Coming into work, who knew that everytime I would look at MTM's outfit, I would feel even 10 degrees hotter! Our air conditioning is on the brink and right now who knows how long it will take to fix. I am in a very small office with one other person and we just finally got a vent in there, but with no air at all, it is very close and hot. Today it was almost 90 in there. Fans just were not doing the trick. I told Stephanie that I was going to wear shorts and a skinny strap shirt tomorrow :rotfl2:  Hey it is the Minnie shirt with the american flag on it :lmao: :lmao:
Here is Thomas ready for the links

Glynis - what thrills me is that we have been through milestones together, and not just the post count milestones. We've been through your surgery and weight loss, Denise's scare with Rees, Jo's divorce, Amy and Dawn's pregnancies, my homelife troubles, too many deaths, sicknesses and injuries to count, Kate's scare with Nick. I could go on and on. We've all been there together and seen each other through, good and bad. Oh crap, I'm getting teary just thinking about it. We are bound by something, I'm not sure what, but it all started because of our love of Disney, and grew into something wonderful!

That's exactly it!!! And you know what? I think that Walt would love what we have established! It's exactly what he wanted to happen at his parks.

You are so right Tammi!!!

Sharing my news - good and bad with all of you is one of the first things I want to do!!!!!

If you had told me a year ago that some of my best friends would be on the internet and that we would have been trips together and planning more - I would have thought you were crazy -

well now I know you are crazy - but in a good way!!!!!!

Thanks for the info Kristine! I appreciate you taking the time to look for me! This is gonna cost us $234.20 to go to HHN's then...now to convince myself that it's worth it for 7 hours just to get the crap scared out of me.

Hi everyone. I sort of read along at work today, but of course, couldn't post there. I went out tonight and came back to 15 more pages!

I want to thank Vicki (who's a computer whiz) for posting the mockup of my credit card. I am so excited. I think someone asked if it was the Chase Disney card. No - in fact, it's a Capital One. I've had the account for years, so this is just a cool new card - not a whole new account.

Marci - as Tammi said, cats are something else. If they want to do something, they will, no matter what the barriers or handicaps.

Matthew is a cutie - good thinking, Kate.

Congrats to Davis on the tooth loss and to Denise for the cruise.

Glynis - congrats to you, too. Alan thinks you're going to do WHAT in two days? :lmao: :lmao:

Paula - with all of your talents, I'm sure you will find something to supplement your income. This doesn't pertain to your making cash, but the notary thing brought this story to mind. When Buddy and his friend were 21, we went to Disney World. Bud and his friend wanted to get tattoos, so they were looking in the Orlando yellow pages for tattoo artists. Chris found one and he said, "this guy should be good, he's also a notary!" I told him "so am I, do you want me to do your tattoos?" They didn't. (They did get the tattoos. Surprisingly, I like Bud's - it's only about 1-1/2 inches - Snoopy and Woodstock. Very cute).

The best part is that you are kind to newcomers and make them feel a part of the group.

I got 2 packages in the mail today from the DDA. Vicki sent our family a bear for us to have while our PM is travelling. He came with 3 t-shirts and the cutest hoodie. It was so nice of her to do this for our family.

Dawn sent Colby a package to help him complete his "Cars" collection.

I can't thank both of them enough for thinking of my family. The DDA is so generous.

I forgot to tell you guys

I spoke with the doctor today - she said that Nick actually does have a small hole in his heart - between the left and right ventricles - but that 25% of adults have this problem and that it will never be a problem for him

I asked if he could play sports - ride roller coasters etc and she said absolutely - we even talked about the undetected heart conditions like that boy on RNR and she told me I never have to worry about that with Nick!!!!

I asked what caused the irregular EKG and she said the test is very picky about the leads and they must not have gotten good placement of the leads either time.

We talked about how he seems much better since he was on the antibiotic a few weeks ago and she feels that he must have had a sinus infection that wasn't showing up

so as of now - my sweet little boy has a clean bill of health and is acting like it!!!!!! It has been a long time since I haven't been really worried about him!!!!!!!

Okay guys -- I need some PD and prayers, please. Jessie, our adopted cat of almost a year, is hurt. She may have been sleeping on top of the garage door when it was up this morning and got caught in it when I put it down. Needless to say, I am a nervous wreck and am feeling like a horrible parent. I found her when I got back from an errand, over in the grass crying and panting. I took her to our vet, who was at lunch, but the assistant took her and made her comfortable. They will have to sedate her, do x-rays to see what is broken and if there is internal bleeding and decide what to do. I am almost hysterical with guilt and I dread the call from the vet. I'm praying all that is broken is her leg. I'm also sick to my stomach since I'll have to tell the boys when I pick them up from school in an hour.

Please send any extra good thoughts Jessie's way. I'd be grateful. :sad2:

Marci

Marci,
There was nothing you could do. How would you have known she was there?
Just in the house the cats are always underfoot. Even when we step on their tail trying to get out of the way of crushing them, they do it again :lmao:

:cloud9: See what I mean! You guys rock!!!! I can't believe that I've been here for 7 months. It seems like I've known you for years & years. I warned people about not getting involved in chat rooms & discussion boards and here I am addicted myself.

Thank you all for the good vibes!:goodvibes We are back from the specialist...the short version:

They would like is sugar level to be 100...120 on a bad day, his is 250!!!

He begins daily medication today (oral) has to monitor daily via the finger stab system..or I should say, I have to monitor it...since this is the way it seems to be going.

Besides excessive thirst, he has no other symptoms...

Diet, exercise, medicine, monitor & we go back in 3 weeks....

Kristine

Kristine,
