I'm due April 4th by my calculations. 4 weeks along today. My first doctor's appointment is August 6th. I AM SO NERVOUS! All I keep hearing right now is women having miscarriages, so please pray for me! We're telling our parents tonight (Y'all are the first to know!). I'm just SO NERVOUS!!

I'm really upset right now. I'm trying not to be, but I can't help it. We told our parents tonight and they're all excited for us. Then I called my sister on the phone since she was out and she was so happy, she couldn't believe it.
Then I called my brother and SIL and told them. They acted like I just told them I ate chicken for dinner or something as equally exciting. My brother hardly shows his excitement about things, but I expected more from my SIL.
I mean, there was no trace of a smile in her voice or ANYTHING. She was just like, "Congratulations, I'm happy for y'all. I told Joe I figured you were pregnant. You want to talk back to him?" Completely monotone.

I don't know if it's hormones or what, but I've been crying ever since. When they told us they were pregnant with Logan I was so happy for them. I gave them hugs and asked details and wanted to go to the ultrasounds. It just seems like they don't care at all. Would it have hurt to show a little enthusiasm? I love Logan like he's my own son, I guess I won't be getting that treatment back. I'm just so hurt that I can't even be excited right now. I thought it would be a happy occasion and that I'd be crying happy tears, but I'm not. I just want my baby to be loved too. I'm sorry for venting. Darren told me not to worry about them and that this is our time and if they don't like it, oh well. They got all the attention with Logan and I didn't act like a jerk to them. I can't even sleep. I'm so tired. I don't even know why I'm telling all of you this. I'm sorry. You think I'm wrong to be upset?

I'm just throwing some ideas out. Give them a little time, they will be excited and happy about the baby.

Anything you feel is never wrong! It's so understandable to be upset. maybe they need some time to absorb the news?! Listen to your wonderful husband- he's right! I get that it hurts you to get that kind of reaction but don't let anyone stop your happy time!!!!!

Thanks. As far as I know they're waiting until November to start trying for another baby. Honestly, I wanted a baby when they told us they were having one, but I didn't for one second take that away from them. They were out eating tonight, so no one had any surgery or anything. It was kind of like she already 'figured' so it wasn't a big deal. Logan has been loved for a whole year and now that it's my turn they aren't happy because they might be trying for another baby? That seems kind of selfish to me. I do understand what you mean though, but I know how to at least fake being happy until the real thing pops up. I mean, seriously. She sounded like it meant absolutely nothing to her.
I just feel sick from all this. I know it's probably not that big of a deal and I'm probably just overrun with emotions right now, but JEEZ. I guess I need to get a grip.
