you so much.

And thank you all for lifting me up!!!

I thought the same thing when i opened my envolope!

I am a little sad that my mom isn't going to be at our house on Christmas Eve. We used to do Christmas Eve at her house every year, then moved it to mine after she and my father split up. DS has never had a Christmas Eve without her. :guilty: DS misses her. DH is really fed up with my mother over the way she handled some things (OK, lots of things) over the summer and he says he doesn't want to go visit her at Easter. The airfare is a decent price right now. I have tickets on a courtesy hold so I will have to talk to him about it tonight and TRY to get him to be serious. He keeps ranting and raving and saying he won't go up there. His choice, but I should go and take DS to see her.
Yes, you should, Elizabeth. You never know when she won't be around to spend time with. Yesterday would have been my Mom's 86th birthday and this is the first year I have not spent at least a part of the time with my Mom. I miss her and my Dad (who died suddenly at Christmas time 14 years ago) so very much right now. Please think seriously about taking your DS to go see your Mom.

I'm so glad you will be home Christmas Eve. It's so important to do those traditions! You guys will have so much fun!

We are starting a new tradition this year. At our church Christmas party, each family was given a gingerbread house kit to put together. Unfortunately, they didn't allow enough time for the frosting to harden, and all the houses fell apart on the trip from the church home. Nobody's house survived! My kids were crushed. Well, while I was in Costco yesterday, I found the same kit. There were only 2 left, so I snatched one up. On Saturday morning, we will cement the walls and roof together and let it dry all day long. Then, after our big Christmas Eve meal, and after the kids have watched Polar Express, we'll gather around the table and decorate it together. My hope is it will last at least through the night, and be a nice centerpiece for our Christmas breakfast! Here's hoping!!!

That's a great idea. One of our neighbors gave us a kit for Christmas and the kids have been bugging me to help them make it. I haven't felt up to it, but I do want to do it. Maybe we'll try that too although it would make a nice centerpiece for our big family party on Sunday  They don't have school on Friday so maybe we can start it on Thursday night and finish it on Friday. We'll have to see how things go.

One tradition that Alan and I started when we moved away from family, was to buy a new puzzle, wrap it and put it under the tree. After all the presents are opened, we set up a card table, and work on the puzzle in our pj's. We pop popcorn, nibble on chips and dip, and spend the day doing our puzzle. Now the kids get in on it as well. It's become a fun tradition.
We do the same thing, Glynis! And play games too. I have two new puzzles packed already to take to WDW so we have one for Christmas Day.

I agree with Elin, Elizabeth. Take DS and go. DH will come around, and if he doesn't, you'll know you did the right thing.

Beings we are not going to Disney for Garrett's birthday :guilty: , Garrett has decided that he would like a party at the community center. He went to a party there last week & really enjoyed himself.

It only cost $10 an hour to rent & this includes tables & full use of the kitchen. The only problem, Garrett would like to have a DJ & I have no idea how to go about finding one.

Also we would have to schedule this for after his birthday. I do not have enough time to get this planned out & invitations made before school lets out for the holidays.

I suppose we could always just take a stereo with us & play cd's, but I would like to make this special for him. Oh what to do, what to do :confused3

Do you know any teenagers? I bet someone right in your neighborhood has enough equipment to be your dj.

What a surprise that was to see myself inside a Mickey head! Cute! I'll show the kids tomorrow. They'll love it.
